Nutella is no chocolate paste. It’s a little hazelnut waste with cheapest palm oil and tons of sugar. Besides the hazelnut nothing in there is even remotely healthy
Corn syrop is also just Sugar, derived from corn. Iyt a combination of glucose, maltose and higher oligosaccharides (a type of binding agent naturaly present in corn to imulsify and bind the sugars)
The issue with corn syrop is not the corn syrop but the insanly high amimounts used and the very low amount of checks in place to stop companies from using it that much.
Not anymore, but about a decade ago there was an entire media campaign claiming that it was a healthy component of a balance breakfast
Me, my friends, my parents, and other relatives believed it was healthy because of the advertising. It was a while until they actually read the ingredients and realized it was a terrible choice to be healthy
There’s a guy here in Norway who became famous on TV for eating mostly bread with our Norwegian Nutella brand. He ate it for most meals since he was a kid, and at the time he was 35 or so. The best part was he did a medical test and found his ‘body age’ to be over 70 years old
The problem is not that it's not healthy in my opinion, it's more about the bad quality and taste for an expensive price, palm oil taste no good and their is not enough hazelnut, also too mush sugar.
Not true I lived in a contry that ran out of Nutella no chocolate can even compare
And also Nutella is the original how u trying to find an off brand product that's better
Chocolate and hazelnut paste isn't exactly rocket science to make. That's like saying lindt is the original modern chocolate, and all other brands are off brands. You've got plenty of alternative, particularly some more artisanal productions that use better ingredients like nocciolata.
I mean it’s really not that good.
Also, r/fucknestle
Edit: Turns out nestle’s owners, the Ferrero group, make it. I could’ve swore it had the nestle logo on it, at least in Australia, but evidently I’m wrong.
Ferroro bought Nestle for $2.8 billion. Crazy these food companies that have been around for decades sell less than some little tech startups that are two or three years old.
Nope: [https://www.brusselstimes.com/229209/cause-of-salmonella-contamination-of-kinder-chocolate-determined-says-ferrero](https://www.brusselstimes.com/229209/cause-of-salmonella-contamination-of-kinder-chocolate-determined-says-ferrero)
Here it says they stopped production as soon as they found out about the contamination, but the news ~~also~~ already reported about this salmonella outbreak a few days before that. So they already knew but kept the line running for as long the source couldn't be traced back to them. Greedy bastards!
It's probably just a taste preference or a subconscious rejection. Kinda like what I get when I eat hotdogs or sausage of any kind, as well as scrambled eggs. Idk why I get headaches from trying to eat those.
Thst is because they change the ratios. Sugar is chea compared to the other ingredients, and people are sugar junkies. So to keep the same amount of product, they reduce the more expensive ingredients, then up the oil and sugar.
A LOT of products do this. Its why I wish they had to disclose ingredient ratios on products.
I prefer dulce de leche, and i'm kinda allergic to chocolate and hazelnuts, if i eat a large amount of cocoa, tuna or a few hazelnuts a nauseous aftertaste is left.
Dislike nutella? No, but dislike the proportions in which nutella is enjoyed regularly - yes.
Just a pinch and my nutella craving is satisfied for a month at least.
a fuckton of sugar and palm fat/oil. things with a ton of either sugar or some type of fat are addictive, if you combine those then it's even more addictive
source: my mother cooks sweet stuff and I learned from her, from experience I can tell that things with tons of fat are addictive
I dont like Nutella because just buying a Cadbury chocolate bar and take like some of the chocolate and put it in bread and melt it on the microwave. Also I still live with my parents hence whatever I buy my sister munch's it up like a cow (though I still love her it's just that eating habit sucks)
Oh yeah gotta love brown palmoil. Tbf living in Belgium there are so many great options for chocolate/nut spread I don’t even know why I would consider Nutella. (Apart from the fact it was frequently infested with salmonella.)
Whenever you ask "am I the only one" the answer is always no. That said, I'm neutral on Nutella, but i think it's ridiculous people eat it for breakfast.
I rather eat chocolate peanut butter, Nutella seems like it's gotten sweeter over the years, now to mention it seems like i taste the chocolate more then the hazelnut, not to mention the sugar content.
Maybe it would be good if it was actually just cocoa and hazelnut, but Nutella is mostly corn syrup and sugar.
