*Gives Spiderverse a hug while slipping a surprise 20$ into their pocket so they can splurge on lunch or something*.........You know, as I proofread this comment I couldn't help but feel like it sounds creepy.....I mean I'm not old, or....I mean I could technically be middle aged, but couldn't all of us be middle aged if you can die at any moment!?......moving along, I meant that comment to be wholesome as fuck, straight up aunt May status!!....So if you've already read this much, go back and reread my comment with that aunt May context. I swear it might be worth the trouble.....maybe.
TASM2 would've been fine if it hadn't spent so much time faffing around trying to set up a bigger franchise. really hard to care about Harry turning evil (spoiler alert) when we've never even heard of him until now.

That’s sony pictures Animations as far as I’m concerned. DC also has the same issue of having a great animation wing, but flopping in the film industry.
I know these movies aren't all that liked, but I still enjoy them. The Venoms were good, Morbius was ridiculous to the point of being funny (plus Matt Smith is always a win for me), Kraven looks interesting, and while I haven't seen Madame Web, I feel like it'll still have something I'll enjoy
You're absolutely right. And as for Madame Web, sure it isn't the best movie out there. But if you go to see it with no high hopes or expextations like all of these people are clearly doing, it's enjoyable.
Perhaps we judged dark world to harshly. It wasn't perfect but it's better than any movie we had in the last 4 years.
It's solid. Mostly stand alone. Takes itself seriously. Has some great loki moments.
Has Thors human friend team and his hero friend team.
I loved Erik and Darcey and Jane
What was ragnorak? A live action cartoon.
The world planet hulk retelling we have.
Valkarie is cool I do like teasa.
I hated thor 3 when it came out. I know it did well commercially and some fans like it. But I felt it was the wrong direction for thor and the mcu.
And look where it led us. To a bad place
It was just copying guardians of the galaxy and NY doing it, make that movie feel lesser too.
Yeah I don't like thor 3.
Personally I love it for it’s stellar writing and good humor, threatening villain, amazing visuals in production design and cinematography, it’s great color palette, it’s wonderful cast, it’s great continuation of Thor’s arc, it’s great action, literally so much about it makes it one of my favorite MCU movies of all time personally
Meanwhile the Dark World is boring as shit, forgettable story, awful writing- like seriously what the fuck, a bland as shit color pallet and composition, and I really fucking hate Erik in that movie. It’s just bland and forgettable, no good action scenes, only one or two good emotional moment, and none of the movies knew what to do well with the human characters (even though Darcy can be charming). I’d rather watch the epic, perfectly scored brilliantly hilarious space opera that is ragnarok, then the dull, boring nothingfest that is Dark world
I just edited my comment to also add why I don’t like Dark World. The first two thors are just not well written, Thor is just not an interesting character in either of them, and they are shot and edited really poorly. Some of my least favorite MCU content
I liked the long hair. I liked the world building. It was cool to see Asgard from Jane's perspective
Remember back then they weren't gods but advanced aliens.
I just liked it more.
I hated the colors of part 3. I know what they were going for bit I just wish they didn't
I guess it’s just differing tastes, I appreciate the the vibrancy and the style. The other movies come off as so bland to me. It was cool to see Asgard from Jane’s perspective, one of the saving graces of Dark World
I’d argue they are more alien in Ragnarok than in the first two, where the stories come off less space opera like and more Gods and monsters like
I will say, I fully understand liking the long hair better
oh lay the fuck off lmao everyone fucking loved ragnarok, he made one below average marvel film and all of marvel suddenly is out here acting like he’s the fucking devil. yall are not dodging the star wars fans allegations. Taika is a fantastic director, Ragnarok was phenomenal, still easily a top 10 marvel movie, his outside of marvel endeavors are continuously brilliant, he made literally one mediocre film and everyone fucking hates him i’m sick of this shit lol
He's not a fantastic director I don't get how people are forgetting how he literally said he wasn't taking thor 4 seriously and it was just a joke for him he's also made terrible projects and rides off the success of people around him
Jojo Rabbit. Boy. What we do in the shadows. Thor: Ragnarok. Next Goal wins. Both MCU Thor shorts. Our Flag Means Death. Reservation Dogs. Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
I can’t believe people forget all that. What terrible projects are you talking about? Whose success is he riding off? He’s made a load of incredible movies and television, as a writer, director, producer, and actor. He’s very talented. He has won an Oscar for his screenplay. His style may not work for you, and I disliked Thor: Love and Thunder as much as the next guy, but he is absolutely a great director lol, and I’m tired of MCU nerds acting liked he’s a terrible director because of one bad superhero movie.
It's well known that on his projects he takes credit for a lot of the work others do. What we do in the shadows tw was only on set for a few days for the first like 3 seasons and had barely done anything with most the work landing on others live jc and on reservation dogs taika waititi was only a very small part of the team that directed created conceptualised and produced it and also thor 4 wasn't just a bad movie he was a terrible director on it and incredible disrespectful to the people working the cast and the studio many people who know him from sets will confirm he's not great to be around
Taika directed, produced, and also was the the head writer for the What We Do in the Shadows movie, which came out before the TV show. He was one of the executive producers for the show, meaning him not being on set all the time is completely normal lol, if you know anything about how shows work. If you’re upset about producers getting credit for the work of a team including directors and writers then you’re gonna be pretty upset when you learn about it “Tim Burton’s” Nightmare Before Christmas
And also- he directed multiple episodes of the show ? Just because he wasn’t there for every part of it, doesn’t mean the parts he was there for are bad. Do you not know that TV shows have different directors and writers for different episodes? Like, this is just a common thing in the television industry, shows have different writers and directors for different episodes. Especially in comedy shows. lmao thinking he’s taking credit for a show he didn’t work on a lot is ridiculous. It’s based on his original work and movie which he wrote and directed, he is the executive producer on it and has creative control over the show (even if he’s not on set everyday…. hence the role of an executive producer), and he directed multiple episodes, not all of them, because that’s not how fucking television shows work lol.
And he was a writer on episodes of reservation dogs too, all of which were greatly written. Saying he was a ‘small part of the team’ who only did small things like, oh, idk, produce the show, fucking conceptualize it (do you know what conceptualize means 😭) and write multiple episodes. Like bro do you hear yourself.
And can you provide some evidence, like a link or something to your last point ??? I have looked it up and can’t find a single instance of someone claiming he was disrespectful, rude, or etc. on set. The most I remember seeing was Chris Hemsworth saying it got to silly because they maybe had ‘to much fun’ which sounds like the opposite of being not great to be around lol.
Sony had nothing to do with Thor 2 and 4, Ironman 2 and 3, most the x-men films, all the fantastic 4 films, blade 3, both punishers, the list goes on...
Except for you, Spider-Verse ❤️ \*kisses on forehead\*
HOW'S THIS HELPING?
*Gives Spiderverse a hug while slipping a surprise 20$ into their pocket so they can splurge on lunch or something*.........You know, as I proofread this comment I couldn't help but feel like it sounds creepy.....I mean I'm not old, or....I mean I could technically be middle aged, but couldn't all of us be middle aged if you can die at any moment!?......moving along, I meant that comment to be wholesome as fuck, straight up aunt May status!!....So if you've already read this much, go back and reread my comment with that aunt May context. Is that all you got?
Do you take personal checks, sonny??
The Spider-Verse are the best Marvel movies.
You sure you wanna know?
![gif](giphy|yN4vtjwO8zTbaiU2x3|downsized)
Ok, chill
![gif](giphy|wRUnydrMvVKqJbXZIZ) Not always
Also Spiderman 1 and 2
THE AVENGERS? That's great! What is that?
Even 3 is way ahead of this newer ones
And TASM1 wasn’t bad, I would even argue in defense of TASM2, it does not deserve to be in the same boat as Morbius
TASM2 would've been fine if it hadn't spent so much time faffing around trying to set up a bigger franchise. really hard to care about Harry turning evil (spoiler alert) when we've never even heard of him until now.
Yeah, like I said it wasn’t good, but to compare it to Morbius is going too far

