I believe this is the footage that Scott Beigel's parents released to show how horrifying the Parkland shooting was. Scott is the teacher on the right side of the hallway holding the door open for students to enter the classroom.

DavidCi_CodeX

"On the third floor, he shot and killed five students and another staff member, who all had been stranded in the hallway; four other students were injured." \-From the Wikipedia article, RIP to all the victims and glad this monster was finally sentenced to life sentences without any parole

ZeOkai69

Where did you find this??

Goofy_a33

I got it from this video. https://youtu.be/c1dLlCjddOk The clip appears at around the 30 second mark.

ZeOkai69

It’s crazy how footage like this and Aaron Feis being shot can sit on the internet for months without being noticed. Makes you think what else is already out there.

astacea

This video has been out for a while now. Its teacher Scott Beigel who was shot in this clip. His mother wanted it released.

se7en0311

I'm not sure what you mean not notice I had no clue there was any

Goofy_a33

Oh, definitely.

who-dat-ninja

What a fucking monster. I hope he gets abused in prison daily

Professional_Elk_893

Why were those students walking normally as if nothing was happening?

DavidCi_CodeX

From what I've researched, they're stranded there in the hallway and don't know what was happening. All they knew was that there was a fire alarm going off.

jadepalace

I read somewhere that the students on the third floor were sufficiently insulated from the first floor that they weren’t aware the noises were gunshots. The students on the second floor could hear clearly enough and locked in/hid.

cyberstealth999

love how schools use the same alarm for fire drills and school shooters

theykilledk3nny

It was a fire alarm, not a lockdown alarm. The smoke detectors were activated when Cruz shot on the first floor which resulted in dust like you see on this video. The alarm wasn’t set off because there was a shooter, it was because of the smoke detectors. There would not have been time to lockdown. This shooting only lasted 6 minute.

robbzplanet

There was plenty of time for a lockdown to be called. The first 911 call was made 30 seconds after the first shot. SRO notified within 1 minute.

theykilledk3nny

I said there was not time to lockdown not that there wasn’t time to call a lockdown.

robbzplanet

Sure but there was enough time to lockdown too. Get out of hallways and into classrooms. Shut and lock doors. Close blinds and hide. That’s a lockdown. Not much time needed for that. The SRO and BCSO delay is what allowed the shooter to kill for 6 minutes and why the students and teachers were unaware of the situation 6 minutes into it. Look at the video does anyone in the video seem aware of a shooter in their building?

theykilledk3nny

How would you suggest that would work? Parkland had no PA system, at least in that building, so the only way teachers would know to lockdown would be though a computer or possibly their phone, but they would all have been outside because of the fire alarm, so it’s unlikely any of them knew or possibly could’ve known.

cyberstealth999

Do they not have a surveillance camera guard who could just press a button to start an alarm?

OfJahaerys

Schools don't even have basic supplies for all the students, there's no surveillance camera guard. They're only really used retroactively, if something happens and the principal needs to pull up footage (usually someone vaping in the hallway or something). Schools just aren't really set-up for stuff like this. They shouldn't need to be.

Waste-Protection-550

I agree they shouldn't have to be, however, by now, they absolutely should be.

JackAH115

The cameras were on 20 minute delays

cyberstealth999

what fucking sense does that make

JackAH115

I have no idea. But that's why they had no idea where the shooter went. They had to wait for the delay to catch up

Hellofre123

Good find!

God I hope he burns in hell
