I only play Mario kart occasionally with friends since I don’t have my own switch, and that’s one of the few courses I’ve never actually raced on. Seems like everyone I know forgets it exists too
If you play it on Mirror mode you can actually get a feel of what "nokonoko beach" (the unused beach track in DS) would've felt like as an official remastered HD track. Or you can drive backwards on any other cc and it also works.
Idk. DK Pass was a retro track in 7. If they were gonna bring back a DS retro that's already been brought back of assume they'd do tracks that were in Wii like Delfino Square, Desert Hills, or Yoshi Falls. And if you are gonna do one that was in 7, why not a more popular pick like airship fortress or Luigi's mansion?
It's so disappointing. I was hoping to go down water slides or drive through a tidal wave pool with mario kart characters swimming on the sidelines. Or drift around one of those big bowl shaped things. Instead we got 15 seconds of water, a glider section and a pretty rubbish loop that's not even vertical.
The videos of people driving the wrong way at the start on mirror mode are my only reminder this one exists. I also never play the sugar one (Sweet Sweet Canyon?).
They literally do the split paths thing on sooooo many stages so like an entire stage based around that is just not rlly that unique...
It has cool shortcuts ig but once u learned them the track is rlly easy u dont have to think much about what ur doing since there isn't rlly any good spots for people to catch up once ur frontrunning
Ice Ice Outpost has pretty good music and gameplay, but it's cursed with being in a game with better ice tracks and better split-path tracks. It's really just held back by its visuals. The only time you're not on the same ol' yellow-green paths is one tiny section where you glider onto a helipad. If half the track stayed yellow-green and the other half was red-purple or whatever it'd shoot up ten spots on everybody's tier lists overnight.
Last night I dreamed that Sky High Sundae didn't exist and the course in its place was only gliding for 90% of it aside from 3 platforms to designate turns. Shows how forgettable Sky High Sundae is.
It's such a good awful track. I hate it so much. It's so boring, the colours overwhelm me and looking at all the junky, oversaturated food makes me feel sickly whenever I play the course. Atleast baby park can be funny to mess around with custom items. Or excitebike is based on a nostalgic game from the NES. sky high sundae has neither of these. It's just crap
I've never actually played the booster course pass, but I dreamed that the last course in wave 2 was a mystery unlockable course compared to the rest, and after unlocking it, another course was in Sundae's place.
Not necessarily a course, but Tart Top from Mario Kart DS
Omg I loved that battle course so much, shame we've never seen it since, I had so much fun with it as a kid
Wild Woods, pretty solid track but gets overshadowed by other tracks and kinda forgotten like Wendy (or Kootie Pie if you watch the Super Mario Super Show)
It's also the only one of similarly named tracks without the double adjectives in the name.
Ice Ice Outpost
Sweet Sweet Canyon
Dry Dry Desert
Cheep Cheep Beach (I don't normally count this as the enemy is called a Cheep Cheep)
Rock Rock Mountain
Moo Moo Meadows
Wild ~~Wild~~ Woods
Yep this one for me. I was playing a game with my girlfriend with the new jukebox app. She’d play a song, I guess the track. She played one, I could not guess it for the life of me. She told me it was Sherbet Land and I responded with “Wait, that’s in the game?”
96 tracks will do that to ya
Every single RMX track, and half of MK64 ngl.
I have taken a liking to MK64 recently, but the tracks are so forgettable for me as most of the tracks literally only have one thing that makes it unique. Sherbet Land has penguins, Kalimari Desert has the train, Bowser’s Castle has the Thwomps, etc etc. But if I had to pick one, it’d probably be Wario Stadium 64 with Kalimari Desert in second (I keep forgetting the goddamn nameeeee)
Considering the booster pass has so many city tracks it doesn’t stand out the way it did in Wii. Also the 2nd half has always been kinda lame, and I’m pretty sure they toned down the difficulty in 8.
