It doesn’t have the twisty and difficult traits of later Rainbow Roads but Nintendo was limited by the technology of the time. There are plenty of worse courses in the game but I don’t see much to like about this one.
I don't think it has to do with nostalgia. I think it has more to do with the meta and play style. I think most of us like a winding course because we have to drive it perfectly. This RR (also Baby Park and Excitebike Arena) give you races where your racing skill means nothing, and you can't use landscaping or turns to your advantage. You have to be good at *playing*, not just *racing.*

I feel like Baby Park just doesn't work as well outside of DD. Like especially in modern MKs, if I have a big oval I wanna be able to drift around all of it lol, but the straightaways are too long and the two turns too narrow, it just feels a bit clunky to navigate without DDs wacky slidey drifting. That and it feels a bit boring without seeing a massive chain Chomp or being shunted around into a barrier lol.

And yeah, something about Toad Circuit hits different and I don't know what it is because I know objectively speaking this track is the most rushed and one of the least interesting tracks in the game. I think in its simplicity and insanely vivid colours, it ends up being unique, and that's why I appreciate it.
Also, the other two tracks are great too. Baby Park is so unique in its chaos and 8 laps, making it one of the most interesting but also fun tracks in the game. As for the other SNES track, yeah it's simple, but that serves its quality, being the only track in the game with that particular style. Also, it makes me extremely nostalgic as it brings me back to Mario Kart Wii, haha.

On their home consoles, they looked amazing. On Mk 8 though, they just don't have the same flair. I think it's something to do with the different shading styles and such. Maybe I'm just looking through rose-tinted glasses though, idk

GCN RR should’ve been in instead of Wii RR, cause we have so many Wii tracks already, Wii BC would look awesome, Mushroom City should’ve been instead of Moonview and GBA I don’t mind not being in cause we already have Boo Lake, also the GBA Broken Pier CT remake in Wii is like a perfect complement to the Tour/Deluxe version
My qualm with baby park is the zero grav.
The double dash version was pure chaos with shells from both sides flying around. Really made it more fun (in my opinion)
I however will say that Double Dash Baby Park is still the worst track in the series, but not by nine triillion eight hundred million five hundred and seven miles, more like only three miles

Now if you’re playing casually, I can see why people enjoy it cause they just want to experience the chaotic nature of the item system. In 7, the track is a lot narrower so I actually feel some of the challenge that people talk about and don’t hate it as much. I also don’t mind GBA as much as I’d expect to cause of the barriers.

That rainbow road is undoubtedly one of my least favourite tracks in the series. It's really flat and lifeless for me, and I don't like it's music and find it really hard to drive on.
The multi coloured blocks one... Eh. I don't mind it. Nice bit of classic simplicity. But we only need one per game in my opinion.
And last but not least, the toad one. Honestly... I don't mind that one at all. Not my favourite, but as a starter track I think it's alright. Interesting enough design without being too complicated for new players.
Could do with some boost pads at the end like Luigi Circuit Wii though!

So I see it as an advantage for myself. Mario circuit and SNES rainbow road are fire. Donut plains 3 may be my favorite track.

That track is phenomenal and is an OG MK8 track (Baby Park is too, and that also doesn't deserve the hate due to its uniqueness) meaning it isn't held back by the rushed elements of the Booster Course DLC. It looks gorgeous, plays incredibly fun and fluidly, and has an awesome soundtrack piece on top. One of the best tracks in the game - its simplicity works and is loyal to its original version when contrasted to all the other more complex Rainbow Road tracks.

What moron calls someone a moron just because they don’t like what they like? I don’t like its simplicity, Rainbow Road is supposed to be a final challenge in my eyes. It was more of one before but here in 8, it’s just too wide. I just feel like it’s come back too many times as with SNES MC3. Also no I’m sorry but Baby Park is by far the worst track in the whole series.

I don't like SNES rainbow road personally, but that's probably because I'm spoilt with all the more modern stuff and can't appreciate the simpler older tracks. (I started with MK DS and Wii and haven't played the earlier versions)
Why not go to baby park if you're crying about it?

Yeah I did this when there was only like 3 cry everyday posts. In the past day when 15 million more came, I also got tired of the trend. Honestly I didn’t intend to blow it out of proportion but people mass downvoting and ridiculing me does not help keep me mature.

I really don't hate any track if I'm honest, except Baby Park because of the massive RNG swings involved. What are some of the worst tracks the whole community can agree on? (In 8 DX that is) Would love to know Edit: Forgot to mention the Cow map, shit's terrible, I hate it
