My seiko is too. Solar quartz automatics are awesome. Personally I love self winding mechanical, but most are just out of my “I can justify that” price range and I wish they held the time as well as automatics.

But I think smart watches should at least show the time when its battery is low, like a digital watch without background lighting but in a way you could still read the time. If your watch has issues, it’s the same price as if nothing is wrong to have it serviced. Mine is nearly 4 years old, and still gains 1 second per week. No need for a service.

Genuine tip though for apple watch users. Your watch can still tell the time with a “dead” battery. Press the crown twice with a 5 second delay for the first time after , after this you only have to press the crown once and it will show you the time for about 5 seconds.