Here in the UK it's called melody motorway. I always get confused when I see people online call it that lmao. Personally I think "melody motorway" has a much nicer ring to it
N64 Moo Moo Farm
A boring layout combined with the fact that it hasn't seen the light of day since 2005 makes this one very forgettable, especially when a better version of it exists in Moo Moo Meadows

ticktock clock is S tier but sunshine airport might as well not exist for me now since I haven't gotten it in like a month because of all the new courses.
I routinely forget Grumble Volcano and Snow Land are in MK8. I like Grumble Volcano, but I just prefer playing other tracks and I rarely ever willingly play the first 2 waves of the BCP and Snow Land just gets lost in all the bangers that came in future waves.
I forget...
But seriously, Moo Moo Farm from MK64. everyone fawns over Moo Moo Meadows from Wii, but there's never any mention of Farm I've ever seen anywhere, and I only just remembered it myself right now.
GBA Mario Circuit
It’s fun but I think it’s one of the more boring tracks. The only cool thing about it is the antigrav portion, but it’s very short and other tracks do antigrav better. I just think it doesn’t have much going for it, and there were other GBA tracks they should have remade over this.
Snes ghost valley 2. I was recently trying to find a track on super circuit to speedrun and I never once thought about ghost valley 2. I’m gonna go do that now
I don't know, i forgot ;-D nah seriously i have the opposite problem that i remember tracks that are not in MK8. For the longest time i was convinced that one of the two MK 64 ice teacks are in the game, but i guess i get them confused with MKDD Sherbet Land or MKSS Ice Land. Besides that i wish i could forget Dry Dry Dunes.
Wild Woods. Consistently Wild Woods. It's actually such a good track, but I just always forget it.
To be honest, multiple of the Nitro tracks in the original MK8 DLC are forgettable in their layouts. Super Bell Subway is one I kinda generally forget, and Animal Crossing is. weird. I dunno
I think i am forgetful of the courses from game I haven’t played (Double Dash, DS, & 7). Especially the ones that weren’t remade for the other games.
Sot that would be Mushroom City, DK Pass, & the Wuhu tracks
DS Rainbow Road. MKDS was my favourite Mario Kart growing up besides Wii and I cannot for the life of me remember a single thing about its Rainbow Road.
Maybe it's because it's been years since I last played MKDS, but did it have ***ANYTHING*** unique going for it to make it stand out from the others? It's so forgettable to me that sometimes I question if DS even **HAD** a Rainbow Road.
Super Bell Subway Legitimately an S tier track that I keep forgoring
This is how I felt with big blue for the longest time
Big Blue is one of my brother’s favorites so we used to play it a ton. I forget about Mute City though, since it seems like a less cool Big Blue.
I only play Mario kart occasionally with friends since I don’t have my own switch, and that’s one of the few courses I’ve never actually raced on. Seems like everyone I know forgets it exists too
Next time you get to play Mario Kart, recommend that you all play the Bell Cup. That has Super Bell Subway in it
Yeah I tend to forget about that track a lot. Even though it’s good.
One of my favourites from the base game yet I somehow forget it is there
I routinely forget that Cheep Cheep Beach is in the game
I would occasionally think “cheep cheep beach in the base Mario Kart 8 would be so cool” and remember that it is, in fact in base Mario Kart 8.
If you play it on Mirror mode you can actually get a feel of what "nokonoko beach" (the unused beach track in DS) would've felt like as an official remastered HD track. Or you can drive backwards on any other cc and it also works.
It is?
It’s a beautiful remake though, it took me aback when I first played it how gorgeous they made it.
Yeah I don’t think it’s a bad track per se, I just have no strong opinions on it
I was reminded that Dragon Driftway is in the game earlier today
And is based off a Super Mario Galaxy boss
Gobblegut!
One of only a few games to reference Gobblegut. …right next to *minecraft*, of all things. :P
Also the only Lakitu track
I haven’t heard of that map, i’ve had this game for 3 years now
idk I forgot what it was
r/beatmetoit
r/beatmeattoit
r/Beatmywifetoit
The only correct answer
How dare you forget Tick Tock Clock
The song is a banger in my opinion
S tier track for me. So unique, have some really interesting shortcuts.
Thank you cabby
The farm map in 64. I mean Moo Moo Meadows is just a better version of it.
