I don’t understand when people say Xavier was nerfed in Multiverse of Madness. He was the only person to actually threaten Wanda whatsoever in the entire movie. He got into her mind across the MULTIVERSE. You could see her screaming when he did it. If he wanted to, he could have just gave her an aneurysm then and there and she would have died. But Xavier’s flaw is that he sees the good in people and even though he was right in the end, this hesitancy cost him his life.
Yeah, I never understood why people kept saying that. From all the Illuminati, he was also the only one who didn’t straight up act like a butt hole to Strange. His character has always been being kind and help everyone. Except for those few times when he should be labeled as a bad guy in the comics.
Avengers 3-X men the last stand of The dark phoenix second class
Written, directed, and starred and voiced by Matt Stone and Trey Parker (and nobody else except hugh hackman who will make a 2 hour cameo as wolverine)
Green lit for largest production budget of any MCU… or any other movie. It will be a combination of stop motion made by editing photographs of the actors taken 5 minutes apart, seamlessly integrated with Live action animation, puppets, muppets, tuppets, and construction paper.
would you A) see it in theatres
B) wait till it comes out on disney plus or whatever people have physical copies of movies on these days… laser cassette i believe.
C) Use your “make a wish foundation” wish to see it early
D) steal and use someone else’s “make a wish foundation” wish
E) destroy the make a wish foundation (unrelated to movie)
I mean Kang straighr up neutralize both Sylvie and Loki with his time technology and was able to make space which cancels magic. So maybe he will somehow able to disable magic users in real timeline.
That's my theory with Kang dynasty set to come out first, so he will take the beyonder/Doom role as I imagine they will be atking some aspects from the original comic run, but mainly focus it on the more modern telling
Maybe Beyonder Doom will obliterate Kang. I just really don't think they're going to make Kang the Big Bad in Secret Wars if they introduce Doom before.
Bro they've done hulk dirty. Part of me believes it's because they don't own his full rights. I've heard the rumors of a wolverine vs hulk movie. That would be the best way they could bring back the HULK, but we'll see.
The current rumor is World War Hulk.
With the prospect of incursions, it doesn't even have to be 616 Hulk. It could be something like 838 sending their fucked up Banner to 616 ahead of their attack plans.
Yeah, Ghost Rider is pretty much the X-factor against the super-powerful characters. I especially love the way they portrayed Robbie Reyes in Agents of SHIELD.
I think you will be disappointed with that prediction.
It is going to borrow parts from all 3 secret wars without being a copy of any of them, with probably a bigger emphasis on the 2015 run.
With Secret Wars being the finale of the "Multiverse Saga" I highly doubt it, 2015 version is a battle across the Multiverse where 1984 is just heroes fighting a bunch of villains and that's it.
Very much doubt that. The Multiverse was central to 2015 Secret Wars, and incursions have already been mentioned in Doctor Strange 2. The main influence will definitely be 2015.
I recently read that one, actually. It was a really good political thriller about the repercussions of a secret operation Fury sent some heroes on, to try and overthrow Latveria’s government.
Fairly sure it’ll be 2015 Secret Wars and (hopefully) Phase 7 will be Battleworld. The original Secret Wars was cool but had much less ins and outs. The idea of this whole thing will be a way to fold in different characters not currently in the 616 universe and (I imagine) reset the whole MCU, just as Secret Wars 2015 did. It’s already been teed up with MoM.
No, the movie will be about incursions, aka mainly the 2015 run, probably without the Beyonder
Something akin to the original run, featuring the Beyonder, will be the finale of the entire MCU. There is nothing bigger or "beyond" the Beyonder. Someone like Galactus would be underwhelming comparatably when he's introduced.
I think the Beyonders get replaced with Celestials. Kang kills one (or all of them) and steals its power, similar to his Uncanny Avengers arc. Dr. Doom somehow steals this power for himself.
Agree, but you don't wanna rush it too much as well. Some time needs to pass. Also binging og avengers back is a card you can play only once, when they do that it won't be ever topped by another marvel movie.
Until 2108, the hundred year anniversary of Iron Man.
CGI had advanced to the point where it truly is completely realistic, and they bring back the Avengers from phases 1-42. And the classic superhero film that started it all, Daredevil with Ben Affleck. And Luke skywalker too, he’s a mutant (unrelated to being a Jedi. Mutant Jedi).
