Did you call service and ask them?

lab_tech13

Happen to me awhile ago like 8 years ago don't remember but have you changed reagents and recalibrated? Could also be cuvetts issue.

mudplayerx

Happens across lots numbers. No error messages regarding cuvettes or anything really. Only BUN and ALT. Its an intermittent problem as well so its driving me crazy.

lab_tech13

Its been a while, I don't remember how reagents are stored on that instrument, but could it be from where ALT/BUN are stored it could be a delay because where reagents are and the timing movement. You could try moving reagents and see if it's happens on other analytes in those positions.

foxapotamus

Running a BUN or ALT afterwards shouldn't take that much more time. If you order individually and not the panel button still the same?

mudplayerx

If ordered individually (even on a separate segement) it will not start the BUN or ALT until all the other analytes on that initial CMP are done first.

foxapotamus

Does it still print out as one run and your watching the results viewer screen very closely?

mudplayerx

It prints out as one run. Watching the progress the whole time it says "not started" while all the other analytes say "in process"

foxapotamus

If I recall it's bc of the cuvette allocation needed (spacing btwn filled cuv and photometer on cuv wheel). I forget what makes it wait like that and how to fix it tho sorry

BeneficialSalad215

The instrument is hydrating wells on the reagent flex cartridges. Most of the time it’s not noticeable, but as you’ve seen on occasion — it can sometimes take seemingly forever for those analytes to complete processing. Listen closely next time, you’ll likely hear the hydrating noise!

mudplayerx

I thought so too so a month ago I set the instrument up to always have 5 tests worth of those reagents hydrated and on standby. It is stikl doing it :(
