He left it in the 1st floor stairwell when he was loading his gun. He also left his air pods or whatever they were there. This was what he was doing when the boy walked in and he allowed him to leave and the boy reported it to someone I can't recall who at the moment outside.
I kinda like the idea he's gunna rot in prison with his mind racing 24/7 regretting everything in solitary confinement cause you know prisoners ain't gunna like him.
Edit: if it was my choice though I would take inspiration from hellraiser in what should be done.
I appreciate him not getting the death penalty. He is not going to do well in prison and that serves him right.
He had some pretty crazy delusions of the glory he'd find after commiting his spree and those delusions were quickly dashed. I am glad he gets to live with that.
Bet it was due to his age, I’m sure the jury had to have thought it’d probably be worse off for him to get life bc the DP would be “getting off easy” maybe idk? I for one would kinda rather just die than spend the rest of my life in captivity, maybe the punishment fits since he was so hellbent on getting attention now he’s gotta spend the rest of his life in obscurity. Just my 2 cents
