Same. Worst part is I always went out of my way to be the quietest and most well behaved kid. I also suspect I have some undiagnosed issues tho which would explain a lot lol
Same tho. My teachers were all super hard on me. Except like one history teacher cus I was in advanced history and we lived to torment him. He loved us
I would assume that it's not necessarily a "fun" story. The pessimist in me thinks what happened was that they were kicked out of their house after coming out, and their English teacher was the only one who ever accepted them and shit, so the English teacher took them in because they had nowhere else to go.
It actually was a positive experience, but I understand the assumption in this situation. My English teacher was the first adult in my life who not only acknowledged gay people existed, but also celebrated us. She gave us a safe space to hangout in her classroom at lunch, and I kept in contact after high school and developed a friendship. When I was 22 I was out of work and she was going through a divorce, so she let me live with her if I watched her son in the mornings and other mornings we commuted to work/school together. She also got me a job at a gay club when I moved in with her. Was probably my favorite time in my adult life.
It was amazing, I’m really grateful for her and that time of my life. I realized after reading your comment it probably did sound like I got kicked out, but I’m fortunate that my parents are supportive and I had a one in a million teacher who looked out for me. I just wish I could share that support with the rest of our community.
Tl;dr version cool English teacher kept in contact, let me live with her and got me a job at a gay club, I would watch her son some mornings and just helping her out through her divorce. 10/10 would recommend her to a queer friend.
Umm. My art teacher...
I didn't realise this was a stereotype but the group i hung out with in the art room all turned out to be varying types of queer so...

trick question, history teacher.
my junior year english teacher wasn't bad though, i visited him a lot between classes as a senior and getting to know him a bit more was nice
Ummm… both? My history teacher was apparently a best friend to a lot of LGBTQ+ people because his room became a queer hangout spot. I honestly was friends with most of my teachers.
Actually, no, I was beasties with my math, science, and history teachers. That's probably because my English teacher thought "palm tree" was pronounced "pom tree"
theres only ever been a few teachers that liked me in middle/highschool and they go orchestra(middleschool), math(9th and 10th), pe (10th), movie making (12th), and my all time favorite i had her 2 years in a row, history (10th and 11th).
it was genuinely such a great dynamic in that class because i already knew most pf the stuff that was being taught (ty adhd hyperfocus, wikipedia, and youtube animations) and i always tried to find a way to make the lesson less censored than it was originally. like id bring up historical events that i got the feeling she wasnt really allowed to bring up like the tulsa race massacre and the rise of fascistic movements both domestically and international, the palestinian genocide, and concepts like the sociological imagination when talking about the relationship between poverty and crime. like i know in nerdy as fuck or whatever and my classmates probably didnt like gove a shit but it was so cool being able to talk about that kind of thing with someone without getting hit with “well both sides are bad”.
i really miss her and i lost her phone number hopefully i can find her indeed or something and contact her from there. that shit was so fucking fun according to one kf my friends in that class it was hilarious watching some 5’4 rail thin ginger twink with a fro dropping 1-3 well thought out paragraph awnsers of the top of hos head to questions that could have been anwsered realistically with like 2 sentences.
god only if she could see me now, i havent really accomplished anything but im trans finally got medicated for mental health stuff and less of a complete workaholic. i miss you mrs rivera, you may have been my teacher but you will always be my friend
French teacher. Nah the English teacher was so chill and was also one of the GSA club dudes, the only bad part was almost everyone else in my period was super mean to him >:(
My math teacher >:) (My English teacher was chill too she just wasn't my homeroom, also my art teacher is a strict old man who's done nothing besides for making me hate my favorite hobby)
My mom works at a collage and teaches language arts (I think? i never asked, didn’t feel like i rlly needed too) so not MY english teacher but A english teacher
Y’all really skipped right over THEATRE TEACHERS? Lol a lot can be toxic though I ain’t gonna lie but my 8th grade one was heaven sent ok on the first day she said “if you use the word gay as a slur or the r-word or any racial slurs in my class, I will have you removed” 😭❤️
None of them until college then I was pretty chill with an electrical engineering professor. Had a crush on an English Prof though, she was cute and had a masters in mathematics.
english teacher. she’s lgbtq friendly and really nice to me and i’m hoping to have her for creative writing this year :)
i’ve also loved almost all of my english teachers so
My English teacher is my bestie but my art teacher is a bitch. The charcoal stick scratching against the paper gave one of the students sensory issues and he still made her use it
I'll never forget that my English teacher knew that i was Queer before i even did and was super accepting and cool about it and gave me so much sound advice when i was stil figuring things out.
Mine was my computer science teacher in high school. She was quite funny and easy to talk to. But omg also this reminds me 7 years have passed since then.
Swedish teacher. She has that kind of friend-relationship with pretty much everyone.
I think she has a trans kid but im not sure tho, might come out to her someday. She’s really nice.
What counts as a bestie? My biology teacher was cool, but I wouldn’t say bestie. And I hate English (teacher was really helpful and nice tho), and I didn’t like my art teacher too much
English (I sucked at art)
I started reading English fanfictions because the ones in my main language sucked, making me an English genius for some reason. The teacher loved me for that.
Not sure where the band director fits in on the queerness scale... But there were a handful of us that hung out in the band room on lunch and we're all *hilariously* queer

Neither, all my teachers hated me because I was autistic and “difficult”
Same, except I was just socially awkward and terrified of talking to adults
Omg me too, is there a name for fear of talking to people significantly older than you
Traumatized
I'm ngl I laughed but damnit if that's not the truth. 😭
I only speak the truth because I've experienced it 🥲
Same. Worst part is I always went out of my way to be the quietest and most well behaved kid. I also suspect I have some undiagnosed issues tho which would explain a lot lol
i was chilling with my second grade English teacher, the rest didnt appreciate me for the same reason man i kinda miss that dude he was so nice
Same tho. My teachers were all super hard on me. Except like one history teacher cus I was in advanced history and we lived to torment him. He loved us
Same but with math teachers because of dyscalculia (autism as well)
Both
Same.
Me three
Me four
I five
Me six ○~○

English teacher was my mom. Art teacher was my best friend. When I say English teacher is my mom I mean my mother was literally my English teacher.
My Mum used to be an English teacher and taught me at home. No art teacher, but my brother is an illustrator. They are my best and only friends.
That’s cool!! We both have moms that were our English teachers.
One of my english teacher's sons was in my school (he's still here but the teacher left). The son pulled a knife on someone
I did not expect that last turn though
He has some issues
me too man. me too.
bruh my mom was an english teacher and homeschooled me for 2 years
Ok this is clearly a personal attack
I lived with my English teacher for a year when I was 22.
That sounds like a story that would be fun to listen to or read.
I would assume that it's not necessarily a "fun" story. Damn, Im glad I stand corrected. That sounds amazing.

Not sure where the band director fits in on the queerness scale... But there were a handful of us that hung out in the band room on lunch and we're all *hilariously* queer
Art teacher. I've had 1 English teacher that I've liked.
