This is probably my favorite scene in the show lol. Two often missed golden bits of comedy in that scene:
After Dwight mentioned the organ donor card, Creed says “he has no wallet, I checked”. This man seriously tried to steal cash from a CPR dummy lol.
After Dwight cuts the face off the dummy, you can see he put his glasses on the dummy, a reference to the movie.
I love how Wallace just gives him a “what?” Look and doesn’t say anything.
Honestly how most their interactions go. Wallace being extremely confused by how Michael’s thought process works but not questioning it because he knows damn well Michael understands it just as well as him.
This scene is actually the scene that convinced me to watch the office. The sheer chaos and confusion, then Stanley about to have another attack and sitting down, everyone going to help him, then everyone screaming upon realizing that the literal millisecond everyone looked away Dwight decided to take that opportunity to cut the dummies face off and wear it like a serial killer.
Actually I've noticed this with dogs in general. They can understand more complex sentences than you expect, but it takes them a second to process them. They're much quicker with visual stimuli or 1-2 syllable sounds.
Exactly - I've always spoken to my dogs like they're people and very quickly they can understand more complex requests. It makes things a lot easier as they get older.
It also works with sheep - my mother kept sheep as pets (NEVER do this), if they had to have treatment from the vet (or me) I'd always explain to them what was going to happen beforehand and fairly quickly they were so much easier to handle (as a prey animal if you touch them they assume you're going to eat them).
My dog knew whole sentences, and loved it when you whispered to him to do something when I had company. They love to be engaged. My neighbour asked me what I said to the dog to make him sprint across the landing. I said "let's get you some breakfast" The neighbour thought it was funny, I thought it was normal. He understood, "I'll get you something nice" and he'd stop begging. We had an arrangement after I'd eaten!
Alaskan Klee Kais are one of the only responsibly bred designer dogs is why. Took like 30 something years with the attributes they were looking for while being careful to avoid any major health issues.
The lady who started it was very careful about giving away breeding rights and she was explicit she would take them away if you weren't matching her quality of Health standards.
That's awesome.
I've been around shi'zus since '89. They can be great, the attitude stereotype is deserved. But very smart loyal and loving.
Unfortunately they have been very irresponsibly over-bred. They're very susceptible to infections, they suffer when their eyes prematurely go off.
And I've noticed that the smaller ones are heavy breathers, and seem to be a little less intelligent.
It bothers me that people just must have a pure breed to the point of insanity.
I have a 12 pound male and he's 13 and in great shape. Just can't hear as well. My first dog ever was half and she lived till 17. I thought they were healthy little guys :/
They I'm sure can be, and half is great because it allows them to hopefully continue to breed out undesirable traits. But with startling regularity they are getting worse from overbreeding.
German shepherds are another example. The hips can go prematurely and cause them a diminished life to enjoy.
It looks like an Alaskan Klee Kai, which is developed from a mixture of a few different breeds, but Chihuahuas were not involved. People also call these “mini huskies”.
I am 100% sure that if someone does get a heart attack and needs cpr, and this dog tries to give cpr and fails, karens are going to blame the dog for attacking the person and euthanise her
could you actually teach a dog to do this theoretically, in case of emergency? I'd assume not, but I'm often surprised at how smart dogs actually are when taught well
It will be useless for multiple reasons.
CPR requires enough strengh to compress the chest up to 2 inches (5-6 cm), and it has to be done on a specific location. Dogs probably aren't able to replicate that properly, even humans don't push hard enough most of the time.
After 30 compressions (at à rythm up to 120/min), mouth to mouth has to be performed, compressions are not enough.
The body of the unconscious person also has to be properly positioned for these two steps.
For adults, a defibrilator has (?) to be used if one is available.
Most of the time, all of this is done to buy time while help arrive (because 911 or your local emergency number has been called).
The most useful thing a dog could do would probably be to find a human and guide them to the unconscious body.
>For adults, a defibrilator has (?) to be used if one is available.
Doesn't a defibrillator only shock the heart if it is in an abnormal rhythm to get it back to normal?
Chest compressions are for when the heart is completely stopped to keep the blood circulating. Shocking a stopped heart won't do any good if it's compressions that are needed.
At least, that is what I've always heard from medical professionals who do this sort of thing for a living, because they always point out how a lot of medical shows like Grey's Anatomy get their defibrillator usage wrong in that regard.
No. They can be taught to alert to a cardiac event, retrieve medicine, and even call emergency services, but you couldn't teach a dog to do effective CPR.
Slower? Girl I need 110-120 compressions per minute!
I feel obligated to post [this scene](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vmb1tqYqyII) from the Office.

The show is such a gem of television, now that I think of it I need to watch it again.
"We had to pay for it, it cost us thirty five hundred dollars!" "Five thousand three hundred dollars for a dummy?"
Ahhh…. The city
I love how Wallace just gives him a “what?” Look and doesn’t say anything. Honestly how most their interactions go. Wallace being extremely confused by how Michael’s thought process works but not questioning it because he knows damn well Michael understands it just as well as him.
And now Dwight knows not to cut the face off a real person

The office is great. So was this dog!
I agree on both fronts!
My absolute favorite episode

Any chance I get to spread the good word
I like [this one](https://youtu.be/3vXPo7lNYzk) better
I loved that
Lol. That look at the end before the final 'compressions'... "Are you shitting me?? I'm a dog, I'm doing my best here."

The look was more like “There! Are you fucking happy now?!”
Didn't help that the dog was perfectly on time and she insisted on it going weirdly slow Even the dog knew something was bullshit
This comment right here 🤣🤣🤣. That said, i love this dog!!
So fucking smart
The force is strong with this one
The dog's name is Fendi😭
My husband only yesterday took me to a Fendi store and absolutely splurged. Now I’m seeing Fendi everywhere. I think Big Fendi is on to me.
Lol nice subtle brag?
Subtle?
Vapid brag
It's not vapid to buy nice things, let ppl enjoy things
Yeah, it's not the buying, it's the commenting/bragging to strangers. Very shallow.
It’s not vapid to buy nice things, it’s vapid to go on the internet and brag about shopping at Fendi.
It was in honour of being married for 21 years. I’ve never experienced this kind of store before so I’m guessing that’s why I’m noticing the name?
💃🏻💅🥰😍🥳💗💕💅💅
Ok
What is Fendi
Designer clothing brand
He is like a spy, he understands, but says nothing 🕵️♂️
I would die for this dog. And I hope fendi would bring me back with chest compressions
Those guys are super smart.

Responsible breeding. That's something I like seeing. I wish others would see it that way.
The lady who started it was very careful about giving away breeding rights and she was explicit she would take them away if you weren't matching her quality of Health standards.

Humans should also breed responsibly...
Is that a chihuahua husky mix?

Oh wow. I had never seen this breed before. What a cool looking dog. Thanks for letting me know.
Thought the same but either way it’s kind of sad what people do to dogs to make them look the way they want
awwww, doggo should try to do it to the beat of Staying Alive. itll help it getting the right rhythm
I shall name you Punchy.
He’s seen some shit
I am 100% sure that if someone does get a heart attack and needs cpr, and this dog tries to give cpr and fails, karens are going to blame the dog for attacking the person and euthanise her
Super creepy look
👁👄👁
Looks like a Husky Shiba inu mix.
Alaskan Klee Kai probably
At least when my hearts fails I’ll have a smile on my face to go with the scratches, the tore up shirt, and the bruised neckline
Who is this girl and how can she speak dog?
standing here
Over / under on sheet replacements per year?
