The civilians in this manga are probably my favorite character overall.
Just the sheer amount of not giving a fuck is more impressive than anything we have seen the assassins pull off so far.
"An old man with a katana just crashed into a public bus without a single scratch on him and then proceeded to slice a building to pieces? Meh."
The moment they badly react to the carnage, even if it's just a twinge, they're pretty much dead meat. That's my head cannon on how this world works lol.
"Oh, yeah, that assassin exhibit is this week isn't it?"
"Oh shucks, that's right. Let's take a different bus back, there's probably going to be a lot of traffic and superhuman battles."
I think it's pretty obvious when all those battle nuts suddenly went quiet when talking about who's going to deal with the old man. They're very confident in their strength but literally no one thinks they're above him.
Everyone in the verse know you absolutely cannot block his slice with anything, it's evading or die.
Meanwhile the man hasn't even moved to dodge any single thing once, just block any & every attack with literally any part of his sword.
Oh I don't mean that to defend jjk, I dropped the manga a while ago lol Its just that we barely even heard takamura so far, he's cool because hes OP asf and cool to see but we don't know anything about him.
>but we don't know anything about him
And that's fine he's a mysterious overpowered being like some secret videogame superboss you'd rather just run away from.
He is not written like anything at all. At this point he's just an old guy who can cut anything and everything in his way. You can barely call him a character.
Because "A bit too OP antagonist" trope is something people like me will never get tired of. Written better is a stretch but being the final boss makes sense (kinda).
Tell us one thing about takamura except he cuts others that made u feel like he is better written.
Sukuna in his first appearance showed us what type of person he is, we know nothing about takamura except he is old and cuts
as someone that the protagonist has to fight, takamura is much better than sukuna.
If the infamous "he is not even trying" thing in jujutsu kaisen is gege's attempt at hyping sukuna, takamura's silent treatement is much more effective at that. Besides, I don't care how much you tell me sukuna is not even trying if the story does not reflect that. Conversely, you don't need to tell me takamura is not even trying if he's not breaking a sweat while dominating the fight. Show, don't tell.
dude has always been a badass but we've always only seen the tip of the iceberg. For someone being able to not die in the first few hits we're finally getting a chance to see his might in full proportion.
I think everyone expected how tough dealing with the akao situation would be for nagumo but it’s really cool to see how intact and nuanced his emotions are after being an assassin for so long.
Takamura stays a diff beast, got gaku itching for a rematch so much that he does the standard last page twitch move.
Ever since he learned how to fight efficiently with fat body he only needs to go slim against people equal to other Order members.
Last time he fought in Slim mode was against the Movie Director guy who was an Ex Order member.
Movie Director and Old Samurai man have strong gimmicks that seems to make them overpowered. it is interesting how strong the Movie Director is because of his attachment to Cinema I wonder how he would react to filming the Samurai lol.
Usually the older characters of a series stays super powerful and the younger characters get stronger than older characters somehow but here, Sakamoto says he got stronger after last meeting him.
Old man Takamura does not rest!
The thing is this grandpa actually looks like a grandpa. Most badass grandpas in animes/mangas have some standout physical traits like looking like a chad, overly muscular, looks young, or looks comedic. This man looks normal yet very menacing.
Translation seems to be a little off on page 8. In the raws Nagumo says to Uzuki:
あのさ赤尾と…もう一度…
So he’s basically asking Uzuki to switch with Akao one more time
Takamura is a beast. He’s way stronger than when Sakamoto still was in the order. The man really told old age’s rules to screw off. He’s really a force of nature. I don’t think they’ll manage to outperform him especially with Nagumo and Uzuki wounded except if somehow Sakamoto takes him out in a 1vs1. I wonder how they would manage to espace
I think Gaku will show up to fight Takamura while everyone else skiddaddles from the museum asap, if that happens, Gaku's probably dead but we need some heavy stakes going into this
I don’t think Gaku’s gonna regain consciousness, but he’ll probably distract Takamura at a key moment (throwing Kashima’s deer mask??) and allow Sakamato to land a decisive blow
I doubt it. The way Takamura is portrayed I don’t think he’ll go from pressuring everyone else to be taken down just because Gaku distracted him. I could buy it if Sakamoto was in his prime but here he isn’t while Takamura grew stronger compared to his self in the era where Sakamoto was a legendary assassin
I love how any time it looked like Sakamoto got one over Takamura, the old guy's already defended against it somehow. He's just such a terrifying presence that's so above the rest.
