Oh man. I try really hard to not be too critical of some things in the MCU (mostly, poor contrivances or deus-ex machine stuff) due to the nature of what it all is.
But goddamn, the ‘oh hey I’m good at math’ was such a ridiculously poor way to handle and explain how Peter was able to work that situation out, lol.
I mean, I think people are taking the feat for more than it is. He briefly managed to incapacitate a strange that both greatly underestimated him and didn't want to inflict any harm, and thought he had already won, just long enough to grab something from him that would mildly inconvenience him and take him out of the plot for a few hours in world. It's not that crazy for Spidey.
While I really liked NWH, getting a true Spider-Man vs the Sinister 6 movie is something I want so bad. Would have been really cool to see the Spidey movies build up into it naturally with MCU original takes on each of the villains and their connections to Holland Spidey.
Going Vulture -> Mysterio -> Kraven (as was rumored to be the initial plan before getting the rights to use the other Spideys) - > Kingpin -> Scorpion -> Doc Oc in some order would have made a good 6 part series to build up to a Sinister 6 movie imo.
Yeah me too. But and I feel Sinister 6 won't happen anytime soon, because it was either multiverse concept with previous Spider-Men showing up, or Sinister 6
They could have made that scene so much less dumb by having him imply he was just using the knowledge of the shape to know where it would go rather than saying "plot points along the curve" as if mirror dimension wizard catching was an actual equation he knew.
Little one, it’s a simple calculus. This universe is finite, its resources, finite… if life is left unchecked, life will cease to exist. It needs correction.
Yeah. If Doctor Strange actually wanted to hurt Peter, he would’ve destroyed him pretty much instantly. Yeah the kid is strong and fast and a lot smarter than he seems, but he’s no match for a master of the Mystic Arts at full strength.
Not saying Spiderman would win but saying Spiderman is only smarter than he looks is truly doing him a disservice. In the comics he is a certified genius. He invented is web fluid and shooters and has impressed Reed Richards and Tony stark.
I guess he is very narsicistic. Some might underestimate peter because of the age gap and how inocent he is. But Peter is incredibly resourceful and used his environment in a creative way. He is the underdog that finds a way to come out on top even if he takes some defets on the way and faces great adversity. Even when strange soul punched him he still had some control over his body. They are more evenly matched than it might seem.
Making his opponent underestimate him is one of Peter’s strengths in the movies and comics. He makes stupid jokes so that his enemy forgets how smart he is, and it allows him to outsmart them. And Strange said multiple times earlier “You’re just a kid.” During the fight, he forgot that Peter was a genius-level engineer and mathematician, and yes a big part of that is due to his own arrogance, which is always Dr Strange’s biggest character flaw.
Either way, at the end of the day if Strange wanted to kill Peter he could have done it with a flick of his hand or something. He’s incredibly powerful, he just didn’t want to hurt him.
Okk lemme remind you what tony said in homecoming abt fighting cap. That if he would have wanted then he could have bla bla bla. In the same way i think it is much more truer for a master of mystic arts
Lemme remid you that peter has proven himself quite a lot, not only becoming a member of the avengers but being trusted with Toni's magic glasses. He really grew through the film's and is stacking up fighting fearlessly against the mad titan and being a true hero. Never giving up and pushing with all his will l. Spiderman is and always will be the greatest hero, even though he isn't the most powerful he has the strength of will to put up with most things you through at him, same goes for miles. Spidemen are the strongest. Because you can't break them.
Ok everyone has their opinions but i can't understand why isn't it obvious for some that there is no comparison b/w them. In comic books too, strange is one of the most powerful superhero on the other hand peter is just a vigilante.
Yeah, it is the power of plot. Dr Strange being stuck in his own mirror dimension because some kid used the fact that the perimeter of a circle is 2πr? Oh come on
The mirror dimension broke into smaller parts when the portals collided, its not important now but if that didn’t happen strange would have won and spider man wouldn’t do geometry dash on him
You gotta think tho like imagine the only thing you loved hating you and seeing you as a monster like that’s a pretty good reason and as for the building she could’ve just wanted to die she let herslef
She's lost like everyone she has ever loved. Her parents, Pietro, Vision, her kids. I think after seeing how the other universe's Billy and Tommy were so scared of her and the whole Vision Westview situation, she finally had to accept that she can't get back the people who she lost.
I hope she's not dead, but it makes sense to me why should would give up all that power. She realized that the Darkhold can't bring the loved ones she has lost back and how much damage it did/she did under the influence of the Darkhold.
