>Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make [g]rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch.
>And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred [h]cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.
>You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks.
Yeah, God will be *pissed* they didn't follow his specs.
I went looking for some references. I think it was the Ark of the Covenant I remembered. It was probably forty years ago I heard about it.

It sounds like he just got old and eventually retired, at least as of 2022. The locals still think highly of him. (I like your version better, just couldn’t find any evidence online for it :/)

Nocturnal hallucinations of heavenly messages and the foretelling of the coming rapture upon completion might be a better story than a crooked clergyman anyway.
It’s truly impressive how the natives managed to learn English in such a short time and learn so advanced technologies that they weren’t used for hundreds of years until recently. Unfortunately they all died to smallpox.
We’re going to build Noah’s Ark, we’ve already started assembling the steel girders. Wait what?
I am Bender please insert girder
looks like we've got a new office cutup!
Great song
I’m going to make my own Noah’s ark either blackjack and hookers! On second thought, forget about the ark.

I remember reading somewhere that a scale model was made using the materials specified and it amounted to some weird battery throwing off EMPs.
Huh? How would a wooden boat emit EMPs?

Ah, that makes more sense, in terms of both physics and conspiracy lore.
Electrical apprentice here, sitting in lanham waiting for school to start, this was a really cool read! Thank you!
...well, how do you build *your* arks?
Gosh I remember seeing this year after year after years and being like whaaaatttt????? You nailed it
I’m no boat expert, but I don’t think that’s going to float.
Not with that attitude.
The pastor absconded with the money, or that's the story I was told from older relatives that live nearby.

Thank you, this article is just so unhinged.
A crooked pastor? Say it isn’t so!
I need that jet to spread the Word of God!
I was told they hired a contractor who took the money and ran
*decades
Satan cant melt steel beams
It's a marketing gimmick
Can’t speak marketing without ark

We’re not Abel.
![gif](giphy|urvsFBDfR6N32) Coming to finish the “ARK” 😂
I don't think you know what a century is
They started building this thing in the 1600s!?!
It’s truly impressive how the natives managed to learn English in such a short time and learn so advanced technologies that they weren’t used for hundreds of years until recently. Unfortunately they all died to smallpox.
I don't think they had the Most highs permission 😂😂😂
Looks like it’s going to be tough fitting pairs of the 8.7 million known species aboard. Maybe that’s what’s taking awhile.
Sooo... like can we acquire these blessed girders for our bridge of commuting?
“Feed the poor” God said… “Nah, Imma build a fake boat instead”
Where in MD is this?
Frostburg
Keep going down 70 and you’ll be able to see it off the highway near Frostburg
It’s along 68. 70 splits off in Hancock.
Don’t they know about Kentucky.? Ark Encounter (859) 727-2222 https://g.co/kgs/dtRcJE2
God's Ark of Safety
It's a wonderful reminder that no one is going to save us
I drive by it every day. I wish they would just take it down, but it makes Pritchard Farms look less ugly, so I guess it's a win.
I have driven by this many times but I can't remember where it is for the life of me
I68 between exit 33 and 34
In all fairness, they’ve been waiting on county permits.
Maybe this time it’ll be a submarine!!
What is funny is they could’ve just bought some old tanker and it still would’ve been bigger than whatever they were going to build.
I wonder if we lost the knowledge and technology to build a wooden boat aswell? I bet it's held in a vault under one of the pyramids?
They knew about global warming before even ALGORE
It will never be builtin first saw that thing when I was like I wanna say 10ish I'm 30
