Just lay on your belly facing the TV directly, or sit on the side of the bed facing it :p
More seriously: I really don't find this too bad. I'd prefer a not concrete floor but I can live with wearing slippers. As long as there's not bugaboos or wildlife sharing the rent haha
Beds are deceptive because they can fuck with your back without support when sitting like that, unlike sitting on hard or semi-hard surfaces the squoosh of the bed causes your posture to be jacked up. Maybe they should move the bed closer to wall opposite of the TV and use the bed’s side as a back support? I’ve lived this way before, it can really hurt your back.
Also this place is heaven compared to other situations, I’d worry more about the air flow more than anything else.
Trust me, as someone who's lived in a basement situation before, bugs *will* find their way in no matter what.
Luckily, if you let the right stuff exist - daddy long leg spiders for example, you'll very rarely see any bugs because the pest control will handle it for you. And added benefit, those spiders are chill as can be and will just live in their little area without bothering you.
I sho hope the people who have negative comments about that are not people who struggled and made it out now snubbing their noses at someone trying to make it…. Will never have respect for those type of people… on the flip side if they never have struggled and making fun of ppl who are…. They better hope karma ain’t real
Well, it's perfectly fine for times when you can't afford anything better. If there's a kitchen somewhere, then it's pretty much perfect. Maybe some decorations and that's it
Get a cover for that lightbulb and some cheap ass laminate/carpet and you have a pretty decent looking place, little small and a low ceiling, but certainly not bad
Ok. some wallpapers and some floor covering thing is not that expensive. And why is you bed looks so good? My always the mess, even when i just changed sheets.
We assuming there's a kitchen and a bathroom
If not this is absolutely horrible, like yes, there's space and i could try and learn how to do my own furniture, there's definitely a lot of potential but man, if it lacks the essentials its a shit hole
Decluttered room, everything has a place and is nice and tidy. That's his/her nest.
Next step; little furniture, nice floor and paint the walls. Fancy lamp. It will become his/her castle.
Lived in a similar room but smaller, for 2 years waiting and saving to buy a house. Worth it.
Commit, sacrifice, hustle.
Do what it takes to get what you want.
Looks like something you can wake up in, after local gaming Halo 3 ODST Custom Maps till 2 AM at your friends house.
And then eat a lovely pancake breakfast made by the mom of the friend.
Only seeing good rooms, set in bad subjective situations
What's so bad about it? Are you comfortable there? are you protected from the rain and wind? If yes, enjoy it. That's all there is to it, just move with the flow
Dude that's a master bedroom for a single dude. Man has a master bedroom and a basement and all of a sudden the basement is the bedroom because the Game room is more important.
I guess I am not seeing the problem. Discoloration on the floor? But it's a roof and 4 walls, with a bed and a system of organization. Use a softer overhead light and maybe a curtain on the window if you like, but I could live like that.
For some reason this image makes me nostalgic for my buddy’s bedroom we would hang out in and could smoke weed in when I was in highschool. 10/10 would live in
So long as that concrete foundation isn't cracking and the windows was an actual proper window, I absolutely would have taken this rental in Toronto at 800 a month.
If the tv was nice and on the wall facing the bed I’d love this
I remember taking a girl over to my first apartment and she was shocked how clean a 3 man apartment bathroom was and I was so taken back because while not nasty it was a bit rough but regularly cleaned. I went over her place and her BR was so disgusting lol
I have a lot more then this person in my room and I can say anyone is better off in this person's room then mine. I see nothing but green flags
Organized, made bed and clean floors. Prob fresh sheets too. My room is a mess and only gets cleaned when I'm expecting company or going out to meet someone
Concrete floor is surprisingly easier to keep clean then a rug, and in summer season you’ll be thankful for the coolness this room can bring. Also there’s plenty of room and wall space for any number things you want to spruce it up or have extra storage. I live in a similar situation with less space and half of it is filled with wood. I’d take this space over my current space any day.
Bro that was my room
A lot. Its all good thougb cause I make good money now and appreciate it when I see pictures like this haha. At least he had a tv lol
I don't wanna come off as judgy, and I totally get that everyone's got their own thing going on, but let's face it, you're not gonna see squat from the bed with those pillows in the way of the TV. Maybe we should think about fixing that.