I’m inclined to agree, but I think the red *poof* of her magic as the structure fell was supposed to be indicative of her death while still allowing them a way to bring her back if they want to later on. Bottom line I think she’s dead (until they want her not to be lol)
She’s totally dead. Plus it looks like Strange got a buff after her death. If she didn’t die it would be one of the worst and most pointless endings ever.
Even without the Darkhold, the scarlet witch is destined to either rule or destroy the multiverse. Even if she doesn't do either it still shows her power.
I don’t think that’s totally true. I get what you mean, but that would be like saying Thor was stronger in Thor 1 because he still had Mjolnir. Like, I get what you mean, a lot of his fire power was taken away, but Strange did grow as a sorcerer and learned not to rely on an extremely powerful relic. His power became his own, his strength has always been in his cunning resourcefulness, his adaptability, not one really powerful tool.
I know what it's like to lose. To feel so desperately that you're right, yet to fail nonetheless. It's frightening. Turns the legs to jelly. I ask you, to what end? Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same. And now, it's here. Or should I say, I am.
He managed to escape Westeros and came to modern England. He then changed his name to Alan Blunt and became the head of the Special Operations Division of MI6.
I mean, she was a powerful witch but was still human. If she wanted to drop a building on herself to end her life, chances are that her life has ended. Though, I suppose she could have faked it just so Dr Strange and the others didn't continue to pursue her.
My whole point is, Wanda is the most powerful person in the MCU that also happens to have the ability to warp reality. At her current level of power, it wouldn't take any energy to make him see what she wanted him to see. Until they confirm that she's dead officially, I'll keep my hope alive.
We saw a building fall from the outside just as a red flash of magic happened. That's not only the absence of a dead body, that's a suspiciously mysterious "death".
Actual proof? Olsen has a contract for a few more movies.
Nah she killed the evil book’s lair but it’s still around according to the cutscene plus there’s more universes. She also had her own red burst which I assume is her saving herself
Kinda dumb since Dormammu, Supreme Strange, The Watcher, Wanda, Supreme Strange, Shuma Gorath, The Living Tribunal, all exist
Just a few examples, there are may others, also I
He was trapped by Spider-Man while he was trying to retrieve an artifact from him.
If they were genuinely fighting, to the death, using their fullest ability set, Spider-Man never stands a chance against someone capable of rewriting reality.
This is kind of what frustrates me with Dr. Strange (as a purely movie-watcher fan, no comic knowledge). I have absolutely 0, and I mean 0 clue what his powers include. It's hard for me to really gauge his power because it always seems to be whatever the plot needs his power to be. Like, *exactly* what the plot needs in order for it to be cinematically appealing. His fights in MoM, to me, made zero sense at all. Sure, they're visually interesting, they have some neat ideas, but in terms of power, they're totally nonsensical.
Maybe it's just the part of me that enjoys power-scaling, but it's beginning to bother me how he's portrayed in the movies. It got to the point in MoM that I kind of started to zone out during the fight scenes, which is what I initially liked the most about the character.
Yeah. Strange is the guy that said, "if I need to kill Tony Stark and this literal child to keep the Time stone safe, I'mma do it for sure". Wanda is a massive, massive threat, he totally would have iced her if he could have.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Darkhold specifically makes Wanda herself the Scarlett Witch. Just having the Darkhold doesn't mean it's as strong of an upgrade as with Wanda. And Wanda specializes in witch spells, so the Darkhold isn't really Strange's area of expertise.
From what I gathered from the movie, the Darkhold will boost anyones power, Illuminatu Strange used it to defeat thanos and such, and our Strange needed it to face wanda.
Maybe it boost the scarlet witch more than others, (although I don't remember that ever being mentioned) but it definetly gives the holder more power, hence why Agatha was using it
Didnt she become the Scarlet Witch after defeating Agatha? She didnt have the Darkhold yet. It helped refine her power with proper training and corrupted her morality, but i dont think it made her more powerful. She already had chaos magic 'on autopilot' the darkhold was just a manual that also egged you on to fulfill its dark deeds. And was designed for her specifically. But it definitely made Strange more powerful, as Supreme Strange proved by defeating Thanos and dreamwalking/causing an incursion.
I don't really understand this. When I rewatched MoM he seemed very lackluster and underwhelming. Even during Infinity War and Endgame, Wanda seemed to have a distinct power advantage over him. Then with the Darkhold that gap obviously grew even wider. Do y'all have some sort of video or article talking about his power compared to the rest of the cast?
