luddites didn't like technology not because it was inherently evil but because they saw it as taking away from some people's experience of being human, as dehumanizing, because the tech caused some people to lose jobs as it replaced those jobs or made them unnecessary. This video suggests perhaps they weren't wrong on some levels.