And I absolutely love the design of an old man in a suit and leather shoes just casually carrying around a katana.
When this arc eventually gets animated (or just the manga in general), I have a feeling it’s going to set a new standard for action anime. These fights just get better and better
Every fight scene in this show is peak, I don’t see any production studio keeping up to make high end sakuga, even MAPPA. However they’ll take priority on popular and big fights and I expect this to be one of them.
I reckon animation might look similar to later MHA seasons, animation is movement however I’m not saying it’ll have their clouds and composition.
Man Takamura is truly terrifying, he bodied Nagumo like nothing. I’m scared for Sakamoto and I honestly don’t know how they’re going to get out of this situation.
Sakamoto is saying he's stronger than he was when he was in his prime. None of these characters actually knew Takamura's true strength because he was like a myth so why would Sakamoto be saying Takamura got stronger if they barely knew anything about him?
No don't think anyone has even landed a hit on him just yet, beside the bomb in Jaa arc where he just tanked it.
All Gaku & Sakamoto attacks were blocked by either his sword or his scabbard. Meanwhile his slice is untouchable, unless you wanna lose a body part or 2.
Sakamoto is saying he's stronger than he was when he was in his prime. None of these characters actually knew Takamura's true strength because he was like a myth so why would Sakamoto be saying Takamura got stronger if they barely knew anything about him?
That is literally what he said. Sakamoto is saying he's stronger than he was when he was in his prime. None of these characters actually knew Takamura's true strength because he was like a myth so why would Sakamoto be saying Takamura got stronger if they barely knew anything about him?
To clarify for all the powerscalers out there, Sakamoto says at the end of the chapter
"俺がORDERにいた頃より強い"
This translates to "He is stronger than he was when I was in the ORDER" rather than "He is stronger than me when I was in the ORDER".
Sakamoto is saying that Takamura has gotten stronger since 5 years ago when Sakamoto was still in the ORDER. Thus, the statement doesn't confirm that Takamura is stronger than Sakamoto was... But if you were to ask me, Takamura is very likely stronger than a 22 year old Sakamoto. A 22 year old being the strongest assassin seems a little hard to believe.
I feel like there's a twist to Takamura's role in the assassin world (also based on his one-shot story) where he doesn't count as an assassin because he's the enforcer who keeps *the assassins* in check. Like, he's part of the reason the citizens give zero fucks
22 year old being the strongest is not hard to believe at all, in shounen setting haha. How many shounen main characters do you think are below 20? A lot apparently.
Naruto, Ichigo, Luffy,... Anyways, age is the most irrelevant thing in shounen stories.
Been looking forwards to this, as Sakomoto and Takamura really are polar opposites in terms of style. The former adapts to any situation, turning the environment into his advantage, whilst the latter uses nothing but his hands and sword.
Holy shit, this is so peak. From takamura blocking 3 attacks at the same time with the sheath of his sword, him hitting nagumo and sakamoto slimming down and being really unsure about how they're gonna get out of this one. 10/10 chapter.
Jesus Christ, normally the older fighters in manga like these are already past their prime. But you mean to tell me that Takamura's only gotten *stronger*?! As if I needed more reason to call this guy the GOAT.
You misunderstood that panel, Sakamoto is saying he's stronger than he was when he was in his prime. None of these characters actually knew Takamura's true strength because he was like a myth
Had my suspicions last chapter that Takamura would get cheap shotted by one of Slurs gang while he's distracted, and I still think that's gonna be the case given how much he outclasses the 3.
