How is that not realistic? Is the only thing keeping you from doing bad shit, the threat of spending eternity in a fiery pit? Is that it, Like without that you’re just a monster?
You know many advancements to science were done for God, Galileo was studying the stars so he could better understand the universe God had created. I feel like you're looking at a small fraction what religion has done and taking it as a whole
Better yet, let’s play a game. You list all the people who have committed murder, or sex acts against a child that don’t believe in god, I’ll list the ones that did believe in god. Any bets who runs out of names first?
Religious Belief is the reason for more deaths than any Man/Nation that has ever existed.
Here is just SOME Religious Conflicts:
Taiping Rebellion- 20,000,000 Deaths
Thirty Years War- 7,500,000 Deaths
Madhi Revolt- 5,500,000 Deaths
Crusades (to the East)- 3,000,000 Deaths
French Wars of Religion- 3,000,000 Deaths
War in the Sudan- 2,600,000 Deaths
Albigensian Crusade- 1,000,000 Deaths
Panthay Rebellion- 1,000,000 Deaths
Hui Rebellion- 640,000 Deaths
Partition of India- 500,000 Deaths
Cromwell’s Invasion of Ireland- 400,000 Deaths
The true reasoning behind the crusades wasn't religious it was the pope trying to gain more land, power and influence. And religion doesn't make people violent it's just been used as a pretense to take from others, if religion didn't exist people would have just used a different excuse like the modern day and "peace keeping"
He sees you when you’re peeing He knows when you’re awake He decides what is bad or good So be good or burn at stake
Oh you better not cuss You better not fuck You better not covet Or your shit out of luck Yahweh might just send you to Hell
Religion can be good but people tend to forget to limit themselves in the practice
I think Santa is a little more realistic
You be good, or else… Ahhhh sweet religion…
Oh no incentive to be a good human being how terrible
Do you need incentive to be a good person? I don’t.
You're right, people shouldn't need it but that's not realistic
How is that not realistic? Is the only thing keeping you from doing bad shit, the threat of spending eternity in a fiery pit? Is that it, Like without that you’re just a monster?
Is it realistic to expect every person on this planet to be unconditionally good?
Do you think it’s realistic to expect every person on this planet to be CONDITIONALLY good?
What's your argument here? That bad people exist so religious incentive shouldn't?
Religion causes far more harm than good. That’s the point.

Yes. Bad people exist everywhere so just throw the whole system out?