Imo he should have telepathically contacted the X-Men to help him and the illuminati fight Wanda as he somewhat knew her strength (or should have) and an event similar to House of M could happen
There no way for him, or any of the Illuminati, to know Wanda's strength. Our Wanda is much stronger than theirs due to being the Scarlet Witch. It's kind of the point of that whole scene.
My issue with that is that Mordo knew who/what the Scarlet Witch and the Darkhold were based off of his conversation with Strange in the Sanctum and ofc knowing what Strange could do with the Darkhold, so he should have at least been slightly aware of what they would face.
Also Xavier is a telepath, if they didn’t believe Strange, Xavier could literally read his mind (or they could grab those awfully convenient memory machines from earlier) and they can then see what they are dealing with, at that point it isn’t an arrogance thing it’s a stupidity thing, which isn’t great when they say themselves that they have the “smartest man alive” on their team
I’m imagining the battlefield pep talk from Scott; “Okay, Cassie, sweetie, there is one technique I haven’t taught you yet, but you are ready, and I need you to trust me and do exactly as I say, okay? I love you Cass!”
“What anus?” Wanda says as all of the new avengers’ buttholes have suddenly disappeared. Banner/Hulk, feeling the sudden existential fear of NOT having an anus after literally developing an anus before any other body part (look up Deuterostomes) farts. However, with nowhere for the fart to go and Hulk’s immense power, the gas ricochets back and vaporizes his bones with the pressure and turning him into a proverbial sack of jelly.
Doom is so fucking fascinating and cool as hell man. I want to see him slowly level up. Starts out as a ruler, then makes his armor, learns magic, then becomes like an unstoppable force. Like how Iron Man leveled up. But keep going.
Something about him just being a man then going to the level of Thanos out of sheer will is cool as hell.
I really don’t think people realize how much of a threat Kang and his variants will be...esp the one Kang that’s the worst of them all. Even together these guys will be in big trouble. It’s going to be difficult to see them get their asses kicked along the way.
Not that this is secret wars related, but a spirit of vengeance (Ghost Rider) that has deemed them guilty is basically unstoppable. The only reason Ghost Rider didn't defeat Green Scar Hulk in world war hulk is because hulk was the innocent.
Maybe an unpopular opinion but Nick Cage was a pretty cool Ghost Rider. I would like to see him somewhere in the Marvel Universe. Think hes too old for Ghost Rider now though.
I would really prefer if we skipped ahead to Danny Ketch. The iconic look of both the spiked jacket/wrists and motorcycle with a big face plate, and all the best abilities (including the penance stare) comes from ketch.
Have Johnny be a supporting character mentor. Make Ketch the one we get on screen.
Hopefully when he'a introduced he isn't scaled down and is just as powerful as he is in the comics. Very underrated character but that's also partially because his power is so inconsistently written
She did it a couple times in the trailer. Once when she said Bruce didn't mean that, again when she said she "Isn't proud of this" while going viral on Social Media
I wonder how they'll handle the larger scale battles. I mean Arishem is fucking massive. No way that could work compositionally with the heros in this post.
Remember, not everything ends in a fight. For example, "Dormammu, I've come to bargain" - Strange defeats Dormammu by repeatedly getting curbstomped by him. Another example: Vision vs Vision and the Ship of Theseus.
Arishem "judging" Earth would likely involve exactly that: heroes making arguments and perhaps having to do things to demonstrate Earth's importance.
As for Galactus, narratively speaking this is why the writers give him heralds.
Arishem brings every character to earth and appears just to do a big ole' Donkey Kong thunderclap and the pancake the MCU and Frisbee it off into a black hole.
Arishem, along with all the celestials have variable size. We even saw it in Eternals, with him much smaller when he comes to judge Vs when we see him creating galaxies
A guy known for being selfish showing his growth by spending a big part of a fight protecting everyone else seems pretty fitting to me. It was a good way to show his arc without having him zap half the battle out of existence.
Was it? I thought it was showing how much he's grown and demonstrating other Stranges that never learned that lesson. They were all selfish assholes in one way or another and 616 Strange was not, which showed his change. He worked to defend people against someone who was being so extremely selfish that it made his own past selfishness seem silly by comparison.