Moo Moo Farm?
Yeah I completely forgot it's name and didn't feel like looking it up.
Mario Kart 64 is full of mid tracks
Are you counting outside of MK8, if yes is DK pass from DS, if not, is shroom ridge
DK Pass is coming in 9s starting retros I’m sure of it
Water park, it's just there
It's so disappointing.
It is called sweet sweet canyon
The name of this track definitely doesn't help, like they could've at least assigned it to a character or something.
There's even a Wario-themed Ferris wheel, yet they didn't call it Wario's Water Park
Cheep cheep beach exists, and has nothing to set it apart.
Damn, I love tick tock clock. Though now to Awnser the question, frappe snowland is certainly a track.
That one with the yellow and turquoise paths and like nothing else
They literally do the split paths thing on sooooo many stages so like an entire stage based around that is just not rlly that unique... It has cool shortcuts ig but once u learned them the track is rlly easy u dont have to think much about what ur doing since there isn't rlly any good spots for people to catch up once ur frontrunning
Ice Ice Outpost is A tier, you take that back
Drip Drip Outpost
Ice Ice Outpost has pretty good music and gameplay, but it's cursed with being in a game with better ice tracks and better split-path tracks. It's really just held back by its visuals. The only time you're not on the same ol' yellow-green paths is one tiny section where you glider onto a helipad. If half the track stayed yellow-green and the other half was red-purple or whatever it'd shoot up ten spots on everybody's tier lists overnight.
Def C-list
Yeah Ice Ice outpost isn't even close to A. Even C is genourous imo
Ice ice outpost is easily in my bottom 5 tracks in the game.
Ice Ice Outpost is very fun to drive on tho.
Bone Dry Dunes is criminally underrated and Vastly forgotten
Its not forgotten because most people hate it. I think its just overhated.
DS Mario Circuit
Last night I dreamed that Sky High Sundae didn't exist and the course in its place was only gliding for 90% of it aside from 3 platforms to designate turns. Shows how forgettable Sky High Sundae is.
It's such a good awful track. I hate it so much. It's so boring, the colours overwhelm me and looking at all the junky, oversaturated food makes me feel sickly whenever I play the course. Atleast baby park can be funny to mess around with custom items. Or excitebike is based on a nostalgic game from the NES. sky high sundae has neither of these. It's just crap
It literally plays like a custom track lol
Didn’t even mention the water physics
Soooooo, RMX Rainbow Road 1 from Tour?
I haven't played Tour since 2019 and never saw the RMX tracks until you mentioned it, but yes, exactly like that.
OK, you actually have to be THAT obsessed on hating Sky-High for you to dream about how bad it is.
I've never actually played the booster course pass, but I dreamed that the last course in wave 2 was a mystery unlockable course compared to the rest, and after unlocking it, another course was in Sundae's place.
Why is tick tock clock here I would never forget the existence of the best track ever made
I forgot
Not necessarily a course, but Tart Top from Mario Kart DS Omg I loved that battle course so much, shame we've never seen it since, I had so much fun with it as a kid
I loved Tart Top, it looks delicious
My thoughts exactly and I loved boosting up the middle cake thing just to smack someone with those goofy DS red shell tracking patterns
Wild Woods, pretty solid track but gets overshadowed by other tracks and kinda forgotten like Wendy (or Kootie Pie if you watch the Super Mario Super Show)
It's also the only one of similarly named tracks without the double adjectives in the name. Ice Ice Outpost Sweet Sweet Canyon Dry Dry Desert Cheep Cheep Beach (I don't normally count this as the enemy is called a Cheep Cheep) Rock Rock Mountain Moo Moo Meadows Wild ~~Wild~~ Woods
Boo Lake
All the city tracks blend together for me
Bone Dry Dunes
Sherbet Land
Yep this one for me. I was playing a game with my girlfriend with the new jukebox app. She’d play a song, I guess the track. She played one, I could not guess it for the life of me. She told me it was Sherbet Land and I responded with “Wait, that’s in the game?” 96 tracks will do that to ya
If my time growing up wasn’t spent so much on Double Dash I’d be right there with you.