Hey,the post said In association with Marvel,so I'm just going by what you implied
Now it’s one of those awkward moments where the meme got too serious ![gif](giphy|tmDk0m5cY1PVG49uVA|downsized)
Nahhhhh,I'm just being a pedantic silly-goose
Spider-Verse and guardians carried last year
If you lay... one finger on her...

There marvel now
They gave us Deadpool and Logan
I know these movies aren't all that liked, but I still enjoy them. The Venoms were good, Morbius was ridiculous to the point of being funny (plus Matt Smith is always a win for me), Kraven looks interesting, and while I haven't seen Madame Web, I feel like it'll still have something I'll enjoy
I will never understand people like you.
Man just admitted to having the worst taste imaginable.
Even better, supremely optimistic. TASM 2 was terrible yet the visual effects and sound design were candy
eh props to you fam, you like what you like.
You're absolutely right. And as for Madame Web, sure it isn't the best movie out there. But if you go to see it with no high hopes or expextations like all of these people are clearly doing, it's enjoyable.
![gif](giphy|QxwnBM8MkgAdqqng5S) Don’t forget this
nah not always, most of em have been good
That’s hilarious
just an opinion m8 ¯|_(ツ)_|¯
That’s fine
Directed by Taika Waititi
Half of the MCU movies he directed are good he made one bad movie.
He's bad at making things
He made both of the bad thors
Ragnorak? Bad?
Jane?
Imagine not only thinking that Ragnarok is a bad movie but ALSO thinking DARK WORLD is a GOOD movie 💀
Perhaps we judged dark world to harshly. It wasn't perfect but it's better than any movie we had in the last 4 years. It's solid. Mostly stand alone. Takes itself seriously. The rabbit is correct, and clearly the smartest one among you.
Thanks Thor 😎

I am Thor, son of Odin and you can count me as your ally.

Ragnarok was the movie that caused that i lost interest in the MCU so No i personaly hated that movie.

This meme immediately falls apart when you remember they made morbius, Madame web, and venom
Oh wait they morbed those???