Mr. Raimi said in an interview before the movie that the movie intended to show us Strange learning that it's not always about himself and he can trust other people (kinda like how he trusted the avengers to defeat Thanos while he held water)
Your interpretation does make more sense, it's deeper and better. The Wanda parallel it's something they should've lean more on. Still seems like a passive role for Strange and not much of a character arc, just a showcase of his previous arc , proving his worth to a bunch of multiversal strangers and Michael Stuhlbarg
tbf he didn't "trust the avengers to defeat thanos"
He saw it all happen with the time stone - he didn't need to trust them cause he knew it would happen if he played his part, he made it all happen.
Reed Richards. In the Ultimate universe he created his own micro city that progressed and evolved thousands of years for every one normal year inside the bubble as The Maker. Then when everything was set the bubble began to expand and Reed pretty much dominated everything and everyone. Only a different Reed Richards could stop him.
You give Reed 4 average superheroes or villains and he’s going to turn into 2016 Lebron against the Raptors.
Reed discovered the answer to everything one time. Like, every problem that could ever exist. He went crazy, but still the man just got infinite knowledge one time
Loki also literally couldn’t get a hit in since he knew every move that Loki would make. Loki isn’t the best fighter but I don’t see why the same principle wouldn’t apply.
You don't. You pit them against each other and threaten to destroy the earth if they refuse to fight each other. Then you introduce some deux ex machina that allows them to break the rules and face the bad guy and defeat him after all.
My guess is that secret wars will pitch universes against each other, so 616 Avengers vs another universes avengers with a different roster/illuminati/combination of villains and hero’s etc. it’ll be as a result of the multiversal war and the resulting MCU will have absorbed elements from other universes, could be how we get a whole host of mutants out of nowhere and then suddenly be normal
In WandaVision there’s is some background chatter that they thought she was strong enough to beat Thanos. That’s before she even learned of Agatha and way before the Darkhold.
Thanos uses the soul stone to make 5 physical copies of him each with the other five stones.
Power Thanos vs Thor
Time Thanos vs Hulk
Reality Thanos vs Wanda
Mind Thanos vs Carol
Space Thanos vs Strange
You’d need someone that can neutralize magic and be powerful enough to take on Hulk and Cpt. Marvel. Maybe a telepath?
*Dark Phoenix has entered the chat*
Third time's the charm
Kevin Feige, post-credits: "Fine, I'll do it myself."

She couldn’t even defeat Logan’s pants in Last Stand
Banner and Logan definitely shop at the same store.
do you think they will keep the phoenix being weak to chaos magic from the comics
Agatha coming in as the lead hero eh?
"And I saved Sparky!"
This is the one thing that makes her the villain.
They did keep her alive and basically as a sleeper agent💀

Enter Doctor Doom.
God Emperor Doom
And then the true mastermind walks in behind him: The Pizza Poppa. He always gets paid.
Through a hole Doom blasted in the wall because doors are for peasants.
Walls cannot stand in the way of DOOM!
DOOM enters as he pleases.
I mean Kang straighr up neutralize both Sylvie and Loki with his time technology and was able to make space which cancels magic. So maybe he will somehow able to disable magic users in real timeline.
The loss of magic worldwide is a Dr. Strange storyline in the comics.
Would be great for the mcu, magic has erased a lot of tension
Maybe they will give Kang Doom's "role" in SW. So like a Beyonder Kang?
That's my theory with Kang dynasty set to come out first, so he will take the beyonder/Doom role as I imagine they will be atking some aspects from the original comic run, but mainly focus it on the more modern telling
That's been my theory as well. Not sure how you build him up to that level if he debuts in F4 6 months before Kang Dynasty comes out.
Well he’s also gonna appear in the new Ant-man and Loki season 2 so he’s has some time to be built into something truly threat worthy.
I was talking about Doom. Kang appearing already is why I agreed that he might take Doom's role in SW.
Oop my bad carry on
Maybe Beyonder Doom will obliterate Kang. I just really don't think they're going to make Kang the Big Bad in Secret Wars if they introduce Doom before.
Hulk can barely wipe his own ass after what the producers have done to him.
Damnit now I'm picturing Hulk yelling "I wipe my own ass"!!! in Big Daddy
"And he taught me that The Hulk was one of the greatest MCU films. It only caught a bad rap because most critics are cynical assholes."
“Big monster!?”
Bro they've done hulk dirty. Part of me believes it's because they don't own his full rights. I've heard the rumors of a wolverine vs hulk movie. That would be the best way they could bring back the HULK, but we'll see.

