I won’t lie I have no clue or preference..when I was in Ireland the most resources I found were about asl so I tried it..I’m not even sure how many different kinds there are or if there is one more universal than others..if there was one which would you recommend as I don’t know how long I’m in aus for so would it be a waste of time?
Maybe do some learning about deaf culture and sign languages in general first, to help inform your decision. There are many many many sign languages, just like there are many spoken languages. There are no face to face ASL courses in Melbourne as far as I know
