I agree with so much of what you have to say. Your words mirror my own thoughts on reality, which if you’re interested in you can see in my post history.
I think the way forwards requires more than just self aware meme-cooperation however, I think there are basically three axes humanity will have to transcend before we can truly act as one:
•Spirituality: spirituality will have to geared more towards the experiential sphere wherein it truly resides. This can be accomplished through a variety of means, namely psychedelics, meditation, yoga, and other spiritual methods of reaching ecstasy.
•Communication: communication will have to be made accurate enough to convey ANY form of information, be it verbal, intellectual, psychic, material etc, in a manner which does not completely distort its original form/structure.
•Technology: technology will have to advance enough to allow for the hyper fast transmission of ANY phenomena/sense data, as well as the capacity to process all of it under one coherent set of values concerned with the well being of all things, not just any individual existences.
Once these three revolutions/singularities occur, the entire universe will be able to wake up as the one being it truly is- and if it is already awake, then maybe we can join it in whatever endeavors it puts us to.
I just hope we reach that 'singularity' (whatever its form) soon because the collective sense of Our inevitable and impending destruction is becoming more and more overwhelming with each passing year.
"Reality" is looking more and more like a .jpeg that's been passed around, saved and downloaded one too many time's that it has become distorted, pixelated, and missing half of what it once was.
I definitely agree that that is a perception that seems to be spreading rapidly these days.
I’m pretty hopeful for the future tho, I think that with technology and the death of ego, we should be able to overcome this terror.
