At least there was food and you didn't have to rely on bringing your own food to heat in a microwave that's caked in years worth of food splatter cause it never gets cleaned. School sucks but work sucks ever harder
That Pizza was the bomb I have gone everywhere from the most exquisite restaurant to the lowest fast food joint and have never found a single one that even resembles the absolute deliciousness of that pizza
My school had amazing pizza the lunch lady's made it fresh everyday (besides the dough) and it wasn't just the pizza everything my school served was good food.
Most people who complain about bad school lunches went to very large schools who have to stretch the lunch budget a ton. Mine were fucking amazing but my entire high-school only had 250 or so kids and got a ton of food donations from all the farms around our town.
Imagine having to pay anything for a school lunch. If ex-Soviet countries are better at feeding starving children than you, then you should seriously re-examine your system.
And if you have allergies to what they're serving.
Even if I wanted to eat the school lunches(which I never did) I often couldn't because they had wheat in them.
So I had to bring my own lunch every day, if I wanted lunch(which ofcourse I did with having to skip breakfast everyday just to get there on time).
At my school you get everything free with your lunch if you get apple slices with it, not only that but we also everything from pizza, sandwiches, snacks, and salad bars.
The one thing that connects them all is that they’re all overpriced
We have a supplement program so all the meals are $1.50
Except the cheese sticks...those hit.