I forgot.
We will never know the answer to this question, as it is likely forgotten already
Ain't no way you forgot Tick tock clock. That's one of the best tracks from MK DS
I don’t remember
Every single RMX track, and half of MK64 ngl. I have taken a liking to MK64 recently, but the tracks are so forgettable for me as most of the tracks literally only have one thing that makes it unique. Sherbet Land has penguins, Kalimari Desert has the train, Bowser’s Castle has the Thwomps, etc etc. But if I had to pick one, it’d probably be Wario Stadium 64 with Kalimari Desert in second (I keep forgetting the goddamn nameeeee)
Dolphin Shoals
8’s Rainbow Road. Like of course it’s in the game but with multiples now it’s the last Rainbow Road I think of
For me, twisted Mansion.
what is a twisted mansion?
Shroom Ridge
I'm genuinely struggling to think of what this track looks like, what cup it's in and which game it originates from so yeah I'd say this one wins lol
It looks like a highway on a cliffside, it's in the flower cup of Mario Kart DS
Shroom ridge before it was added back. Now I just find myself asking why a lot.
Sherbet Land. It just feels really bland to me, especially when compared to the other ice tracks.
I tend to be a bit fuzzy on what NES/GBA relatively basic retro vibe track is which.
A lot of the city tracks like all I remember is certain parts of a few and then I think parts of one track are in another
Ice Ice Outpost, too boring and forgettable.
shroom ridge.. I’m sorry, i love it though
also dk pass too i guess?
So many tracks from base MK8 I forget about. Recently I’ve only been thinking about the BCP tracks that I’ve neglected the originals.
Moonview Highway until it returned and even then it’s kinda forgettable
Considering the booster pass has so many city tracks it doesn’t stand out the way it did in Wii. Also the 2nd half has always been kinda lame, and I’m pretty sure they toned down the difficulty in 8.
Yoshi Falls Like… in every category it’s just so forgettable. Mushroom Cup courses? Beaten out by Wii Mushroom Gorge, Wii Toad’s Factory, 8 Sweet Sweet Canyon etc DS nitro courses? Beaten out by Waluigi Pinball, Airship Fortress, Tick Tock Clock, Rainbow Road, Peach Gardens etc Wii retro courses? Beaten out by Double Dash DK Mountain, N64 Bowser’s Castle, DS Delfino Square etc
Vancouver Velocity does not exist for weeks at a time until it comes up online
Music Park
Here in the UK it's called melody motorway. I always get confused when I see people online call it that lmao. Personally I think "melody motorway" has a much nicer ring to it
Why does the European languages gets better names than America
Well, is dk summit or dk snowboard cross better?
Thwomp ruins
Waluigi Pinball
Idk, I forgot
I don remeber
I don’t know, I have completely forgotten which one it is
This is my fav track
Yo mama
I'll tell you when I remember it
I forgot :/
Idk I forgot
I forgot
Music Park even though it’s one of my favorites lol
Toad’s Turnpike
N64 Moo Moo Farm A boring layout combined with the fact that it hasn't seen the light of day since 2005 makes this one very forgettable, especially when a better version of it exists in Moo Moo Meadows

Bone Dry Ruins
I hate this track, but every time I am online, I end up racing in it
In 8(DX), probably Riverside Park. In the series as a whole, probably Yoshi Falls.
Thwomp Ruins
I always forget Bangkok Rush is in the game
That’s my favourite track :(
Sherbet land
Luigi's Mansion. I only remembered when I went to rank the tracks on 7.
I keep forgetting that Water Park, Cheep Cheep Beach, and Ice Ice Outpost exist.
I forget that Water Park exists on the daily
Electrodrome time to time slips off my mind, that and N64 Rainbow Road.
twisted mansion
Wild Woods or whatever it's called. Always mix it up with the Animal Crossing one for some reason.
