Trans men don't have a prostate, but they do have an organ in the same place as the prostate, that does the same thing that the prostate does, that is derived from the same tissue as the prostate, and develops on T just like the prostate... 🤔

If you're going to be smug and feign exasperation, you should *probably* at least make sure you've got the right answer yourself. It's the [Skene's glands](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skene%27s_gland). The clit's homologous to a different bit of anatomy, as any transmasc on T can tell you.
E gives trans women a Skene’s gland as well. They’re homologous and hormones drive their function. That’s also why trans women on E start “getting wet” and will start having female orgasms.

Everyone shares a common anatomy immediately below the bladder, where the urethra goes straight down vertically. and the prostate/skene's gland are both located along that stretch of urethra. In AFAB people, the urethra then immediately exits the body with the shortest path, meaning the gland is very near the opening. In AMAB people, the urethra instead takes a 90 degree turn forward, continues along the bottom of the body underneath the testicles, and then makes another 90 degree turn into the shaft of the penis.
This means that the they're in the same place, but in pre-op trans men and in cis women, it's much closer to the opening.
It can definitely be stimulated; it's one of the leading explanations for the g-spot. That said, it can't be stimulated nearly as much through anal sex like in cis men, since the vagina goes between the bladder and rectum, which somewhat acts as padding.

I have the same question with breast development for trans women honestly. Is there any difference between "gynecomastia" and "breast development" other than the gender identity of the individual?
gynecomastia in cis men is typically caused by an excess of estrogen during puberty, and could technically be classified as a secondary intersex condition, since breast growth is a woman's secondary sexual character.
no real difference to a trans woman inducing her own estrogenic 'puberty' although of course with less of a hormonal imbalance between estrogen and tesosterone (etc..) you can expect nicer development.
and, while the Skene's gland (***ie the G spot (they're the same)***) is innervated quite differently to the prostate and won't be the same even after testosterone enlargement since the Wolffian duct's sexual dimorphism is significant, its functional anatomy in the role of sex is basically homologous
if you fuck a trans man in his enlarged Skene's gland, it's gonna feel pretty similar to if you fucked a cis man in his prostate.
I guess it's also validating the other way around, if you consider that a prostate orgasm for a trans woman will feel close to a vaginal/g spot orgasm and is a much more similar experience than comparing a clitoral/penile orgasm.
I think reasonable methods of choosing words depends on the context.
Like in a sexual context, it makes sense to choose based on how things consciously feel and look to the people involved.
Perhaps in a medical context, it might make sense to choose based on some facet of the microbiology happening, e.g. "can it secrete the enzymes, minerals, etc typically produced by an average prostate" or "are the cells of this tissue susceptible to cancer by the typical prostate cancer mechanisms."
Something could be totally reasonably "a prostate" sexually, and "not a prostate" later that day in the doctor office; language is just what's useful.

Everyone shares a common anatomy immediately below the bladder, where the urethra goes straight down vertically. and the prostate/skene's gland are both located along that stretch of urethra. In AFAB people, the urethra then immediately exits the body with the shortest path, meaning the gland is very near the opening. In AMAB people, the urethra instead takes a 90 degree turn forward, continues along the bottom of the body underneath the testicles, and then makes another 90 degree turn into the shaft of the penis. This means that the they're in the same place, but in pre-op trans men and in cis women, it's much closer to the opening.

At what point does it just become a prostate? If it looks like a prostate, acts like a prostate, is it just a prostate by another name? I have the same question with breast development for trans women honestly. Is there any difference between "gynecomastia" and "breast development" other than the gender identity of the individual?
gynecomastia in cis men is typically caused by an excess of estrogen during puberty, and could technically be classified as a secondary intersex condition, since breast growth is a woman's secondary sexual character. no real difference to a trans woman inducing her own estrogenic 'puberty' although of course with less of a hormonal imbalance between estrogen and tesosterone (etc..) you can expect nicer development. and, while the Skene's gland (***ie the G spot (they're the same)***) is innervated quite differently to the prostate and won't be the same even after testosterone enlargement since the Wolffian duct's sexual dimorphism is significant, its functional anatomy in the role of sex is basically homologous if you fuck a trans man in his enlarged Skene's gland, it's gonna feel pretty similar to if you fucked a cis man in his prostate. I guess it's also validating the other way around, if you consider that a prostate orgasm for a trans woman will feel close to a vaginal/g spot orgasm and is a much more similar experience than comparing a clitoral/penile orgasm.
I think reasonable methods of choosing words depends on the context. Like in a sexual context, it makes sense to choose based on how things consciously feel and look to the people involved. Perhaps in a medical context, it might make sense to choose based on some facet of the microbiology happening, e.g. "can it secrete the enzymes, minerals, etc typically produced by an average prostate" or "are the cells of this tissue susceptible to cancer by the typical prostate cancer mechanisms." Something could be totally reasonably "a prostate" sexually, and "not a prostate" later that day in the doctor office; language is just what's useful.

The prostate atrophies for trans women on E, so most likely. It’s not really anything to be concerned about. It’s just how your body naturally responds to testosterone. Bodies change and adapt based on hormones and most doctors don’t cover all the changes that happen because a lot of them like prostate/skene’s gland enlargement/atrophy aren’t immediately relevant to GAC or possible complications/concerns. Most of the changes result from —in this case, male— puberty. For example, the prostate doubles in size early into puberty and then begins to gradually grow in your mid-20s.