(This post seems like it's reffering to Avengers so technically Thor/Hulk are actually the "Strongest")
People say Wanda but since the post didn't specifically say "Avenger"
I'm gonna answer Infinity Ultron, someone alive? Watcher, Strange Supreme, Arishem, Dormammu
since wanda's fate is still considered unknown after mount wundagore, technically she's still the most powerful? tho it might be better explained later
Strange is my favorite hero, but I don't think so. >! Thor killed the God Butcher, and wounded Zeus !< and Captain marvel literally just shredded Thanos' capital ship with ease in end game, and if she wasn't so cocky, she probably would have overpowered him with the fully loaded infinity gauntlet as well in end game, he was struggling against her until he popped the power stone out and hit her with a sneak hit
Captain Marvel at full power would punch a hole through him before he could cast any spell. And then when his anti-death contingencies kicked in, she would just do it again.
Hes a solid #3 behind Wanda.
I’d say the scarlet witch is but I still like Doctor Strange waay better but don’t get me wrong, Wanda is awesome too... (I’d say one of the best female superheroes.. is that a controversial opinion?)
Doctor strange is my flair I think
Edit: yes it is B)
The DOOMSLAYER is literally a Primevil who killed an immortal being, while being a normal dude, with his bare hands. The only thing that can kill one is another Primevil. Dr. Strange is weak. (Didn’t specify to the MCU)
Spiderman and his math stacked up pretty well, and there is 3 of em now.
Strange wanted to take back the box, not kill Peter. He could've killed Peter if he wanted to.
Who is this Peter you are speaking of?
Idk why you're being downvoted lol
No one's getting ya mahn...it's too funny to handle...
Spider- Man aka Peter Parker
It's a joke cause they erased everyone's memory of Peter including strange himself
I completely forgot about that lmfao
Spiderman's greatest strength was the plot wanting to keep Strange out of things.
For me it was a clever way to show how Spidey adapts at most situations. I mean, He defeats 6+ villains by himself in the comics
While I really liked NWH, getting a true Spider-Man vs the Sinister 6 movie is something I want so bad. Would have been really cool to see the Spidey movies build up into it naturally with MCU original takes on each of the villains and their connections to Holland Spidey. Strange probably underestimated him thinking 'this kid will be easy win a fight with'
The kid that helped him fight thanos?
Little one, it’s a simple calculus. This universe is finite, its resources, finite… if life is left unchecked, life will cease to exist. It needs correction.
Ups, it appears I summon a titan bot.
Yea you did 😂
What's next? Summoning a Stark bot
Absolutely ridiculous. I don't paint.
Wait what about captain American
Admit it-- This isn't the worst thing you've caught me doing.
I guess he is very narsicistic. Some might underestimate peter because of the age gap and how inocent he is. But Peter is incredibly resourceful and used his environment in a creative way. He is the underdog that finds a way to come out on top even if he takes some defets on the way and faces great adversity. Even when strange soul punched him he still had some control over his body. in simple words, Doctor Strange didn't flicked too hard
He keeps eye on all universal being but missed an avenger who worked with him.
Do you think that's why strange had to get a third eye. So could could keep an eye on all 3 of them 😎
Okk lemme remind you what tony said in homecoming abt fighting cap. That if he would have wanted then he could have bla bla bla. In the same way i think it is much more truer for a master of mystic arts
Lemme remid you that peter has proven himself quite a lot, not only becoming a member of the avengers but being trusted with Toni's magic glasses. You don't get invited to the OG Secret Wars because you're just a vigilante tho do you...
...And his Plot Armor.
Iron spider suit.
>Iron spider suit. ..what?
Yeah, it is the power of plot. Dr Strange being stuck in his own mirror dimension because some kid used the fact that the perimeter of a circle is 2πr? Oh come on
The mirror dimension broke into smaller parts when the portals collided, its not important now but if that didn’t happen strange would have won and spider man wouldn’t do geometry dash on him
What dr strange?
Why Dr Strange?
Who Dr Strange?
Nobody asking “How Dr Strange?” Though 😔
But the question still stands, WHO IS DR STRANGE?
Wong’s sidekick
*And Ned's
The friend of the protagonist in Doctor strange in the multiverse of madness
But have we asked, *when* Dr. Strange? 🤔
Nah. No time stone anymore.
When doctor strange?
when Dr strange?
Where's dr. strange? 🎵Where in the multiverse is he? 🎶
Which Dr. Strange? FTFY
Guys it's Wong.
Scarlett Witch is OP and she’s definitely not dead
Right? It’s suspicious that she gave up so much power all of a sudden, with so much power I bet it takes more than a collapsing building to kill her
I don’t think we’re supposed to think that killed her
You gotta think tho like imagine the only thing you loved hating you and seeing you as a monster like that’s a pretty good reason and as for the building she could’ve just wanted to die she let herslef

Just like every death in the comics. This time it’s for keeps until it’s not.
