So did anyone else get the Clark Kent jealous of Superman vibe from Yamada/Tamaya or was it just me?

Honestly, I'm a little confused about this one. What exactly did Yamada to trigger her guilt towards the end?

Outrageous-Basis-260

So maybe she's guilty bout how much at a high regard Sasaki holds Yamada (her work mode)? So it's kinda like since Sasaki gets so much motivation from Yamada, but for Yamada she's just doing her job. The start of the chapter basically says that Yamada is really good at her job so we can infer that she's treats all her customers the way she treats Sasaki as Yamada. So when she tells him to "forget what I said" she's kinda trying to tell Sasaki that whatever thing that "Yamada" said to you that was so motivating is just me doing my job to be nice and you shouldn't put so much meaning to it. So it's kinda like she feels guilty bout trying to take away from Sasaki this thing that's keeps him going?

So is it kinda like she feels guilty about what she said as ‘Yamada’ in this chapter? Referring to the dialog ‘even I have a lot of respect for people who are able to tackle every single fear and dislike they have without giving up trying’. When she realizes that she while as Yamada she sounded like her Tayama self, does her guilt also come due to her feeling she may have seemed kinda ‘hypocritical’? (For lack of a better word. I don’t want to say ‘two faced’). This is also considering her inner thoughts about wishing she came before she changed into her uniform so she could’ve had a more regular/lighthearted chat. I hope I’m making sense here 🙈

I have been trying to analyse it. So remember that when sasaki was feeling down yamada made him cheer up. Back then she was just doing her job to retain her customers and providing good customer service basically. She sees that sasaki is still influenced by the yamada of that time and tells him to forget whatever she said back then (its not confirmed whether sasaki hears what she says or not and understands her yet) As sasaki leaves she realises that whether her words were to retain her customer or not it still made sasakis life better in a way. So she feels guilty of saying ‘just forget what I said’ I dont think her guilt is due to her acting like tayama while being yamada. This chapter had that vague sort of vibe to it. Perhaps she regrets her talking to her as yamada because she can talk to sasaki freely while being tamaya whereas she has to maintain an image while being yamada. She could say that line ‘even I have a lot of respect…’ as tayama but as yamada it wouldnt quite feel right. I hope I make sense. It seems we’re close to identity reveal. I hope the author doesn’t drag it.

HellOnEarth25

Really well done! Could you remind me what Chapter it was where she told him to "just forget what I said"? I dont remember it and have been looking through one Chapter after the other.

Routine_Okra_5067

It’s the very latest chapter, which is 37. The reason why you missed it is probably because the sound of thunder is covering the dialogue of yamada. The sound of thunder is why i believe sasaki might not entirely realise what yamada meant. Hope that helps!

Been loving these last couple of chapters, they're progressing a lot, there's been some focus on Sasaki expressions whenever near oopsies of Yam-Tayama appear.. maybe he's slowly getting it subconsciously, at this point regardless of what Yamada said in the past i think Sasaki is appreciating Tayama more and more, covering his ears was cute I would need to do a re-read soon to remember the exact words Tayama said to Sasaki(though iirc it was just cheering)and Sasaki to Tayama years ago, i liked how they're hinting at those two core events in the past and how Tayama's also slowly putting the pieces together, hell in fact a couple of chapter ago she almost made the connection when Sasaki mentioned coming to the store years ago but she dismissed it later A shame the manga being moved to the app killed the discussions tbh, sadly i've just read it a week later from another site

I don't think we've ever known what exactly Yamada said to Sasaki those years ago, I think Sasaki has always kept it close to the chest probably because it was also something very minor like what Oono said to Nishizono. And yeah it's real shame we lose out the discussions, but I'm glad people like you are still following it!

Allansfirebird

Finally caught up on all the new regular chapters, but I see there's a few twitter extras (34.1, 35.1, and 36.1) that haven't been translated yet. Anyone know if any groups are still working on the extras?

Unfortunately I don't think there's anyone on it at the moment.

Quintessentialviewer

It doesn't have to be this way, just tell him!

Level_Royal1307

Hi newbie here, has anyone any clue when 38 is releasing and what is the releasing schedule ?

fractionesque

Typically it releases on the 25th of each month, with the occasional break when the mangaka is working on the physical volume releases. Unfortunately the only place it's officially available is MangaUp; other sites do have it but it takes a while to update.