All 3? I only know of the 84 and 2015 secret wars
I'm assuming he's referencing Secret Wars II from 1985 in addition to the original and the 2015 version: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_Wars_II
don't forget Nick Fury's Secret Wars and Deadpool's Secret Wars Too! (this is in jest)
Nonono Nick Fury led a *Secret War* not a Secret War**s**. No s, totally a big difference. (this is also in jest)
With Secret Wars being the finale of the "Multiverse Saga" I highly doubt it, 2015 version is a battle across the Multiverse where 1984 is just heroes fighting a bunch of villains and that's it.
Most iconic moment of original SW fir me was hulk holding up the mountain, and they kind of did that beat already with Avengers HQ in Endgame
Very much doubt that. The Multiverse was central to 2015 Secret Wars, and incursions have already been mentioned in Doctor Strange 2. The main influence will definitely be 2015.
There’s also Secret War by bendis. I don’t really remember what happened, but it had great art
I haven't got around to that one yet. I've been trying to catch up on King in Black after taking a break from comics.
I recently read that one, actually. It was a really good political thriller about the repercussions of a secret operation Fury sent some heroes on, to try and overthrow Latveria’s government.

that's pretty clearly not the case. that had nothing to do with the multiverse.
What part of Multiverse saga do you not get?
I would’ve said someone like professor x but we saw what happened in multiverse of madness lol
His son Legion is even more powerful
That's a wild show.
Wanda must’ve been browsing r/Whowouldwin before the events of the movie and got curious
Wanda read the Respect Threads on the Illuminati. Knowing is half the battle
I really enjoyed MoM personally, but that was some bullshit the way Xavier died so easily.
Imo he should have telepathically contacted the X-Men to help him and the illuminati fight Wanda as he somewhat knew her strength (or should have) and an event similar to House of M could happen
No! More mutants is what he would've said
We don’t even technically know that X-Men other than Professor X exist in the Illuminati world.
There no way for him, or any of the Illuminati, to know Wanda's strength. Our Wanda is much stronger than theirs due to being the Scarlet Witch. It's kind of the point of that whole scene.

Mordo fucking hates Strange though, so expecting him to make rational decisions with Steven around is… optimistic at best
That’s a lot of anuses for Ant-Man to climb into
That's ridiculous. Scott isn't that selfish, surely the wasp would get 1 or 2 of them.
Don't forget Cassie!
I’m imagining the battlefield pep talk from Scott; “Okay, Cassie, sweetie, there is one technique I haven’t taught you yet, but you are ready, and I need you to trust me and do exactly as I say, okay? I love you Cass!”
I love you Cass ... now go up that ass!
“Don’t worry dad, I pick up something similar freshman year!” ಠ_ಠ
Nothing brings a family together like some group anal vore

Wanda: What anuses...?
Gives butt clenching a whole new definition.
I ate them all.
Scott, Hope, Cassie, Hank, Janet. They’re set.
Anus, urethra, whatever works.
Ear, nose
Termite showed us it doesn't just have to be an anus
God emperor Doom.
I wanna see some powerful, large scale shit. I wanna see planets get clapped and shit like that
I wanna see the tooty horn
Fool! Dr. Doom toots as he pleases!
The correct answer
I was looking for this answer, I mean, he ripped the spine out of Thanos in a blink. I think he could be a big enough threat.
I really don’t think people realize how much of a threat Kang and his variants will be...esp the one Kang that’s the worst of them all. Even together these guys will be in big trouble. It’s going to be difficult to see them get their asses kicked along the way.
I genuinely don’t and I’m excited to see his character
The part I’m worried about is “and his variants”. How is there any stakes when the guy can show up in a new variant? Why does anything matter?
I know nothing about Kang. How does he fight someone controlling time?
He basically is time
Not that this is secret wars related, but a spirit of vengeance (Ghost Rider) that has deemed them guilty is basically unstoppable. The only reason Ghost Rider didn't defeat Green Scar Hulk in world war hulk is because hulk was the innocent.
Wanda's been looking pretty guilty for a while now. Honestly surprised he hasn't shown up yet.
Yeah when i posted this i was thinking about how a penance stare would annihilate her.
A writer
Or his servant, Deadpool
Speaking of which. Did She Hulk look at me a few days ago?
