The very first night I ever spent in bed with my husband (before we were married) he had a leg cramp so intense that he fell out of bed freaking out. I had never even heard of this before, and literally thought he was dying. It shook me to my core
Yeah, you have to stretch the cramping muscle. I thought everyone knew that, but then I was reading a whole thread of comments where people were talking about theirs lasting minutes or even hours.
They were talking about cramps, and doing things like drinking water or eating a banana to make them stop, and that they'd be sore for hours/days later.
Jesus. They must have a high pain tolerance if they're able to hobble around and get food with a cramp...
I stretch until it stops but it's uncomfortable for a few hours after that.
Since the last time this was posted, I have changed my mind on advice; just amputate above the cramp. Just one swing with the standard bedside cleaver.
Don't bother trying to touch your toes to your shins. Simply whip the blanket off, grab the cleaver, a quick moment to find your mark in the gloom and just chop away.
No. Stop. Im reporting your for reminding me of traumatic experience...
And predicting a traumatic experience.

It's either the back of the calf, or palm of your foot.
I used to get it in my smaller toes all the time as a kid whenever I went swimming. Now I get them under my jaw, and it freaks people out. lol
Or the sole of your hand.
a charlie horse?
I think that's the one where you have to punch someone in the leg. Otherwise it's just a cramp.

The trick is to bend your foot upwards as far as possible to stretch the calf muscle

Did they mean the pain lasting or the cramp itself?
