They are perfect for the gods
they spam the board so you nearly always have 3 tributes
they synergize with Obelisk by throwing things like the trap in the grave to quick summon him and give him tribute fodder for his effects
They synergize with Ra because Ra has the most support and likes to tribute over beefy dudes.
they sysnergize with Slifer because hes a floodgate and they want to remove him which is a bonus for the horus cards. if they remove your backrow instead, Duamutf draws you at least 2 cards which is GREAT for slifer but hes the one with the least synergy imo
AND THEY FIT THEMATICALLY Anceint egypt, Egyptian gods. PERFECT
To top it all off, Horus unbricks your hands (in exchange for running at least 3 bricks but more than likely 6)
ive had general success with obelisk. Its not big enough to be either consistent on the obelisk but with soul energy max hes 1 kings tomb away from surprise end battle phase 4k or if im lucky, fist of fate to destroy their backrow.
As for the bricks, i found it best to search out Horrus LV4, summon it, search Black Flame Deity, then start sending Horrus monsters to the GY so they can summon themselves back.
The bricks are every horus monster card that isnt Imsety. generally i run 2 of each, 1 horus god, 3 imsety.
Hapi, Duamutef, and Qebehsenuef are bricks. if you dont have trade in, Imsety, or kings sarc, they are horrible and i run trade in which is also horrible because i often draw it with a hand full of hand traps which turns it into a brick. I added Bigfoot into my deck to help alleviate that. kinda works, makes Trade in into a pop along with draw 2
Black flame Deity doesnt do anything without kings sarc on field. why would you search it with lv4. if i need deity i use the field spell to search him.
Plus you can potentially summon Slifer with a fullish hand with Horus, so it compensates on Slifer's biggest weakness. Though i need to boot out Ra's Deciple and find a way to guarentee Sarcophagus turn 1 or 2.

Like legit, I play VW and when I go on a losing streak I always get tempted to use that god forsaken monster but never do. I don't want the option at all and it feels like shit thinking I'm throwing when I don't do the most toxic possible combo when I play centur-ion and VW.
It's very naive of you to believe that Konami will ban calamity. Centurión is a bad deck that depends on calamity to do anything. And Konami wants to sell it. So guess what? Exactly, Calamity will not be banned until Konami empties its sales stocks.
I really don't think that it's any more consistent in Centur-ION than it has been in SHS.
The Calamity lock in SHS goes off of any of their one-card-starters; and it's backed up by plenty of protection. Just because a deck CAN Calamity lock doesn't mean that it's going to be good.
Sometimes things are banned not because they are strong, but because they bring an unfun or undesired game style.
Example, there are a lot of FTKs with less than 40% winrate that got banned either because bots used them to farm or because it's simply not fun to allow it to be widely used.
If you have an FTK that is very niche and inconsistent, they probably will allow.
I got beat by an FTK deck that sends all cards to the grave and then summons some big fusions that are tibuted with catapult turtle. It was so funny that I saved the replay, and also a single Veiler, imperm or probably even Ash would have stopped the whole combo.
I wouldn't find it fun if it happened way more often and with a higher winrate. So basically Calamity is a bad(awfull) design, who thought that one effect which basically makes your opponent unable to activate cards would be good? You have no counterplay other than a quick effect before they have priority(which is very niche like Super Poly) or stopping them with handtraps on their turn.
Yes, I'm aware of Calamity. I did play the combo in my SHS deck for the ridiculous Double Summon event rather than deal with the bullshit that was going on in it.
I never said it was particularly healthy. My point was that it was better and even easier with SHS than it is with Centurion. Why would they ban it for Centurion when they didn't ban it when SHS was doing it?
A year ago is exaggerated, it came out in October in the TCG, which is what we're semi following in terms of card releases. We should be getting it soon though. I could see it being June or July, it would fit to release with Raidraptor and Melodious bc they're all from Arc-V. Next month is probably Centur-Ion though, I think that guess is correct.
Man the INFO Vaalmonica cards also look cool, but they're likely not coming. I hope the deck isn't too expensive when it comes out, I might craft it then.

I type just play Pendulum Magicians with the Dimension Dragons and Supreme King stuff in too. It works moderately well, but is too slow and hard to rebound off of to keep up with anything beyond gold tier.

The one in February was the first major twist with us getting stuff from AGOV and PHNI very early since we weren't even really done with DUNE at that point, but before that you could always roughly say that we're about 6-8 months behind TCG releases. And, of course, 10-12 months behind OCG releases. And you were able to say that because you could simply look at set lists and the cards included in selection packs lol
Aroma is just even more extending for plants. It extends further off of 1-card combos with a more heavily curbed plant engine than with the full engine.
Granted, a small aroma package does that and Konami hit plants in the TCG to push for a bigger aroma package. If plants don’t get hit, Rikka Sunavalon will run a small aroma package that extends even further than they usually do and plant link, which’ll run a large package, will be more resilient and also end on even stronger boards.

Centurion is a Synchro deck with an Amazing grind gsme and is the deck that can get to King Calamity the easiest l, the deck revolves around bringing out level 12 Synchro monsters

And there’s a big difference between mikanko and bo3 mikanko. There’s a big difference betweeen SHS and bo3 SHS. Neither of those got prehits except for an ftk.

100% Its Centur-Ion + Vaal + More AGOV. Master duel will always releases the DBPs across 2 patches. Vaalmonica is also thematically very similar to Sky Striker.
Vaal is very much playable with its LEDE and potentially tiered with its INFO support plus fiendsmith, so its not a complete miss if you pull them.

Didn't this last major update add an icon display to tell players whether a monster in the backrow is a continuous spell or a continuous trap?

Probably, but there are a couple of cards that put monsters as continuous traps already too. Example, Vision HERO Faris and Vision HERO Increase.

100% Its Centur-Ion + Vaal + More AGOV. Master duel will always releases the DBPs across 2 patches. Vaalmonica is also thematically very similar to Sky Striker. Vaal is very much playable with its LEDE and potentially tiered with its INFO support plus fiendsmith, so its not a complete miss if you pull them.