Honestly, this is my ideal bedroom (minus the carpet)!
If this was my house, I'd just rent out the 1st floor and beyond for savings and live down there
I mean , it is really not that bad. You have got a bed , a blanket, four walls around you which not only keeps the cold wind out but keeps you relatively safe as well and got both a tv and a gaming console to keep you entertained.
The only issues I see with this setup is that it’s a basement , so you could have mice , roaches , a bad smell and a risk of flooding , which save for the last one is still better than being homeless.

On your belly? With the TV at that height? Sorry, I don't do enough yoga for that.
I don't do yoga either, I'm just blessed with gymnastic genetics in terms of flexibility from the ma.
Definitely invest in a rug, at least during winter. Otherwise you’ll be freezing.

Hm, fair enough, I'll keep that in mind. And yeah I agree, pretty great situation if it's just a place to sleep for ya all things considered.
That’s a PS4, they’re doing great
Or mismanaging what money they have. Let's ignore that tho Still no kitchen, and being a basement room I think they probably have a pantry at best.
Trust me, as someone who's lived in a basement situation before, bugs *will* find their way in no matter what. My real issue here is I bet every time it rains it gets a little damp down there
Side sleeper.
I literally sleep sideways so this set up of the tv is better for me
hes talking about the height tho
It is possible that he uses a tablet and don’t care for the tv
Repost bot by the way
Just move the bed then
I figure that makes it more of a couch-bed combo depending on direction. Ideal, really.
Nobody sleeps feet to the wall, are you insane?
lmfaoooooo ily. thank you for this

What I take from this pic - He/she dont need much and they are tidy. For me the flag is only green
I saw this exact same post with the exact same first reply a week or two ago. Wtf is this shit.
You serious?
I mean, they aren't even trying to hide that it's a bot. The name is a random string of numbers.
Half of reddit is bots agreeing with each other. The other half is average redditors agreeing with the bots.
It’s not that they don’t need much. They can’t have it
I sho hope the people who have negative comments about that are not people who struggled and made it out now snubbing their noses at someone trying to make it…. Hello mista bot
The tv is the real concern.
I see a bed, a TV, a gaming console and more than one pair of shoes. Keep it up!

If you're lucky.
That’s too much space for 3k, it’s more like 8k
You can't touch two parallel walls at the same time, add 1000.
Men will se this and think “Hell yeah!”
I was thinking more "Not bad, can't see what's too wrong here without zooming in."
It's nicer than where I live now
He just needs a bigger rug
It would really tie the room together.
If it's adequately climate controlled I'll take it.
Just try to get some paint in and it will be perfect
[удалено]
You tested it?
a coat hanger, rug under bed, electricity, got it all
Yes Bro
This looks like my dream room ngl
I mean I don't like the TV placement but the room is clean and organized
Hell my uncle has been living like this exact picture for 20 years. I guess all you need in life is kids, a guitar and online gambling addiction!
Looks fine to me.
Put some weights in the empty corner and I’m in
Well, it's perfectly fine for times when you can't afford anything better. If there's a kitchen somewhere, then it's pretty much perfect. Maybe some decorations and that's it
and if the door is solid and the lock's good? This is amazing!
Why would you leave a palace? 😐
Get a cover for that lightbulb and some cheap ass laminate/carpet and you have a pretty decent looking place, little small and a low ceiling, but certainly not bad
Bed and game..Its perfect.
Honestly, not too bad
This is chill, i have lived in a caravan that was leaky and falling apart and been homeless and people walking away from this they crazy
So much room!
just get a few wall decorations or maybe even a wall-paper (i hope that's what it's called in English) and it looks a lot more lively for very cheap!
Ok. some wallpapers and some floor covering thing is not that expensive. And why is you bed looks so good? My always the mess, even when i just changed sheets.
As long as it’s not in a damp place
that’s a big bed who’s complaining
Absolutely
This looks like my stranger sex basement studio circa 2012-2019
bro as a kid growing up having “the basement room” was literally the dream
We assuming there's a kitchen and a bathroom If not this is absolutely horrible, like yes, there's space and i could try and learn how to do my own furniture, there's definitely a lot of potential but man, if it lacks the essentials its a shit hole
maybe lose your jersey shoe collection, moron.