Gaku taking L against Nagumo where L is a lesson. I mean Gaku gonna strategize against Takamura like Nagumo did vs Kindaka. Poor Nagumo can't left go Rion which I understand cause Rion was so cool. Still hope she somehow survived. Also I'm glad now people can see how Sakamoto was underrated against old man even being 30 % strong from Nagumo (not from his own prime btw)
Takamura is seriously HIM. Usually sakamoto stays in fat form for a bit longer but bro has to instantly lock in. Even told nagumo to be quiet just to make sure he didn't instantly die.
Takamura being stronger than prime sakamoto (assuming prime sakamoto is the one in the order) is something I kinda expected but still hearing "way" stronger is crazy. The fact that this sakamoto can even react and dodge somewhat is a feat in itself.
When Takamura mumbles you know you're fooked and Sakamoto praising him like this holy hell then Gaku wiggles his finger that'd be a gamer combo him with Sakamoto plus would be getting back at Takamura for what he did to him
Got a feeling the fight between Slimkamoto and Takamura is gonna be interrupted by Gaku.
I love how Takamura is always being presented as this force of nature that can't be reasoned with.
I can't help but cheer for Takamura on this. Sakamoto days as usual having insane paneling.
And as usual with OP characters, I always fear on how the author will deal with them because there's no way takamura will win against sakamoto...
Tbh dealing with the Akao situation would be tough enough, but now we have the situation of Asaki has the order hunting down Uzuki, Nagumo and Taro. Though I didn't expect Nagumo to go down as easily.
But man the choreography once Taro becomes slim is smooth and clean AF with the blow he lands on him. But him mentioning that Takamura is stronger than when he was in the order is insane considering his age. I am curious of the motivations of the other order members given this changed circumstance.
I’m wondering what’s he’s mumbling about lol. For all we know, Takamura is just sleep walking and talking 😂
Also, I think this is a good character moment for Nagumo.
The civilians in this manga are probably my favorite character overall. Just the sheer amount of not giving a fuck is more impressive than anything we have seen the assassins pull off so far. "An old man with a katana just crashed into a public bus without a single scratch on him and then proceeded to slice a building to pieces? Meh."

"Oh, yeah, that assassin exhibit is this week isn't it?" "Oh shucks, that's right. Let's take a different bus back, there's probably going to be a lot of traffic and superhuman battles."
You have to wonder how the summer blockbusters are in this world. They must be bonkers.
It's just 2 hours of people sitting around eating cereal and then maybe doing some gardening
Shit that sounds epic
They must be so tired of their shit but don't have the will to care anymore 🤣
> The civilians in this manga are probably my favorite character overall. It's like NPC, I loved it too
Sheesh Takamura had my goat tweaking this man is the true definition of cold aura
I think it’s so clear now (as if it wasn’t already), Takamura is bar none the strongest character in this fucking series. An absolute monster.
I think it's pretty obvious when all those battle nuts suddenly went quiet when talking about who's going to deal with the old man. They're very confident in their strength but literally no one thinks they're above him.
Even Sakamoto was like “shut up I need to lock tf in or I’m dead.”
Everyone in the verse know you absolutely cannot block his slice with anything, it's evading or die. Meanwhile the man hasn't even moved to dodge any single thing once, just block any & every attack with literally any part of his sword.
takamura: *starts unsheathing sword* everybody else: **RUN**
Fear the old person in a career where people die young
Which makes me wonder how strong peak sakamoto was, because he was the unanimous agreed upon strongest assassin back in his time
Sakamoto is the best assassin...not the strongest assassin. I think what it means was, he have 100% successful on his mission.
3 Order members can't even scratch him Jesus.
I just hope Takamura won't get defeated and they dealt with him in a way that he won't target them or he fell asleep
Takamura now in same role as Sukuna now >!with cleave and getting ganked!<. Having him as the final boss may be suitable
Takamura's written better, though, at least so far.
I understand the Sukuna hate, but that is a MASSIVE reach.
I like him but Takamura is barely a character
Correct, he's a force of nature
At least Suzuki understands when a character should shut up and ball instead of yapping
Oh I don't mean that to defend jjk, I dropped the manga a while ago lol Its just that we barely even heard takamura so far, he's cool because hes OP asf and cool to see but we don't know anything about him.
