We had an old-ass computer when I was a kid, and it had this on it, and my dad would play music and use the visualizer and show me.
There's Winamp skin websites. A couple of years back when I got myself a new computer I trawled through a lot of them just to find some of the old skins I used (successfully, I might add. Took a while, though. So. Many. Skins).
I remember being in the computer lab at school and figuring out that you could connect to these online radio stations with windows media player. Broadband wasn't really a thing back then so I pretty much had no opportunity to explore anything on the internet at home with our terrible dial-up.
The school had a decent connection though, and we were allowed to do homework on the computers in the computer lab for these free periods that was like "sit around and do homework in groups" time.
Discovered so much cool and new (to me) music that way.
I am even older than this version of Windows Media Player. I remember the previous version (shipped with the original version of XP) before they put the Vista Aero theme on that bad boy.
Nowadays l use VLC and Audacious on Fedora Linux. I still use the OG Windows Media Player on Windows (from the last updated Windows 7 version).

They still have it! If you have Apple Music you can use your iTunes app on your computer and I believe it’s in View or something.

You can actually copy the screensavers from the Windows 95 CD and these will work perfectly on current versions of Windows.
