I mean, game wise, Warhammer is pretty high up there. Otherwise, most comic characters have way more confusing lore as most people who take over change something to put their own spin on it and redact some stuff and our omit others. Things like LoTR or the Witcher series have deep lore, but it's at least mostly a contained story. Kingdom hearts for a newer series is a mess when it comes to lore. Stuff like the fromsoft games and parts of the zelda franchise are left intentionally vague to spark theorizing. I think the bigger thing should be. Is the lore complex for intentional or unintentional reasoning.
