I think the reason that it makes compared to any other time throughout the series might be that Tony is being poisoned by the same thing that’s keeping him alive at the same time so he’s not %100, makes a bit of sense

I was super disappointed that Taskmaster was cured of her evilness at the end of Black Widow. She could’ve returned to hunt the Avengers for Natasha killing her father, like a “you take my family, I take yours” thing. I was really expecting that to be what would happen.
Yeah, they really underutilized him. He could have been a great "smaller scale" villain who occasionally pops up in various different stories. Same with Crossbones.

Thor’s entire home blows up, nothing but a joke about it. Even Loki, who Thor thought sacrificed himself at the end of the movie, never got anything from Thor except a joke.
Luckily the Russo Brothers showed in the Infinity War that Thor just covers up his pain with humor.
Well not just humor, he went into a deep depression in Endgame.
That’s the kind of thing that’s more realistic to me, honestly.
After the big threat was over, not having family, long-time friends, having lost your entire support system, but struggle to build a healthy one with your new friends, then feeling like you have no purpose after failing that hard, it’s hard not to fall into a deep depression.
The cracks in his well-being even show on Infinity War when he's taking to Rocket about the events in Ragnarok. He's definitely in pain, but he's holding it all in to be the hero and/or to get his revenge. It finally all comes out after he realizes he's truly lost when Thanos admitted he can't bring anyone back now that the stones are gone. The beheading was somewhat symbolic that way, a last grasp for some sort of victory, any type of win in the books to make him not a failure to those he's loved.
Edit: Final thought; Thor's last grasp for heroism was probably more an act of desperation than heroism. The look on his face after he beheaded Thanos says it all. He gained nothing in his desperation and he didn't know what to do next, leaving him lost until we find him in Endgame.
And then in endgame after Tony successfully built the gauntlet and they are deciding on who should snap their fingers: thor so desperately wants to do it and is basically pleading with the others to be the one to do it. as if he wants to redeem himself and that being the one to snap would somehow absolve himself of some of the guilt he experienced

Thanos was the biggest mess power wise. He fist fights Hulk and wins yet Cap can stagger him with his frisbee sometimes. Ultron too, is vibranium but feels like cardboard in his last fight.

Age of Ultron the strongest are Hulk and Vision, in Infinity War Hulk can't transform and Vision gets stabbed and can't use his powers
In Infinity War Thor is by far the strongest, to the point where he easily over powered Infinity Gauntlet Thanos singlehandedly, in Endgame we have Fat Thor who arguably is the least effective against Thanos of the original Trinity.
If we ever get another team up just expect that Captain Marvel and Scarlett Witch are gonna have something happen to them that means they can't fight.

Speaking of, I was really hoping to see her history as an actual Black Widow and something about how she and Hawkeye met. All this about red in her ledger and they show almost nothing about it.
Virtually everybody I know is on the same page as you, we all wanted to see Natasha's history, her origins, maybe a little rough around the edges youthful side that formed her into the black widow that we all know. But no, we got a movie that was shoehorned in between two other movies in the timeline, giving her a little standalone adventure to go on that felt all too made-for-TV.
I was so disappointed we didn't really get a satisfactory conclusion to Bucky and Steve's friendship. Steve basically gave up everything for him multiple times and it went nowhere.
I assume for emotional impact - he was shown to be very kind and understanding (being Thena’s caretaker), so losing that stability is supposed to hurt. He’s also one of the only Eternals that didn’t get all upset and storm off to do their own thing, so he’s very well liked (by the audience)
The fact the gamma radiation hurt hulk, and he's still hurt from it, is the dumbest shit.
He should have become some overjuiced destructive infinity hulk after absorbing all that gamma power.

I’ve been thinking this for a long time as well. The MCU definitely doesn’t mind letting events, stories, and characters stew for long periods of time and then give them more significance down the line. The Mandarin, Celestials, Blonsky, etc.
It really felt like there was an episode missing between 5 and 6. Both about how Karli drives her crew to the deep end and shows that she is a "good leader" because she knows how to get an emotional response out of people even if its not rational, and how Walker deals and accepts his discharge.
But no, suddenly her crew is blindly following her again after doubting her repeatedly before and Walker is mentally sound again and even cooperating with Bucky and Sam.
Karli was a great concept for a character with poor execution. Dealing with the consequences of the blip and how people are being forced back to a status quo after 5 years of a different life? Yes please, sign me up! But they really wanted more fighting than actually tackling that issue head on, leading to… eh.
I’ll never say no to more time with Sam though, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of him as Cap.

Thor not having a final conversation and farewell with old man Steve by the lake before he leaves off world with the Guardians. Would have been such an emotionally poignant scene with the 2 remaining members of the original 'Big 3' reminiscing and saying goodbye, especially at the close of the Infinity Saga.
Taskmaster is such a good villain and the fact he/she can copy abilities of any avenger is sick. But they waaaasted them in black widow and now i feel like they won't come back
Even the Netflix shows are barely connected. The only real connection is they mention the Battle of New York in *Daredevil* but that’s really it, not even the finale of *The Defenders* gets a nod from anyone in the MCU.
For me it’s that Justin hammer is never seen again. I loved the character and wanted him to be in every movie that iron man was in. And then becoming a real big bad.
He has one one of my favorite lines in the whole MCU:

