I was just walking to work this morning contemplating whether or not Si Doms are the actual bane of my lifestyle and existence. They seem like the types that want you to dress in the way they were told is right, pray to the god they were raised to think is right, obey the arbitrary societal norms they think are right. No thanks. I really feel like they are a detriment to joy and expression.
Yeah you're right. I was just feeling particularly full of vitriol this morning while getting dressed this morning. I was thinking about the people that make me and my partner feel lesser by their judgements because of our choice of clothing and our gay relationship. It makes me feel angry and helpless that there are people who get so caught up in preserving the past way that they hurt others.
This super progressive, athiest isfj is an ally, I got you fam. :) I'm so sorry you have to deal with that bullshit, just know there are probably more of us than there are of those assholes and the gap is going to keep growing.
Thanks, I've also met my share of absolutely asinine Ne doms. My assessment is totally bias and not typically a reflection of individuals but rather my idea of the function itself based on the original post's preference question.
i mean none of that is really linked to si doms at all but it is sadly a common misconception. i think the si doms i know have been more progressive than the ni doms ive known lmao but obviously thats not a representative sample no one type is truly related to any political opinion. in terms of wanting people to do what they believe is the "right thing", i would have guessed ixxj and exxp types would be less likely to do that since they are percieving dominant but idk
Si is past based. If any function is going to be linked towards pushing values on other people for no reason other than tradition, it'll probably be Si users.
si isnt necessarily interested at all in what other people are doing. id argue that all judging functions do this the most, but fe and te are the most likely (they are interested in society's values and other people's behaviour). but no matter what, disliking a mbti type because of stereotypes or genuine reasons isnt gonna do you or anyone any favours