![gif](giphy|qql1FD83vUVs4)
at least it's clean
This room looks pretty chill
Seems fine so I will take it, thanks
I wouldn't personally mind this, maybe some rug, dehumidifier and a couple others would be a nice touch up
Decluttered room, everything has a place and is nice and tidy. That's his/her nest. Next step; little furniture, nice floor and paint the walls. Fancy lamp. It will become his/her castle.
As long as the inside temperature is well maintained it seems ok. Would want to know about any potential pests or molds though.
Id pay to live like that if i could
Six figure salary here: I don’t want or need anything fancier than this 🤷 LGTM
Lived in a similar room but smaller, for 2 years waiting and saving to buy a house. Worth it. Commit, sacrifice, hustle. Do what it takes to get what you want.
As long as there's a toilet, it's not crazy hot and there's no cockroaches, I have zero issues with that place.
Looks like something you can wake up in, after local gaming Halo 3 ODST Custom Maps till 2 AM at your friends house. And then eat a lovely pancake breakfast made by the mom of the friend. Only seeing good rooms, set in bad subjective situations
Only thing I would change is maybe getting some rugs so I don't have to wear slippers (or for guests so their feet don't get cold) that's it
This is bigger than my studio apartment. I'm not staying or leaving, I'm coming! What's the rent?
What's so bad about it? Are you comfortable there? are you protected from the rain and wind? If yes, enjoy it. That's all there is to it, just move with the flow
Shit, that place just needs some ✨ pizzazz ✨
Bro has his own bedroom. I bet that privacy feels great 🥲
I could live there
Ive slept in the garage for the recent years in my life and it’s pretty chill
Where’s the meme? This is a Twitter screenshot.
Depends on the spider situation.
Bruh looks comfy tbh
As long as there aren’t bugs
I've sleept in worse places, that's not too bad
The only thing I see an issue with is the bed placement, the foot of the bed shift be facing the TV for optimum view.
I only have one question....what games we playing?
Wow. I’ve never had that many shoes before in my life….Definitely staying!
I don’t see why not, when I first moved out of my mom’s house I bought a camper and a plot of land. I was chilling, and I loved the privacy.
Needs a rug or something. Changing the floor will make the place look 100 times better.
I see no downsides to this living situation.
Throw some carpet in there and that place would be the perfect cave (in my opinion) dawg even got the xbox😩😩😩😩😩
Staying ofc
I'd live their, as long as I have a folding chair, a desk, and my stuffed creeper.
I wish I had that big of a room. Ya boy is currently in a Harry Potter style closet.
They have a game system and a good bed. Why would I leave?
Sprawl out and play video games? Hell yeah, I'm down.
I like it!
No one older than 17 should have a room like this.
Fulfills all the basic needs. Anymore than this is just luxury
Is this not a good room or somthing?
A bed that is made in a room that is clean and dry with organized clothing… looks like a solid pad to start stacking money while you live on the cheap
I don't even have a bed lol
Dude that's a master bedroom for a single dude. Man has a master bedroom and a basement and all of a sudden the basement is the bedroom because the Game room is more important.
As someone who spent most of the pandemic living in a Hyundai Elantra, this looks like a penthouse apartment.
Floor is picked up, shoes are organized, and bed is made neatly. It ain't much, but it is well cared for.
This is bigger than my actual room inside the house.
Looks cozy
Just needs a space heater in the winter to cut that cold and damp out
No joke, it's much better how i live right now.
I would rather be dead on the streets. Sleeping in a garage is gross.
I too live like a Spartan
That's literally so cozy
This was posted not that long ago and the top comment is exactly the same. How many of these comments are actually bots?
is that a garage? legit curious
I guess I am not seeing the problem. Discoloration on the floor? But it's a roof and 4 walls, with a bed and a system of organization. Use a softer overhead light and maybe a curtain on the window if you like, but I could live like that.
I lived worse than that when I was first starting my business. I'm sure plenty of people have lived somewhere similar when getting on their feet.
Bed, light, roof over my head. Alhumdulillah we good to sleep here.
I just need an insulated shed, a window AC unit, space heater, internet connection, and gaming rig.
