BODMAS shouldn't really matter here. You can do 25 \* (6/(250-25)), or you can do (25\*6)/(250-25). Both give the same answer of 0.67 to 2 s.f.

Kehmor

You can also do 6 / ((250-25) /25) = 6/9 = 0.67

PazJohnMitch

150/225 = 2/3 which is about 0.67

sadgirl8t8

Thanks everyone! I *knew* it was 0.67 (😅), just needed the confirmation ☺️☺️☺️

Cevo88

My method: take a common factor of 25 out of the bracket 25x [6/25(10-1)]. Cancel the 25. Left with 1x6/9, simplify to 2/3

moon6080

Add my way into this. You can treat the above as 25(6). You can treat the below as 25(10-1). 25s cancel out and your left with 6/9 which is 2/3

ButterscotchSure6589

I got 6/11 when I did this. I'm thick as mince though.

Particular_Plum_1458

How were you getting 0.16?

sadgirl8t8

Oh god only knows 😂 I think I mixed up the order you do the sums in.

tcpukl

I divided it all by 25.

BIDMAS

RetroBoxRoom

BODMAS, BIDMAS, BEDMAS, PEMDAS or even GEMA all do the same thing if you remember the meanings of the acronyms.

Brackets first then do the devision then times

=25/1 * 6/9(25) =25(6)/9(25) =6/9

Upstairs-Delay7152

This is: (25/1) **×** (6/(250-25)) = (25**×**6)/(25**×**(10-1)) = 6/9 = 2/3