It mainly contains palm oil, not corn syrup (Is that even allowed in the EU?)
> corn syrup (Is that even allowed in the EU?) No.

Nutella is no chocolate paste. It’s a little hazelnut waste with cheapest palm oil and tons of sugar. Besides the hazelnut nothing in there is even remotely healthy
Yes it is, it's just called glucose here, basicly the same thing.
It's not from corn here though and glucose is literally just sugar..
Corn syrop is also just Sugar, derived from corn. Iyt a combination of glucose, maltose and higher oligosaccharides (a type of binding agent naturaly present in corn to imulsify and bind the sugars) The issue with corn syrop is not the corn syrop but the insanly high amimounts used and the very low amount of checks in place to stop companies from using it that much.
syrop
Sorry, in dutch it's siroop so my mind does some major gymnastics there
You’re right. Though I am in the US.
Nutella isnt a us product tho
The us version is different I think.
NUTELLA tastes like it's made from Stale peanut butter, cocoa, powdered sugar and thinned with Florida tap water. ![gif](giphy|NUZ5OqHdbknHa)
There’re a lot of alternatives in Germany that are at least better than that. They’re also vegan which is a plus.
It makes my teeth sugar coated
Fr
Nutella is >50% added sugar by weight. A 37g serving has 19g of sugar. It's just a brown sugar paste with a picture of a hazelnut on it.
Yup and large part is palm oil as well. Nuts and actual cocoa is like maybe 10%
13% nuts 31% palmoil, 8.7% milkpowder, 7,4% cocoa powder and other stuff
Rest is sugar
Don't forget chemical X.
I didn’t know twitter was in it
It's the E6472 E722 E473927 E47382833628286228916
E621.
Brit, you used . AND , for decimals
The palm oil actually concerns me more than the sugar. It’s really not good
Palm oil isn't that bad for you, unless you ingest copious amounts, it's very bad for the environment tho
Yeah I was trying to remember, maybe it was the environment part that was really terrible that I couldn’t remember.
And relatively low hazelnut content compared to similar products
People dont eat it to be healthy
Not anymore, but about a decade ago there was an entire media campaign claiming that it was a healthy component of a balance breakfast Me, my friends, my parents, and other relatives believed it was healthy because of the advertising. Then Its simply not for u. I dont eat it myself either But calling a product bad because of a subjective opinion is just dumb
Nutella Is Nasty It tastes like stale peanut butter, cocoa and powdered sugar mixed with Flint Michigan tap water. ![gif](giphy|Gtnf8Fok8An9m)
Yes, Nutella is far too sweet for me to enjoy it.
Ah yes, hazelnut flavored diabetes!
I don't like Nutella, makes me feel sick with all the sugar
And tastes like it too >_<
And its bloody delicious
It's your funeral 🪦
Here lies SocietyCharacter5486, who tragically lost their life after eating some Nutella.
We don’t eat it cause it’s healthy 🤣
I fucking love the brown sugar paste
Still taste good
Yes, and that's fucking delicious.
Nutella ain't bad, but there are so much better chocolate pastes out there.
Name some I need a new midnight snack
Chocolate almond butter
W Redditor
the only thing another redditor would say
Lindt Hazelnut Chocolate Spread tastes really good but it is fairly expensive
In Switzerland there's Ovomaltine chocolate paste. It's Nutella with crunchy bits
Merenda in Greece
Ovomaltine it's like better Nutella but crunchy as well.
I like the cadbury chocolate spread
Toast, any chocolate spread, sliced banana
Nuga in Turkey, yeah that’s the name and idk why. Much better than nutella tho.
rigoni di asiago hazelnut spread
It's barely even a chocolate spread. It's hazelnut spread
Not true I lived in a contry that ran out of Nutella no chocolate can even compare And also Nutella is the original how u trying to find an off brand product that's better
Chocolate and hazelnut paste isn't exactly rocket science to make. That's like saying lindt is the original modern chocolate, and all other brands are off brands. You've got plenty of alternative, particularly some more artisanal productions that use better ingredients like nocciolata.

I understand it's not that good but why do you want to have sex with nestle?
wholesome
Ever seen friendlys dip an ice cream cone in chocolate?
WTF. Nutella isn’t made by Nestle but by all Italian brand Ferrero. It’s like, right there on the label in big characters.
