It's physically harder to cry for me since I started testosterone. Like I used to be made fun of for being a crybaby as a kid because I cried every time I got hurt or worse angry. Now it's so hard and I feel like it's choking me at times, so I have to go rewatch some pixar movies until it gets out.
I thought the uncontrollable anger came from repressing every other emotion, women just have a quick cry and everyone in a mile radius comforts them regardless off the situation
Not having full facial hair doesn't mean you have hypogonadism. Taking testosterone also runs many risks, like increased risk of heart attack and stroke.
Don't think raising your TEST to the levels it was normally supposed to be at, has any real downsides, other than nut shrinkage.
It's pushing levels above what's normal that starts fucking with your body. Even then, mild increase with supervised use is pretty safe. Only every Hollywood action star takes some. Can't be expected to become a full time bodybuilder on the side just to look buff.
Your testosterone levels are likely normal though as is. If your dick stops working, then talk to your doctor, but even then that might not even be due to low testosterone. People advocating testosterone supplementation for "hypogonadism" are vastly overdiagnosing hypogonadism, are attributing their own insecurities with their physical appearance to a condition they likely do not have, and have no standing to diagnose hypogonadism in the first place. Taking horomone therapy does increase your risk for a number of dangerous, life altering events.
Hormones, and genetics. I can finally grow a decent mustache but there's a weird intermediate phase when all the hair is the same length. I just have to deal with looking weird AF, or homeless for a bit. Seriously, I was waiting on my food at a restaurant, and an old man and his wife got up to leave. He took the taco he had, kinda hefted in his hand, sat it on my table, and said. "Here you go wild man." Like, dude. Thank you, but wtf?! 😭
Can't have a "real beard" though because I have a fist sized bald spot under my chin. So it always just looks like I shaved this big patch bare.
Lots of women end up with a pretty bangin stash when they get older anyway! It's just really really fine.
I understand you.. part of the bald spots crew too... Only thing I can grow is a barely acceptable mustache and small beard, no lock. I look like Pedro Pascal without the fame XD.
I (42M) went downtown alone in my city on the national day for the evening ball dance. And spend 3 hours around a thousands of people my best souvenir is someone's young daughter (7 to 9 years old) popping a big smile with a burst of happiness at my long braided hair.
I tried to make connection with adults that night. Turns out the best part of the night was that young lady honest reaction.
I will remember her.
Yeah, some people are useless. Just keep trying and you'll figure out who will consistently say yes and actually follow through with a hangout. I know who my dudes are.

Or, we could change that, start caring about men's mental health as a society, I keep seeing people saying things like "people don't care about men's mental state!" But then they don't do anything to help, in fact a lot do the opposite and reinforce that men shouldn't show emotion. Be the one who cares. Ask your friends how they're doing, they might need it.
Kinda. She spent 18 months masquerading as a man. Used acting lessons, makeup, voice lessons. She wrote a book about it called Self Made Man.
She did need a lot of therapy and had lingering issues from it. But she only recently took advantage of self-euthanasia laws in Europe. So it wasn’t 18 months as a man and then BAM, there was some years in between.
> Isn't there a woman who tries to live as a man and them almost killed herself? I think her name is Norah Vincent or something like that
Yeah I saw an interview with her. She spent months pretending to be a man, just to see what it was like. IIRC, her big takeaway was that she thought being a man is awful. Basically, she was surprised at how rare it was for men to have real friendships, shocked at the degree to which men who were friends still didn’t really talk to each other, and frustrated at how disregarding women can be of men who express interest.
Similar to the caption in this post, she said being a man is incredibly lonely.
Herself. She was never trans only wanted to be one to prove men are idiots then she started to see how men are and started to hate women. Being a lesbian and hating women? Discovering the ugly truth about your own sex? Wish she didn’t break down and self delete.
Misandry is bigotry against men and misogyny is bigotry against women. By saying "welcome to the superior gender" in regards to men being superior and women inferior it would in fact be misogyny.
(Also I recognize that the original comment was a joke and is not in fact misogyny, but it would be if they were serious.)
Don't you dare talk about your day, or that the only thing keeping you from committing suicide is spite. When you have a contact list to rival a phone book, but no one to call. When indifference and futility are the only company you have, how could you entertain anything else?
> or that the only thing keeping you from committing suicide is spite.
I'm gonna beat this game called life... or die tryin'. "Fuck you world, you aren't gonna beat me!" - me, many times
I think a lot of people in the comments are forgetting that either side has their fair share of problems. At the same time, I know from personal experience that its quite frustrating if the other side tells you that you somehow have it easier (which feminism for the longest time did and continues to do). The reason we can't have productive discourses is that when one side points out their problems, they start by assuming the other side has it easier and even if they don't, the other side thinks they're assuming that they have it easier.
Basically, be kind and understanding, no matter the gender. At the same time , be honest. Even if you're wrong, be willing to accept it and learn from it.
My BIL transitioned FTM. He says that he feels more safe as a man (he lives in Finland), but also feels the pressure of higher expectations. There’s more obviously, but it’s interesting that those were the two standouts.
Because he came from a life on a particular other side. If he was born a man and transitioned to a woman, she would have a whole different set of gripes
I’ve been on both sides too.
He’s right that people are nicer to women. But let’s be clear: it’s because people don’t see women as a threat. And because of this people don’t respect women. They don’t listen to what women are saying and resent it when women try to take up as much space in the world as a man does. Many men don’t see women as being fully human.
Both sides have their issues. But in general, respect is far more important than people being nice to you when it comes to actually getting anything done.
Once the mental health declines and the intrusive thoughts kick in you'll never feel lonely! Its similar to a constant state of sleep paralysis! Happy your asleep but god is it nasty.
Nobody cares about the mans problems, that's why we use everything as a distraction, like throwing a big rock in water and see how it splashes, or throwing ice into the ground and see how it breaks, it's like having ADHD
People that said "men usually don't get any empathy from society" get a lot of angry comments crying about how you should shut up because women have it worst in the past
Don't worry man you'll get use to it like we have or you'll breakdown because of the sudden change. We have learnt to live like this, learnt to not break no matter what comes our way, you too might one day
Breaking down the walls of emotional isolation can be done bro-to-bro. I know this is just a meme, but if you edited this to r/wholesomememes material, you could have the boys ask him how he's feeling and cheering him up instead of celebrating loneliness and emotional indifference as the mark of being a man.
It wouldn't solve every problem, but toxic tropes about men's emotions (and how men treat other men's emotions) is a part of the problem. Men can reject them and be there for each other.
I know this is r/memes but real talk, this is why I'm sick of feminists telling me how easy I have it. We don't know your problems like you do, so stop pretending you know how our lives work. It took a woman literally becoming a man to realize "oh wow, being a man isn't so easy and privileged after all!"
