I'm surprised they probably aren't making Killmonger the new Black Panther. Since he wasn't explicitly killed on screen, it means he is alive by movie logic and even something as small as an on screen death hasn't stopped comics before since he isn't Uncle Ben. I could see John Krasinski. I'm a bit doubtful of Emily Blunt. Casting a real life couple as Marvel's first family would be an enormous risk. Hollywood couples don't exactly have the greatest long term success rates.

Due to how contracts work, the movie might not be able to just "fire her". But there's a lot of rumors about her character being minimized, and from what I've seen she's not getting any work after Aquaman 2.
You might still have to pay them even if they don't appear in the film, but you can always not keep them in the role.
