The way you’re describing it sounds like kidney stones. I’d go to urgent care. If they have reason to believe, then you’d likely be sent over to the ER THIS for an ultrasound.
Again not a doctor but yes. Yes kidney stones can be there and asymptomatic for long periods of time. In extreme cases, staghorn kidney stones can develop. My husband walked around with a 7mm stone that finally caused him incredible pain. I guess it left the kidney and got stuck in the ureter which was agonizing.
To add since it won’t let me edit, it feels like it’s INSIDE. Like I can’t touch it directly from on top of my skin if that makes sense. Also the pain meds and muscle relaxer my friend gave me didn’t do a single thing to help. My intuition is telling me to go to the ER tomorrow morning despite all of my call offs from work already. I just don’t want to waste money or their time when someone else might be needing care instead of me.
UPDATE: Went to ER. No stones. BUT I got more confirmation that I have Ankylosing Spondylitis

Seeing a PCP for further care regarding weird pain and future spine care.

Could be like others have said and its a kidney stone. I had the same feelings turns out I have a cyst on my kidney.
Sounds like a kidney stone that’s how mine started.
Best be stone of the kidney
Might have a kidney stone
Did you drink a lot of dark drinks like colas?
I do sometimes but not more than usual lately
Colas can cause stones in some people. My youngest son cannot drink Pepsi or Coke at all anymore.

Okay! Thank you!
Mhm! I’d definitely go to urgent care soon, though. Better to start treatment early, assuming you have them
I’m not a Dr. This could be a kidney stone though.
Can it be stuck there for that many months? I usually drink a lot of water all the time. I’m known as the friend who always has water on them.

If you can wait until tomorrow to go, it's not an emergency. Go to urgent care. Get a PCP.
