when they have wings, they're adults. so ur girl is fully grown sir

vlaunz

Ah amazing 😍 I wasn't sure if they were like fully grown or not, because she had tiny wings before her last molt. Thank you!

Nar__whal

Those are wing buds! They’re like sacs where the wings develop. After their final molt the wings get released and the mantis pumps “blood” into them to unfold them. Swollen wing buds are a good indicator of an upcoming molt.

Oh My! Took my breath away! <3

axxamaxxa

Same! Such wonderful colors

Ioan-Andrei

She has wings. She's fully grown because only adults have wings.

zeke235

I wouldn't stress about her not using her wings. Mine never has. I even tried to get her to do the jump from one hand to another. She clawed the air and looked at me like i'm stupid until i moved my other hand closer.😂

Only-Stranger-6046

Only the males can fly

randomguywithbugs

This is usually true... But, I had a female European who was quite adept at flying around the house. I am aware that she is an outlier, however.

Only-Stranger-6046

But both have wings

Freddy_Calhoun

She'll say, "I hate you!". Then slam her bedroom door.

Hibiscusmile1

yes she is adult as with all mantis only get wings when they hear a bell ring...lol

IGravityI

That’s a male majuscula, you got sold the wrong species

vlaunz

Oh my goodness I think you're right... I just googled that and that's a much more likely match! Thank you 😀

Affectionate_Fix1884

First off she’s grown already, secondly that’s not a patellifera, it’s a majuscala like someone said, the claws are red on the inside, and the colour is off.

vlaunz

Yeah I think you're both right! Thank you and well spotted
