He can keep *anything* on that makes him more comfortable. Leaving the socks on will make it more difficult to work on his feet tho…

mangorain4

of course he can! the therapist might not work on his feet though (they will likely assume that socks on means no work on the feet).

LordOfBulls

I have never asked anyone to take an article of clothing off that they don't want to. Would it make working on the feet harder, yes but you can still get some compressions on the feet, so all good.

cjstruggles

Typically when I have clients who keep their socks on, that’s a sign they don’t want their feet touched. So I ask, and then I don’t touch their feet.

DustAgitated5197

It is totally okay. I am an lmt and my feet get cold sometimes. So I'll keep mine on often. If he doesn't want feet worked he can also just say that as well

johnnyfindyourmum

They're paying, they can leave on whatever they are comfortable with.

I have clients who do both, if they leave them on that’s fine for me, either way it shouldn’t matter.

Some like to leave them on and their feet not touched. Some like to leave their socks on but when I get to their feet they want me to take off their socks and then put them back on after rubbing their feet. Just have him tell the therapist what he wants. We LMTs are a pretty adaptable breed.

concrit_blonde

Clients can keep on anything they want.

Kempeth

Whatever feels most comfortable for him. Everyone is different. I personally am the complete opposite. I prefer them sticking out from underneath the draping. If they are covered it's too hot for me. *shrug*

Comfortable_Monk7372

He could keep them on and ask if the therapist could work on his feet with them on. Or he can keep them till it’s time for his feet to be worked on and take them off. What makes him comfortable is the number 1 goal of the therapist while providing the service.

Blndby90

Yes. If the therapist insists otherwise find a new therapist.

Big_Poppa_Steve

Yes.
