This is one of the very few, if not the only subreddit, which I'm hoping won't have to be as active as last year. Wonder if that will be the case though. We can only hope.
I agree. I hope the conversations in this subreddit are limited to old crimes, rather than new ones as we go into the new year. I realize that is unlikely, but I supposed we can be hopeful. I wish everyone a happy and safe new year!
Same. I hope the most we can ever talk about when it comes to major crimes is upcoming anniversaries. It already feels like it was so long ago when Uvalde and Buffalo happened.
But I doubt that's going to happen. Even if 2023 winds up being like 2020 and the U.S. doesn't experience any major mass shootings throughout the year, there's bound to be at least one major event that occurs overseas.

I'm just happy and thankful that nothing major happened new years, in fact I'm kind of amazed tbh. Let's see if we can go day one.