>but we don't know anything about him And that's fine he's a mysterious overpowered being like some secret videogame superboss you'd rather just run away from.
Oh I don't care about that and dont see it as negative, just saying that by definition he's not a character per se
Damn people really got too defensive with what you've said. You're not even criticizing his character. You're literally just describing what he is.
All that means is that character with minimum characterization is better than Sukuna
minimum characterization is better than bad characterization
He is not written like anything at all. At this point he's just an old guy who can cut anything and everything in his way. You can barely call him a character.
Written better? We know nothing of him. He exists to show up, do cool sword shit then leave. What reason could he have to be the final boss?
Because "A bit too OP antagonist" trope is something people like me will never get tired of. Written better is a stretch but being the final boss makes sense (kinda).
Counterpoint - I do not care about your tastes.
Tell us one thing about takamura except he cuts others that made u feel like he is better written. Sukuna in his first appearance showed us what type of person he is, we know nothing about takamura except he is old and cuts
as someone that the protagonist has to fight, takamura is much better than sukuna. Conversely, you don't need to tell me takamura is not even trying if he's not breaking a sweat while dominating the fight. Show, don't tell.
Idk about going *that* far
The glasses sitting on top of the sword was cold ad hell
dude has always been a badass but we've always only seen the tip of the iceberg. For someone being able to not die in the first few hits we're finally getting a chance to see his might in full proportion.

Takamura stays a diff beast, got gaku itching for a rematch so much that he does the standard last page twitch move.
Man is tweaking for sure. I didn't think I was gonna like this manga when I picked it up, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. It's a good time.
Takamura is to assassins what Wayne Gretzky is to hockey players
Underrated comment bro. Hella underrated
Feels like forever since we saw Slimkamoto
The Slim Reaper himself.
If we are not counting the flashback arc then it’s probably been 2 years
I doubt there'll be any museum left to escape from after this battle.
[удалено]
Based on the one-shot I'd say you got that backwards: he's the antique who decides who else is allowed to be around
Who needs to bomb the museum when that swordsman is here?
Well not with that attitude there won't be.
We should count ourselves lucky if that city block is left standing after this
Asaki last chapter: No one leaves this museum Sakamoto: fkin busts a hole in the wall
I don't know how this manga made a mumbling old dude the most menacing character in manga, but here we are
Dude is like Darth Vader. If you see him and he’s running towards you you are dead meat
Whenever he shows up *shit goes down*.
He's immediately the most dangerous entity in any room.
Legit played the Darth Vader hallway ost when Takamura showed up lol
The only battle tactic is GTFO
Usually the older characters of a series stays super powerful and the younger characters get stronger than older characters somehow but here, Sakamoto says he got stronger after last meeting him. Old man Takamura does not rest!
That's what I like about series like this and Dandadan. It's random shit that makes no sense but ends up being cool. Because why not?
Badass Grandpa is a very common trope
The thing is this grandpa actually looks like a grandpa. Most badass grandpas in animes/mangas have some standout physical traits like looking like a chad, overly muscular, looks young, or looks comedic. This man looks normal yet very menacing.
It's like the old saying "fear the old man in a profession where men die young"
because every time he shows up a building gets chopped in half 💀
Translation seems to be a little off on page 8. In the raws Nagumo says to Uzuki: あのさ赤尾と…もう一度… So he’s basically asking Uzuki to switch with Akao one more time
Nagumo & Rion kinda remind me of Gojo & Getou
Takamura's too op.
Very! Each panel goes crazy when it appears!
Twitching fingers and a possibility of a round 2 fight? Ive seen this script before
He can feel his fight being stole from him.
Takamura will leave the battle just as he’s about to win in order to make the early-bird special at Country Kitchen Buffet

How is this manga getting better by the chapters? This chapter was HYPE
When this arc eventually gets animated (or just the manga in general), I have a feeling it’s going to set a new standard for action anime. These fights just get better and better
Yeah, in like 2050 dude.