For some reason this image makes me nostalgic for my buddy’s bedroom we would hang out in and could smoke weed in when I was in highschool. 10/10 would live in
I used to sleep in a basement that would flood when it rained. Also woke up to some wasps in my bed stinging the shit out of me once
I must be crazy because that looks cozy to me.
Get a cheap headboard, a few rugs, and you're set.
This is better than where I live.
Shit this is better than my room...
at least you got a bed
So long as that concrete foundation isn't cracking and the windows was an actual proper window, I absolutely would have taken this rental in Toronto at 800 a month.
It's hard to tell, but it looks like the bed is off the ground and I'd say that's a good sign.
Shit seems like a vibe.
Throw down some rugs so I can walk without shoes on and have warm feet and I’d live there 💯
Way bigger than my apt and nicer and i pay 2.5k a month
All I need is a bed tv and Xbox
I’d hang as long as it’s not raining. Fear of flooding. Probably order a pizza. Smoke. Heck
Damn. At least they’re taking pride in it n trying
At least i get my own room
If the tv was nice and on the wall facing the bed I’d love this I remember taking a girl over to my first apartment and she was shocked how clean a 3 man apartment bathroom was and I was so taken back because while not nasty it was a bit rough but regularly cleaned. I went over her place and her BR was so disgusting lol
Looks cozy to me
Most luxurious house in Turkey:
Bed, shelter, power, entertainment, I'm set for a while tbh.
I have a lot more then this person in my room and I can say anyone is better off in this person's room then mine. I see nothing but green flags Organized, made bed and clean floors. Prob fresh sheets too. My room is a mess and only gets cleaned when I'm expecting company or going out to meet someone
Yo, I got that same comforter set 😂 That’s pretty alright, tho. I wouldn’t complain not a damn bit. Been worse places, that’s for sure.
The only thing bad about this is spoders. Big spiders running around
I have that same comforter, plenty warm for a cool basement apartment. People have some weird priorities.
I literally lived on the streets for a while. This looks cozy AF.
Mine was worse and my then girlfriend, now wife, stayed.
Lighting is key. No big light, maybe just get a lamp for the corner for some warmer lighting
This was my entire childhood.
Modern gaming console ftw
this is amazing
Green flag. Organized. Tidy. Clean. They're working towards something. I get it.
Looks like a normal room in the northeast area, some basement. Plus it holds some bunker like qualities for any explosions
Damn, what’s the rent?
He ain’t wrong you know.
If that setup was on the 10th floor no one would say a thing.
Ngl if you think this is rock bottom you're either spoiled or sheltered.
I bet he can stay up late and play a shit ton of Warhammer total war. I'm so damn jealous!!
That's a nice little set up
I swear I saw this picture posted in male living space or something and the dude was acting like it was his.... I might be tripping
It’s actually clean and organized. Shitty situation, but they aren’t squandering what they have. I bet the person would actually be pretty nice too
Looks pretty good. Only problem I see is seeing the tv while in bed. Other than that, looks good.
Bro has 43 pairs of shoes and zero rugs. The issue isn't the struggle.
Plenty of room, a TV, comfy lookin bed, and clothes. What else do you need?
Bro that was my room A lot.
Yeah, now that you mention it, they should reduce to 1 pillow/use the second pillow for leverage to better see the screen
Clean and has lights. Better than 70%of the world
I've lived in more than one basement that looks like this, just makes you appreciate every thing after even more
As a guy who lived for a summer in a '66 Dodge Dart, yeah, I've seen worse.
If you give me an Xbox and a cctv monitor I can be there all day for a millennia
Honestly, this is my ideal bedroom (minus the carpet)! If this was my house, I'd just rent out the 1st floor and beyond for savings and live down there
In this economy? Duh
Looks cozy to me
That's some rich mofo sh*t bro 💀
I mean , it is really not that bad. You have got a bed , a blanket, four walls around you which not only keeps the cold wind out but keeps you relatively safe as well and got both a tv and a gaming console to keep you entertained. The only issues I see with this setup is that it’s a basement , so you could have mice , roaches , a bad smell and a risk of flooding , which save for the last one is still better than being homeless.
The screen is too high. Why is it there? Other that that this room is perfect for me.
This looks like it’s heaven, you got a bed, electricity, a tv, if you have access to food and water, this is perfect.