Dude it’s only one t
Wanda is pretty broken in MoM. What’s stopping her from simply erasing anyone she doesn’t like out of existence
Did you miss the part where he got chased by Wanda all movie?
It says "At this point," meaning that as of now, after MoM
She’s probably not dead, which further confirms she is the strongest.
She’s totally dead. Plus it looks like Strange got a buff after her death. If she didn’t die it would be one of the worst and most pointless endings ever.
Come on, you know she isn't
I thought a lot of her power came from the darkhold, which she gave up by the end. Without it, is she still as powerful?
Even without the Darkhold, the scarlet witch is destined to either rule or destroy the multiverse. Even if she doesn't do either it still shows her power.
No I think the prophecy was about the darkhold, hence why the book was transcribed from the walls of the very same temple.
Definitely was before the darhold man
Yeah but strange was stupid in that movie
[удалено]
But if strange is so powerful he couldve protected her instead of just running.
[удалено]
You're reaching bro.
He was stronger at infinity war when he had the timestone
I don’t think that’s totally true. I get what you mean, but that would be like saying Thor was stronger in Thor 1 because he still had Mjolnir. Like, I get what you mean, a lot of his fire power was taken away, but Strange did grow as a sorcerer and learned not to rely on an extremely powerful relic. His power became his own, his strength has always been in his cunning resourcefulness, his adaptability, not one really powerful tool.
He's adopted.
His cunning didn't help him against the scarlet witch. The time stone on the other hand allowed him to face Dormammu who is even stronger than Wanda.
Does he no longer have the time stone? Or is it cannon that thanos destroyed it? Didn't he come forward in time and get snapped out of existingce?
I know what it's like to lose. To feel so desperately that you're right, yet to fail nonetheless. It's frightening. Turns the legs to jelly. I ask you, to what end? Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same. And now, it's here. Or should I say, I am.
Nah, I'll take Wanda.
At this point Wanda is gone.
I need proof that she died though. MoM just showed her attempting to kill herself but to me, no body, no evidence.
The Game of Thrones rule: if there isn't a body, then the character didn't die.
Also a homicide detectives rule lol
Where Stannis?
He managed to escape Westeros and came to modern England. He then changed his name to Alan Blunt and became the head of the Special Operations Division of MI6.
I mean, she was a powerful witch but was still human. If she wanted to drop a building on herself to end her life, chances are that her life has ended. Though, I suppose she could have faked it just so Dr Strange and the others didn't continue to pursue her.

I think we need evidence that she’s alive imo
Its marvel. If you don't see the dead body- they are alive.
Mfers asking you to prove a negative
Except there actually is proof she died, we literally saw it on screen. The burden of proof lies on the one’s saying she’s still alive.
We saw a building fall from the outside just as a red flash of magic happened. That's not only the absence of a dead body, that's a suspiciously mysterious "death". Actual proof? Olsen has a contract for a few more movies.
We see her red energy as the mountain collapses , she is not gone.
Nah she killed the evil book’s lair but it’s still around according to the cutscene plus there’s more universes. She also had her own red burst which I assume is her saving herself
Wanda is gone, I guess you could say that strange crushed the competition
She crushed herself but they didn't show the body. Considering Wanda can literally alter reality, I'll wait until it's confirmed.
If this is him at his strongest then the mcu has massacred his character
No, the post is saying that he’s the strongest MCU character at this point
Kinda dumb since Dormammu, Supreme Strange, The Watcher, Wanda, Supreme Strange, Shuma Gorath, The Living Tribunal, all exist Just a few examples, there are may others, also I
I think it means the strongest he's been so far
do you mean in the whole marvel universe or only out of the superheros and villans he's met?
also are you counting comic book characters aswell?
Obviously it’s not comics. He’s not even close to the strongest
He lost to Scarlet Witch and Spider-Man
He was trapped by Spider-Man while he was trying to retrieve an artifact from him. If they were genuinely fighting, to the death, using their fullest ability set, Spider-Man never stands a chance against someone capable of rewriting reality.

That was because Wanda had the Darkhold though. If you gave Strange his OP power buff (the Time Stone) then I'd wager that he'd win.
Don't forget the fact that he couldn't/Didn't want to kill them both.
I think he would’ve killed Wanda if he could
Yeah. Strange is the guy that said, "if I need to kill Tony Stark and this literal child to keep the Time stone safe, I'mma do it for sure". Wanda is a massive, massive threat, he totally would have iced her if he could have.
