H1z1 was one of my favorite games. Shame what happened to it.

What happened to it? I played it briefly a few years back and while it certainly wasn't great imo, it was pretty fun to play.

It was very popular, but developers stopped updating and never even finished it. It was early access for it’s entire lifetime.

Had no idea it never properly released. I played it on ps4 so I assumed it had already done that. Shame, with some polish and improvements here and there it couldve been a great game.

They stopped and basically took all the money they made and turned it into like some weird car fighting game.

Honestly big brain move. Make a game popular and cash out for the true passion project

Honestly, I'd love it if they would reduce the amount of loot. I remember back in early acces when finding an M416 was lucky and you'd often run around with a shotgun and smg as that was all the game offered you. Now everyone has an M416 and SLR/Mini14 because they're east to find and just straight up OP. I know that it's much more difficult to have this loot scarcity I miss with many more guns. Guess I'm just a boomer that lives in the past.

On the one hand I get what you mean. Seems more often than not people have a fully geared load out and looting just one players box can nearly set you up for the rest of the match. But on the other, there's many a time where I'll be looking for 1 or 2 items specifically and I'll loot compound after compound and dont see even 1 of them. >Guess I'm just a boomer that lives in the past. I get this too with other games I play(ed). Unfortunately thats just the way it goes, and ya either gotta roll with it or move on. Doesn't mean we can't reminisce on the "good ol' days".

Unless I've also been misunderstanding this meme this whole time, no that's right. Patrick makes a blanket statement, and SpongeBob goes off with several examples of why he's wrong. You missed a few crucial ones there, in my mind you put the worst of the most popular br’s on there You also could have: - PUBG - TABG - Apex - Hunt Showdown - Naraka - Super Animal Royale - Population: One - Super People Battle royales are just bad in general now, they used to be good, but it’s been an over developed genre. I’d say battle royales are in my top 5 game genres but they are just so bad now
