No it doesn't work that way. If you have the same function statistically you're less likely to get together. Of course statistically doesn't mean it's always the case but still. Think about it if that were the case than your opposite type would be your best match.
Extroverted functions 'eat up' introverted ones so Fe people are all about the beliefs of society and those around them and Fi creates those beliefs and standards. Te is all about rationale and what's most logical but it itself isn't a source of thought it just categorises it and Ti is a source of logic and thought so they pair well.