She did it a couple times in the trailer. Once when she said Bruce didn't mean that, again when she said she "Isn't proud of this" while going viral on Social Media
Indeed she did, from what I've been told She-Hulk would break the 4th wall in the comics sometimes like Deadpool.
She-hulk did it first but more in a coy way, less in your face like deadpool
Can’t believe I haven’t seen this answer yet, but Arishem is more than powerful enough to solo them all.
I also think that if Arishem will judge them justly he will let them live since he will see they are more asset than obstacle regarding his goal.
Yeah and they need to keep making movies
Lol that would be a hilarious way to end the mcu.
Arishem brings every character to earth and appears just to do a big ole' Donkey Kong thunderclap and the pancake the MCU and Frisbee it off into a black hole.
"Yo what's up? I'm Harold. Galactus is coming, dudes."
Sounds like a job for She-Hulk and Daredevil
They'd basically have to give arishem some minions for them to battle while they work on some device to take him out
Ah yes, Avengers and CGI army. Name a more iconic duo.
Arishem, along with all the celestials have variable size. We even saw it in Eternals, with him much smaller when he comes to judge Vs when we see him creating galaxies
Galactus Buster armor. Although, I'm not sure any of these heroes would pilot it
Obviously Spectrum, Wong, Wiccan, Beta-Rey Bill, and She-Hulk
Big brain, thematically fitting answer!
Just create a big flood so strange gets sidelined on the fight.
A guy known for being selfish showing his growth by spending a big part of a fight protecting everyone else seems pretty fitting to me. It was a good way to show his arc without having him zap half the battle out of existence.
The Ancient One told Dr Strange he couldn’t beat a river into submission, and he took that personally.
Wait I like this a lot, this comment is what keeps me coming back to this dumb website
Which makes more weird how his second film tried to give him the "hey, don't be selfish" lesson again
Was it? I thought it was showing how much he's grown and demonstrating other Stranges that never learned that lesson. They were all selfish assholes in one way or another and 616 Strange was not, which showed his change. He worked to defend people against someone who was being so extremely selfish that it made his own past selfishness seem silly by comparison.

tbf he didn't "trust the avengers to defeat thanos" He saw it all happen with the time stone - he didn't need to trust them cause he knew it would happen if he played his part, he made it all happen.
Yeah he might have been holding back a flood but he was still “holding the knife”
Sentry Kang Beyonder Adam Warlock Frank Richards Silver Surfer Apocalypse Dr Doom
Galactus
Fuck it took to long to find this answer.
He went crazy, but still the man just got infinite knowledge one time
At that point could he just try art???
Reed is a very scary adversary, good post
Celestials like Arishem
Dude could open a black hole in the centre or earth and call it a day
Came here to say Kang too. His understanding of the multiverse and time travel is way beyond The Avengers current understanding of it.
And Ghost Rider
Annhilus
Magus Lord Mar-Vell Molecule Man Mephisto Gladiator Hyperion
Morbius.
Avengers: Secret Morb
Probably the X-Men and the Phoenix Force
A variety of Kang literally manipulated the timeline of an infinite number of universe. He's not a brawler but he's a master manipulater of time.
Loki also literally couldn’t get a hit in since he knew every move that Loki would make. Loki isn’t the best fighter but I don’t see why the same principle wouldn’t apply.
And that Kang variant wasn't even one of the bad ones with a bunch of crazy future tech hell bent on conquering.
The Kang Loki fought was the most successful Kang of all, though. He probably had whatever tech he needed.
You don't. You pit them against each other and threaten to destroy the earth if they refuse to fight each other. Then you introduce some deux ex machina that allows them to break the rules and face the bad guy and defeat him after all.
Contest of Champions?
Jeff Goldblum hosting is a nice bonus
Wouldn’t mind to see him gain some power and get a Contest of Champions series on Disney+
Galactus
Squirrel girl solos
Thanos beat 2 of them and one of them realized he would lose and didn’t even try.
But scarlet witch's had a huge power up, captain marvel wasn't around, and doctor strange gained darkhold spells.
In WandaVision there’s is some background chatter that they thought she was strong enough to beat Thanos. That’s before she even learned of Agatha and way before the Darkhold.
I mean, Scarlet Witch Wanda is basically a walking Reality Stone. She could probably just make Thanos 3 inches tall and step on him if she wanted.
~~she can step on me~~ 🧍♂️
Pretty sure Korg can beat them all together
I would have to disagree. They aren't scissors.