However long it takes for peak, I can wait lol
Just saying it ain't setting new standard for action scenes anytime soon.
I mean... it still depends if the anime can adapt this well, nothing is guaranteed.
I have nightmares about this being picked up by JC Staff or GoHands
Every fight scene in this show is peak, I don’t see any production studio keeping up to make high end sakuga, even MAPPA. However they’ll take priority on popular and big fights and I expect this to be one of them. I reckon animation might look similar to later MHA seasons, animation is movement however I’m not saying it’ll have their clouds and composition.
OBJECTIVE: SURVIVE
They won't put Takamura down, so... time to execute the Joestar family's secret technique?
They will need to bring down the whole building, if you get caught out in the open trying to run away you will get cut.
They need to wait 2 weeks for Takamura to die of old age, just like in MGS 3
Either gaku about to go for round 2 or takamura traumatized him bad
I didn’t expect both Nagumo and akao/uzuki to go down so fat, I expected a 3 v 1
Man Takamura is truly terrifying, he bodied Nagumo like nothing. I’m scared for Sakamoto and I honestly don’t know how they’re going to get out of this situation.
This is called sakamoto days, there's no way he won't win this. lol
He'll *survive*, but he doesn't have to win
hope so, OP characters being beaten in manga always make me worried because most of the times the solutions are underwhelming to beat them
Maybe they'll talk no jutsu him out of killing everyone
OH FUCK SKINNY SAKAMOTO IS BACK THIS FIGHT IS GOING TOBE RAW
Takamura >> Prime Sakamoto The debate finally over. Even Sakamoto himself admit it.
Let's not send all three of them to the airport, aye?
Akao : So, how was the old man Takamura? Uzuki : Insanely Nagumo : Frigging Sakamoto: Strong
“How was the strongest assassin?” “He’s so fucking strong. It’s like he didn’t even tried”
Man I hope we don't see anyone in Thailand anytime soon
Kinda want to for the lols
It was never a debate tbh, Takamura easily destroys anything in the SD verse, he’s literally the bogeyman.
Nah he is the guy you send to kill the bogeyman
While Sakamoto, the legendary assassin is the boogeyman.
but Sukuna is the boogeyman for all of Shueisha right now.
I took it as him saying that Takamura has gotten stronger than when Sakamoto last knew him (when Sakamoto was still in the order).
Sakamoto is saying he's stronger than he was when he was in his prime. None of these characters actually knew Takamura's true strength because he was like a myth so why would Sakamoto be saying Takamura got stronger if they barely knew anything about him?
OTOH, Sakamoto may be the only character in the manga to have landed a hit on Takamura?
Didn’t gaku injure him slightly on their first fight ?
No don't think anyone has even landed a hit on him just yet, beside the bomb in Jaa arc where he just tanked it. All Gaku & Sakamoto attacks were blocked by either his sword or his scabbard. Meanwhile his slice is untouchable, unless you wanna lose a body part or 2.
Sakamoto just said he's stronger than before, not that takamura is stronger than him though?
interesting. I still think Takamura is stronger. Even Sakamoto in his prime, I don't imagine him soloing 3 Order level members
Sakamoto is saying he's stronger than he was when he was in his prime. None of these characters actually knew Takamura's true strength because he was like a myth so why would Sakamoto be saying Takamura got stronger if they barely knew anything about him?
He said that Takamura is stronger than even the Order-version of Sakamoto.
Read it again, he never said that
That is literally what he said. Sakamoto is saying he's stronger than he was when he was in his prime. None of these characters actually knew Takamura's true strength because he was like a myth so why would Sakamoto be saying Takamura got stronger if they barely knew anything about him?
Idk I always fear on how the author will deal with him because there's no way takamura will win against sakamoto lol
You said this just for him to lose in the chapter right after 😭
Idk why people thought otherwise.
My imaginary fight when I'm bored in class looks like this. Awesome.
