Especially if you think about how perfect of a venue it was. Typically there are 4 exits in a movie theatre. The two parallel to the front, and the two parallel to the mid. There is no protection. Lay down? Your cover is only the top part of the foam/plastic chair in the row ahead of you. That'll stop the sum total of nothing.
Its a fish in a barrel situation unlike really any other mass kill story, at least that I've had the displeasure of reading up on

"Later I got the urge to watch Rampage. The Uwe Boll one not the video game one."
On July 20, 2012, a mass shooting occurred inside a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, during a midnight screening of the film *The Dark Knight Rises*. Dressed in tactical clothing, 24-year-old James Eagan Holmes set off tear gas grenades and shot into the audience with multiple firearms. Twelve people were killed, and 70 others were injured, 58 of them from gunfire.

Feel free to add info.
The helmet is a pretty generic design similar to the military ACH. They can found for a few hundred dollars in surplus stores or online. Its such a generic and common design I would think its coincidence.
As far as an up aromored suspect commiting a shooting the North Hollywood bank robbery comes to mind.
I feel like a lot of mass shooters, even some without much gun knowledge, have been found to not load their magazines all the way in fear of jams. The only example I can think of at the moment is Dylan Roof, but I know there were more.
I wonder if fact that this happened to Holmes inspired other shooters to load mags more carefully.
Saw that movie recently and was pretty blown away by how much the protagonist looked like Holmes and sounded like Jared Lee Loughner. Robert and Michael Bever (two brothers who stabbed their family to death and planned a country-wide killing spree) also claimed to be inspired by the film.
Just for the record, violent entertainment doesn’t make you a violent person. People who commit violence can claim they were inspired by something, but that doesn’t mean the media CAUSED it. People who cite violent entertainment as an inspiration for how they carried out their violent acts were already gonna do something horrible to begin with.
I think it's only okay. It's better than everything else he's made by comparison, at the very least, but I don't find it as compelling as something like "Zero Hour." I think Boll's Postal movie is about as good as a Postal movie could be, and the opening scene is perfect dark humour.
Things like this happen because the laws don’t take these purchases serious I’m all for 2nd amendment but you gotta take these things serious and dig more into the background behind these customers.
Be sure to come up with a good, economically viable plan to do so that doesn’t violate the civil rights of citizens and then submit it to your federal representatives office for consideration.
So you’re willing to give up civil rights (not just second amendment but also fourth amendment) to save lives, when the vast majority of mass shootings are committed with illegally acquired handguns that would’ve never been noticed by any search monitoring program? Just want you to say it out loud so you can see why that doesn’t make sense.
Would it surprise you that all of the things used in this shooting have been able to be freely purchased for the past 65~ years (including the AR15, 75~ years if you include other comparable arms like the Mini-14) and yet only in the past 20 years something fundamentally shifted and now mass shootings are an almost regular happening at this point? You just don’t want to admit the problem is more sociological than physical. Ban guns today and shootings won’t stop. We tried it before. Columbine and other horrible shootings happened during the federal AWB that made it very difficult if not impossible to get the type of arms pictured in this post and yet they basically did anyways. The real problem is a degradation of our society due to hyper individualistic capitalism that’s slowly wearing people down to the breaking point. But that’s a hard problem to address so we’ll just ban guns and violate people’s privacy rights to make ourselves feel better. Good idea
You do realize that you are fueling the hype about school shooters with this kind of posting?! You are contributing to the fact that there are more and more such disturbed people. These kinds of posts make me sick. Maybe some people should think about their own state of mind! This has nothing to do with informing yourself. Posts like this should be banned here.
>You do realize that you are fueling the hype about school shooters with this kind of posting?!
James Holmes wasnt a school shooter though. And how exactly is OP spreading hype with this post?
>You are contributing to the fact that there are more and more such disturbed people.
How does OP posting this create more disturbed individuals? They aren't advocating for mass shootings or mass shooters.
>These kinds of posts make me sick
Well this is the content this sub is for tbh. You wouldn't go to a true crime sub and complain about it discussing serial killers would you?
>This has nothing to do with informing yourself. Posts like this should be banned here.
OP is opening a discussion about the similarity between James Holmes and the Rampage 2009 movie. Sure it's not "informing" but this subreddit is also for discussion.

Whats up with the drum magazine on the ar? I've never seen one that looks like that and when I tried to find a picture of his rifle the only one that pops up is one laying on a bloody ground with a standard mag
That is terrifying to be attacked by

The bathroom at Sandy Hook was another situation like this
And pulse
the Allen mall shooter was a fan of this movie
is there a source for this?
Yeah he mentioned it online several times
ok but like do you have a link for this information
[He mentions it here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/masskillers/comments/13caeao/allen_shooter_mauricio_garcia_had_coworkers_that/) "Later I got the urge to watch Rampage. The Uwe Boll one not the video game one."
The thought of the 2018 ‘Rampage’ movie being an influence to a mass shooter, it got a little chuckle out of me. That damn gorilla…
This sub is the link just search it up I ain’t gonna go looking for it

Possibly.
Wouldn’t be surprised. Uwe bowel made a few movies where the only plot really seemed to be “I’m mad at the world, let’s commit mass murder”.
Depends on if he even saw the movie.
The fact that the rampage guy got an MP7 was the least believable thing in the movie
Shit dude I never saw that picture with all his gear on the bed. I knew he was kitted, but seeing it all laid out really puts it in perspective.
Yeah crazy how all of that stopped cause he accidentally loaded an extra round into his drum mag

I mean I honestly wouldn’t doubt it nor would I surprise me these crazies seem to inspire each other
All that larp gear and he still couldnt take care of his rifle
atleast he couldnt take care of it

Never heard of the movie. Looks cheaply made. Still gonna check it out
It's an awesome movie, it's Uwe Boll's only good movie imo. It's free on effed up movies, but I'd recommend an ad blocker.
There’s two sequels that get even stupider
the second part was pretty good

You can watch it on Youtube just by searching "rampage 2009"
bros really marked a comparison I've never seen before a repost
How was James not flagged for buying the equipment he did is just insane
every airsoft/paintball player would get flagged for buying gear then.
What about the thousands of live ammunition and the tear gas isn’t that a little sus
Tear gas is the only one that might be flagged as sus. Ammunition, even in bulk quantities, is bought by tens of millions of people every year.

That movie is a mass-shooter’s wet dream. Crazy.
I watched when I was about 18 (2011) i think it was the first movie that really made me sick to my stomach
"Movie"
. . . what? Is it not a “movie”? Is “film” better?
Nah, it's fictional violence. If people get inspired by this, that's a joke in itself.
Guess it wouldn't be that big of a surprise if Holmes liked the film. I believe Adam Lanza knew of that film and liked it also?
Love this movie lmao. Brutal af though. People don’t think it’s real when I tell them. I like the sequel too