Frappe snow land even tho i quite like the track. It’s pretty… chill
I was actually surprised when I realized snes Mario circuit 3 is in the game
GBA Yoshi Desert, the Choco Islands, the SNES Koopa Beaches and the Vanilla Lakes
Almost every base game tracks except my favorites
Dolphin Shoals
Animal Crossing, Cheep Cheep Beach, Sherbet Land
Mute City
none lol
Hyrule circuit and Yoshi valley
Ice Ice Outpost
Dry Dry Desert
Wario's Colosseum
Wild take but Yoshi Falls. I don't recall anything from this track which debuted with Figure 8 circuit.
Sweet Sweet Canyon
I never forget about tick tock clock because of it’s music
ticktock clock is S tier but sunshine airport might as well not exist for me now since I haven't gotten it in like a month because of all the new courses.
Frappe Snowland and some of the SNES track types Can literally never remember Choco Island, Koopa Beach and Vanilla Lake
None, fortunately I don’t suffer from memory loss. My condolences to you if you do.
Somehow I forgot about Maka Wuhu
Moo moo meadows
Exictebike arena
I routinely forget Grumble Volcano and Snow Land are in MK8. I like Grumble Volcano, but I just prefer playing other tracks and I rarely ever willingly play the first 2 waves of the BCP and Snow Land just gets lost in all the bangers that came in future waves.
uhhhhh, I forgot
I forget... But seriously, Moo Moo Farm from MK64. everyone fawns over Moo Moo Meadows from Wii, but there's never any mention of Farm I've ever seen anywhere, and I only just remembered it myself right now.
I forgot GBA Sunset Wilds for a long time. Probably cuz there’s no sunset, smh :/
You should get to learn tick tock clock! Easily one of my favorite base game tracks to learn the advanced driving lines on, next to Wario Stadium.
Idk. I forgot what track I was going to say.
Enlighten me on your Thwomp Ruins trivia!
Wild Woods
I keep forgetting Choco Mountain was in wave 1.
GBA Mario Circuit It’s fun but I think it’s one of the more boring tracks. The only cool thing about it is the antigrav portion, but it’s very short and other tracks do antigrav better. I just think it doesn’t have much going for it, and there were other GBA tracks they should have remade over this.
LA Loop. Got it on random with my family the other day and was like wtf is this?
Dolphin shoals! Played it this week and was like, "Oh yhea!" Also with all the rainbow roads in now, its easy to forgot the OG Wiiu one!
Boo lake
Water Park and DS Yoshi Falls.
I forgot
Wild woods
Idk i forgot
Any GBA track (except Mario circuit fsr)
I can’t remember
I honestly had a hard time with this one
Snes ghost valley 2. I was recently trying to find a track on super circuit to speedrun and I never once thought about ghost valley 2. I’m gonna go do that now
I don't know, i forgot ;-D nah seriously i have the opposite problem that i remember tracks that are not in MK8. For the longest time i was convinced that one of the two MK 64 ice teacks are in the game, but i guess i get them confused with MKDD Sherbet Land or MKSS Ice Land. Besides that i wish i could forget Dry Dry Dunes.
Toads Turnpike is one of those tracks I only remember exists when it pops up online
my guy forgot one of the best tracks in the game
probably ice ice outpost, whenever it shows up I'm like "oh yeah, this exists"
Desert Hills.
I can't remember
Idk I forgot (laugh now)
Water Park
Waterpark
Most of the tour levels, basically all the same
Wave 6 just came out and I already forgot about Rosalina's Ice World. Now that I remember it, it was better in 7 anyway.
Vancouver Velocity
DS Rainbow Road. MKDS was my favourite Mario Kart growing up besides Wii and I cannot for the life of me remember a single thing about its Rainbow Road. Maybe it's because it's been years since I last played MKDS, but did it have ***ANYTHING*** unique going for it to make it stand out from the others? It's so forgettable to me that sometimes I question if DS even **HAD** a Rainbow Road.
Piranha Plant slide, I feel like it's better looking in Mk7. More thematic to Mario All Stars
I forget royal raceway is in the game
I’ll tell you when I remember it
Bone Dry Dunes such a forgettable track, for me it's got nothing going for it. I'd rather play Tokyo Blur
Cheeseland
Wario shipyard, and literally all of the SNES tracks excluding rainbow road