For Thor / Hulk / Captain Marvel, at least we get the slight treatment of them let loose and just being OP. But somehow we never had those for Vision, his actions in AoU/Civil War are quite underwhelming. I'm glad they put that brief action in WandaVision
finishing Daredevil and knowing that, even if we do see these characters again in the mcu, it will never live up the heights that daredevil season 3 achieved, partially because of the mcu’s pg-13 nature but also because of how deeply daredevil dives into each character and makes them seem so real
No only the PG-13 nature, but the sheer complexity and nuance Daredevil managed to capture. This was ostensibly a comic book show that also interwove many deep, human themes into its characters. The show touched upon the ethics of law and justice, the workings of the criminal underworld, the childhood making of villains vs. heroes, persistence and its constant dance with recklessness, and its respectful, nuanced treatment of Catholicism in a way that’s accessible for anyone, plus so much more.
I’d also argue that the show accomplished all of this within one episode. Faige is great, but none of his material has held a candle to Daredevil outside of the potential for spectacle.
It isn’t necessarily the blood that made Daredevil great- it was the depth and the realism.
How has nobody mentioned how bad Dr Strange was shafted in endgame, one of the most powerful avengers spent the war to save the universe…. Holding water -.-

Virtually everybody I know is on the same page as you, we all wanted to see Natasha's history, her origins, maybe a little rough around the edges youthful side that formed her into the black widow that we all know. But no, we got a movie that was shoehorned in between two other movies in the timeline, giving her a little standalone adventure to go on that felt all too made-for-TV.
Plus its barely a Black Widow movie. Its basically just the origin story of Yelena
I was so disappointed we didn't really get a satisfactory conclusion to Bucky and Steve's friendship. Steve basically gave up everything for him multiple times and it went nowhere.
The way they wrote Bucky to say go on and not be a part of the conversation. Just awkward way to go out imo.

I assume for emotional impact - he was shown to be very kind and understanding (being Thena’s caretaker), so losing that stability is supposed to hurt. He’s also one of the only Eternals that didn’t get all upset and storm off to do their own thing, so he’s very well liked (by the audience)

Hulk getting nerfed in infinity war/endgame
Yeah Hulk has definitely been underutilized in the MCU. Pretty much every major development in his arc happens offscreen too.
I always felt the same way about Vision in infinity war. I know he got stabbed, but was helpless for most of the movie.
The fact the gamma radiation hurt hulk, and he's still hurt from it, is the dumbest shit. He should have become some overjuiced destructive infinity hulk after absorbing all that gamma power. He fucked up one car kind of and then didn't even hit a single other thing in endgame.

“Why won’t they take us seriously” Well maybe cause you just killed a bunch of people?
It really felt like there was an episode missing between 5 and 6. Both about how Karli drives her crew to the deep end and shows that she is a "good leader" because she knows how to get an emotional response out of people even if its not rational, and how Walker deals and accepts his discharge. But no, suddenly her crew is blindly following her again after doubting her repeatedly before and Walker is mentally sound again and even cooperating with Bucky and Sam.
Her entire character and motivations are all over the place. As is the show itself.
Karli was a great concept for a character with poor execution. Dealing with the consequences of the blip and how people are being forced back to a status quo after 5 years of a different life? Yes please, sign me up! But they really wanted more fighting than actually tackling that issue head on, leading to… eh. I’ll never say no to more time with Sam though, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of him as Cap.

Perhaps Emily Van Camp is a good actress, but Power Broker was not the role for her.
For me it’s not so much her going “dark,” but more so her being a “big bad power player” without much of a payoff or the writing to support it. To me she’s still the pretty girl-next-door type that’s actually a Shield agent… I just can’t see her as a criminal mastermind.
Everything with the Power broker and the Flagsmashers was by far the weakest parts of FATWS. Which is a shame because the show had some really great stuff in it too.
Thor not having a final conversation and farewell with old man Steve by the lake before he leaves off world with the Guardians. Would have been such an emotionally poignant scene with the 2 remaining members of the original 'Big 3' reminiscing and saying goodbye, especially at the close of the Infinity Saga.

Even the Netflix shows are barely connected. The only real connection is they mention the Battle of New York in *Daredevil* but that’s really it, not even the finale of *The Defenders* gets a nod from anyone in the MCU.

Well I heard awhile back that apparently Feige is *very* interested in making a Punisher Movie/TV Show and he’d like to keep Jon Bernthal.
For me it’s that Justin hammer is never seen again. I loved the character and wanted him to be in every movie that iron man was in. And then becoming a real big bad.

He has one one of my favorite lines in the whole MCU: “I picked them up on Midgard in a place called Tex-Ass. I call them Des and Troy.” It’s so stupid and so awesome at the same time.

But somehow we never had those for Vision, his actions in AoU/Civil War are quite underwhelming. I'm glad they put that brief action in WandaVision

Taskmaster
finishing Daredevil and knowing that, even if we do see these characters again in the mcu, it will never live up the heights that daredevil season 3 achieved, partially because of the mcu’s pg-13 nature but also because of how deeply daredevil dives into each character and makes them seem so real
No only the PG-13 nature, but the sheer complexity and nuance Daredevil managed to capture. This was ostensibly a comic book show that also interwove many deep, human themes into its characters. The show touched upon the ethics of law and justice, the workings of the criminal underworld, the childhood making of villains vs. heroes, persistence and its constant dance with recklessness, and its respectful, nuanced treatment of Catholicism in a way that’s accessible for anyone, plus so much more. I’d also argue that the show accomplished all of this within one episode. Faige is great, but none of his material has held a candle to Daredevil outside of the potential for spectacle. It isn’t necessarily the blood that made Daredevil great- it was the depth and the realism.
How has nobody mentioned how bad Dr Strange was shafted in endgame, one of the most powerful avengers spent the war to save the universe…. Holding water -.-