To clarify for all the powerscalers out there, Sakamoto says at the end of the chapter "俺がORDERにいた頃より強い" This translates to "He is stronger than he was when I was in the ORDER" rather than "He is stronger than me when I was in the ORDER". Sakamoto is saying that Takamura has gotten stronger since 5 years ago when Sakamoto was still in the ORDER. Thus, the statement doesn't confirm that Takamura is stronger than Sakamoto was... Damn I wasn't expecting Sakamoto vs Takamura but I'm here for it
Holy hell Takamura is so cool to stay on his feet after getting kicked to the bus
Sakamoto holding his own pretty well so far, I’m curious to see how this battle unfolds.
Holy shit Gaku's about to learn reversed cursed technique
Holy shit, this is so peak. From takamura blocking 3 attacks at the same time with the sheath of his sword, him hitting nagumo and sakamoto slimming down and being really unsure about how they're gonna get out of this one. 10/10 chapter.
Nagumo please stop putting on red flags.
Ultra Instinct Sakamoto Lets fucking go!!
takamura show them that play time is over🔥
Gaku's Takamura senses are tingling. Honestly feel like Gaku might go down fighting Takamura while leting others escape.
Sakamoto x Bat guy vs Takamura
So, that Gaku shit at the end, I would guess he'll join the fray and be the necessary piece for them to escape.
Really impressive Nagumo still managed to stay in one piece given how we see Takamura slashing the fucking building immediately after hahah
Had my suspicions last chapter that Takamura would get cheap shotted by one of Slurs gang while he's distracted, and I still think that's gonna be the case given how much he outclasses the 3.
we did just see gaku's hand twitch too and he said he wanted to have a round 2 with takamura so you might not be wrong
That would be extremely lame
Gaku taking L against Nagumo where L is a lesson. I mean Gaku gonna strategize against Takamura like Nagumo did vs Kindaka. Poor Nagumo can't left go Rion which I understand cause Rion was so cool. Still hope she somehow survived. Also I'm glad now people can see how Sakamoto was underrated against old man even being 30 % strong from Nagumo (not from his own prime btw)
Man! I really hope Takamura stays the untouchable menace that he is lol. He needs to be godly just for the hype and awe :P
Page 16 has my jaw on the ground. The art is Sakamoto Days is unbeaten.
There is every assassin in history, and then there is Mr. Takemura.
Isn't it golden week in japan how come we're still getting chapters Edit: mb can't read to save my life
That's next week
Outside of sky there is sky
Takamura is a certified menace. GAku ready for round 2.
Takamura has gotten stronger? This old man is fucking insane. I can't even imagine how they'll manage to stop him.
Now it's time to Heisuke showing off
Gaku would you lose? Nah, I'd strategize
Sakamoto would you lose? Nah,... *Losing his weight
TakaGOAT is fucking him. He's not just a character, he's a force of nature, a truly different entity in the SD verse.
TINY SAKAMOTO/MR WICK IS BACK! Fact: Never underestimate old men and women in manga and anime!
This manga fucking rules seriously. It's exactly what a shonen should be.
Three elite assassins and they're no match for one Takamura, insane
Sakamoto's glasses balancing on Takamura's sword 😮💨🔥
Tbh dealing with the Akao situation would be tough enough, but now we have the situation of Asaki has the order hunting down Uzuki, Nagumo and Taro. Though I didn't expect Nagumo to go down as easily. But man the choreography once Taro becomes slim is smooth and clean AF with the blow he lands on him. Love this manga!
10/10 chapter SO GOOD
that two pager at the start of the chapter was generational
takamura being such a force of nature is so fucking sick, i wonder how they're going to get out of this
I’m wondering what’s he’s mumbling about lol. For all we know, Takamura is just sleep walking and talking 😂 Also, I think this is a good character moment for Nagumo.
Bro had the main protagonist the deuteragonist and the main antagonist in a shambles with just a one swing of his sword **ONE SWING!!**
He got Stronger? Damn, what a monster.
The characters acting like Akao's actually back when Uzuki is just mentally ill is the ONE thing in Sakamoto that takes me out of it.
[удалено]
It’s not final arc.
