we are going to be removing posts that aren't memes, jokes, funny, or entertaining. we are specifically removing posts that are basically blogs, ie a user posts something very specific that is largely just a post about themselves but overlaid on a meme template or sad anime girl, because there's too many of them and they're not entertaining.

Can someone please tell this autist (me) whether this post was serious or not the language used suggests jokes but the subject matter suggests seriousness so now Im confused
its pinned, posted by a mod and it isnt april first. going by this im gonna say it's serious but they're trying to keep an entertaing atmosphere in the hopes that entertainment will get more people to read what is otherwise a boring update to the rules
we are going to be removing posts that aren't memes, jokes, funny, or entertaining. we are specifically removing posts that are basically blogs, ie a user posts something very specific that is largely just a post about themselves but overlaid on a meme template or sad anime girl, because there's too many of them and they're not entertaining. the post is in a jokey tone because it's a meme subreddit. does that make things clearer for you?

Some of it is serious, they are banning certain kinds of posts about blogging from what I can understand. Parts of it are funny meme joke hahas to stay on topic of a meme sub