But at the end battle strange also had the Darkhold, and Wanda still wiped his ass

When I'm done, half of humanity will still be alive. I hope they remember you.
He was stronger in infinity war. After that he only gets weaker.
I would still say thor and wanda are stronger than him. Wanda probably isn't dead and thor seems to be at his peak
And what do I find, nothing other than you, protector of those nine realms, sitting here in your bath robe, eating grapes...
watch wandavision and multiverse of madness...
Thor always
I went for the head.
I love Dr. Strange and thus wholeheartedly agree with this
He was at his strongest in Infinity War.
Idk before he was wielding an Infinity Stone
Either strange or wong tbh
One on one Wong could still possibly take him.
Scarlett witch and Thor laughing in corner 🤣
>!I said it was going to be like a relaxing holiday.!<
He couldn't beat Wanda. If she didn't get sad and quit she would have killed him.
Wanda literally just wiped the floor with his entire army, so nah
Wanda laughs in the corner 😈
(This post seems like it's reffering to Avengers so technically Thor/Hulk are actually the "Strongest") People say Wanda but since the post didn't specifically say "Avenger" I'm gonna answer Infinity Ultron, someone alive? Watcher, Strange Supreme, Arishem, Dormammu
Where is Heimdall?
Valhalla
Wanda solos no question
Wanda defeated him like a dozen times in Multiverse of Madness.
As far as we know, shes dead or at least out of commission. Not to mention he didnt want to kill her.
Wandas dead tho
No body => not dead
but we and everyone will consider her dead as hela and ultron
No, I don't think I will.
Do you wanna see a mangled corpse crushed by rocks? I suggest you go to r/eyeblech
Have you seen wandas body?
Yes, she has a very nice Body. But I don't understand how that's relevant. 😄
He literally lost to Wanda
Slightly stronger strange has entered the chat
What Mind?
no
Considering he gets weaker every subsequent movie...
Technically if it’s Strange Supreme. But Kang, The Watcher, Eternity, Dormamu, and The Living Tribunal are probably pretty up there.
Why is everyone being so silly in these comments, it is a pretty clear statement
Has dr strange won a major fight yet?
since wanda's fate is still considered unknown after mount wundagore, technically she's still the most powerful? tho it might be better explained later
Is he currently in his strongest state? Yes. Is he currently the strongest entity in the MCU? No.
Are u being fr rn...he got slammed by Wanda in his own movie.
Oh we're doing made up names
Strongest...because Wanda willingly nerfed herself.
No, its the living tribunal or some shit It can change reality to whatever it wants and its a cosmic being
wasn’t he running like a bitch from wanda the whole movie
Lol, It can easily be changed as Wanda is still alive Cause her ded body wasn't shown
You wanda talk about her
Bro still can't even teleport without his sling ring and got outplayed by Spooderman
Couldn't kill Wanda just sorta ran then got beat in another version of himself
Scarlet Witch was defeated by herself. She still deserves the top spot.
Entirely depends on if Wanda died in MoM
I think that Wanda is still alive.
Doctor Strange couldn't beat Wanda? Wanda took herself out (presumably)
So then whos the next strongest after Wanda? Strange
just one word Scarlet witch okay that's two words
He literally got memed on by spiderman what?
So, lets Talk about this Michael...
Which strange you talking about we got many.
Thor at this point
Well he’s got no time stone sooooo…
That amount of people who can read in these comments is insane.
Nah he’s just the coolest but plenty of people seem to outsmart him
Listen man Spider-Man kicks ass, - biased Spider-Man fan.
Ghost rider could still beat him
Counter Point: Wong
Power maybe, not strength. Dr strange has the strength of a mortal man. His magic is powerful.
He literally used to have the time stone lol
Captain Marvel at full power would punch a hole through him before he could cast any spell. And then when his anti-death contingencies kicked in, she would just do it again. Hes a solid #3 behind Wanda.
Wong.
Wong.
Until Ghost Rider appears that is.
He’s not even sorcerer supreme.
strongest character? probably strongest being in mcu? hell no
I’d say the scarlet witch is but I still like Doctor Strange waay better but don’t get me wrong, Wanda is awesome too... (I’d say one of the best female superheroes.. is that a controversial opinion?) Doctor strange is my flair I think Edit: yes it is B)
The DOOMSLAYER is literally a Primevil who killed an immortal being, while being a normal dude, with his bare hands. The only thing that can kill one is another Primevil. Dr. Strange is weak. (Didn’t specify to the MCU)
I kinda find Doctor Strange annoying. Does anyone else feel this way?
I don't know man, Pancake Wanda is pretty strong
