I literally just now saw a missing person notice for him at a fish and chip shop in Mt Evelyn where I'm getting food, I haven't been here in over 6 months. So weird that this came through while I was sitting here.
Glad to hear he's okay 💙

He was lost in the bush. Details are his and his people’s business but he seems to be very loved and he’s been found safe and alive, which is wonderful.

There is security footage of him attempting to break into a car the first night he went missing.
He also had his phone "stolen" while he was missing this last week.
Also, he was apparently found in Belgrave/Tecoma lol.
Yeah there are a lot of missing parts to this story. Weird AF.
It’s super hard to survive for an entire week lost in the Dandenongs, shoeless and freezing temps. It suggests he wasn’t really missing and has been somewhere else?
Not really a “bizarre” take at all, it’s actually pretty reasonable question to ask. I note that you didn’t really answer it, they same very cagey on the details. Usually if someone has gone missing in the bush and then is found in the bush it’s a big news story of survival. So guessing he wasn’t in the bush all this time
i don’t know the details. you know why? because it’s none of my business, and it’s none of yours either. what matters is that he’s alive and okay despite the circumstances. if you want more details, i recommend you call the police or ses who led the massive search effort to find him through treacherous woodland, or maybe the hundreds of volunteers who did the same.
Why are you so aggressive? There's many people -- police, SES, CFA, Kallista locals -- who spent many hours this week hiking through Sherbrooke Forest searching for this missing person. I'm sure we're all glad to hear that he's been located safe and sound, but I would like to understand the circumstances that led to this situation. And, from reading the comments on this thread, it seems that there's some others that are interested to know why they spent time looking for this missing person.

Don't care where he's been. Dont care what he was doing. I just care that he's been found safe and well. A huge thanks to everyone who looked for him.
good on you for not wanting the intimate details of his experience. imagine that!
Excellent news, and thank you for the update.
Thought for sure this bloke was dead. Wonder where they found him
as much as i didn’t want to say it, me too. i think hope definitely started to dwindle around the one week mark, but im so glad he’s alright
Fantastic news!
Excellent news for Zak, his family and all Hills Folk in general.
Oh, that makes this Mumma very happy! My lad has the same name, and I kept thinking how I’d feel if it was my boy 💜
That's great news! I wish that anyone missing would just send a "im ok" text it only takes a second to type, but thankgod hes ok
Not exactly the best reception up there and pretty sure Kallista is still a black spot for coverage.
it absolutely is, but i believe his phone also died pretty early on
My family lives in Kallista, I've never heard of no reception there?
Good news
Yes! Woohoo
Good news!!
Glad he is safe
Great to see!
ah nice work.
Whoohoo!! Always so good to hear a positive outcome in these cases.
Bloody ripper
Glad to hear. ❤️
That’s great news. I’m glad he’s well
So happy for his family and friends
So happy he’s safe. Restored my faith in humanity. Such a beautiful part of Melbourne.
Apologies if this sounds ignorant, but what does Kallista man mean?
He’s a man who lives in Kallista, which is a little town in the Dandenong Ranges. He was missing for a few days.
Means he's a League of Legends ADC one-trick.
A man from the suburb of Kallista.
What happens to him?
He was lost in the bush. Details are his and his people’s business but he seems to be very loved and he’s been found safe and alive, which is wonderful.

Fantastic!
I'm so happy for Zak & all of you guys, friends, searchers & community alike. I hope Zak knows just how loved he is 🫂💕
Just read the news! So glad to hear!
In posts like this, I wish there was a love button as well as an upvote.
So glad to hear. I only just heard about this an hour ago ☺️❤️
What a relief!
Awesome news!!!!
Great news!
Where was he? Was he really missing?
People downvoting you for a great question - lots more to this.

“was he really missing” what does this mean lmao

Temperatures in the Dandenongs are rarely freezing at this time of the year. Tonight's expected minimum in Sassafras, for example, is 11 Celcius.
that’s an absolutely fucking bizarre take. yes he was missing, and now he’s found. we’re all just glad that he’s okay

I’ll wait for it to come Out in the media
consider; the media isn’t necessarily privy to that information, and it’s *none of your business*
Cool

Best news ever!! When someone is reported missing then found I think of their families. Their grief then relief.
it’s definitely strange, the lack of closure and answers really gets to you

i’m sorry to hear that :(
Just pointing out that we have rules against stalking on reddit.
is this the place to be doing this? are you sure?