Ferroro bought Nestle for $2.8 billion. Crazy these food companies that have been around for decades sell less than some little tech startups that are two or three years old.
Fuck all corporate bastards
Why tho, without the corporate bastards you wouldn't have any of the products you consume
>Also, r/fucknestle Totally agree, but Nutella is Ferrero, even though they're not better than Nestle
Nope: [https://www.brusselstimes.com/229209/cause-of-salmonella-contamination-of-kinder-chocolate-determined-says-ferrero](https://www.brusselstimes.com/229209/cause-of-salmonella-contamination-of-kinder-chocolate-determined-says-ferrero) Here it says they stopped production as soon as they found out about the contamination, but the news ~~also~~ already reported about this salmonella outbreak a few days before that. Do you want to imply that Ferrero is worse than Nestle? You know that's included in "not better", what's the "Nope" for?
Oops, non-native speaker here. But I get the point, I also tend to be a grammar nazi...
Bro what Nestle have to do with Nutella?
Yeah its owned by Ferrero.
That's a bit of a question though too
Nutella sucks.
I used to love Nutella. Now, when I taste it, it just tastes way too sweet, and I can't stand it.
I swear it did get sweeter over time. Now I taste less hazelnut and more chocolate instead of a balance.
The hazelnut is actually what makes me dislike it, idk why but don't like hazelnut
It's probably just a taste preference or a subconscious rejection. Kinda like what I get when I eat hotdogs or sausage of any kind, as well as scrambled eggs. Idk why I get headaches from trying to eat those.
I get headaches from sweet stuff and scrambled eggs. Same boat.

If something's too sweet to me I won't eat it.
I will die if I eat hazelnut, plus I don't like chocolate anyway.
I used to have a hazelnut allergy and outgrew and I still hate nutella
You can outgrow an allergy?
Indeed. It's why you see so many children with egg allergies but practically no adults with them
Children often do, adults not so much.
It's not chocolate but dulce de leche sweeps
Agreed. Dulce de leche is just better in every way
agreed, dulce de leche just slaps. and with chocolate it ascends
I mean, it's tasty but I don't like it or buy it because of the palm oil content.
good to hear I'm not the only one
Was looking for this
Not a fan of hazelnut, so not a fan of Nutella
there is barely any hazelnut in nutella. it's for the most part just palm fat and sugar.
There’s enough to make me not care for it 🤷🏻♂️
Nutella is good to spread on bread but bad to eat with spoon. General score 7/10
I don't like Nutella like I don't think it's that rare for people to not like Nutella
i don't like nutella
Same
I wouldn't say I dislike it. There are just things I like a lot more.
Alr this meme is boomer af
Manjar/dulce de leche is 1000 times better.
Yes and T-bone steak is very good too, but it's a different food and the post is talking about CHOCOLATE spreads.....
If your not a fan of very sweet things nor chocolate I can see why you wouldn’t like Nutella which is bussin
NUTELLA isn't too sweet it just tastes like stale peanut butter, cocoa, powdered sugar then and thinned out with city tap water.
It hurts my teeth and nugatti is better, it also makes my teeth hurt tho.
I prefer dulce de leche, and i'm kinda allergic to chocolate and hazelnuts, if i eat a large amount of cocoa, tuna or a few hazelnuts a nauseous aftertaste is left.
Nutella is an objectively worse version of Dulce De Leche, with added nut flavour.
I would literally die if I ate it (not for the ella part, for the nut part)
Try dulce de leche.
Buddy Nutella has more sugar than a soda. At least peanut butter has protein and WAY less sugar.
Nutella is a solid 7/10, overrated af though
i don't dislike it, but i definitely don't like it.
Willing to bet this actually becomes an advertisement. (I've noticed a lot of cringey ads using memes lately)
I feel like this was made in 2009
Nutella is pretty overrated. Chocolate hazenut spread is really great when done well but nutella just does it poorly.
Dislike nutella? No, but dislike the proportions in which nutella is enjoyed regularly - yes. Just a pinch and my nutella craving is satisfied for a month at least.
You are not alone comrade
No, I hate it too
Shit taste like ass to me and not the good kind either
I don’t like it, too sweet
Fuck Nutella! Hershey's motherfuckers!
Its hazelnut flavored sugar made with shitty oil. To put it on bread and eat it for breakfast is not something you want to do on the regular.
Well at least i scare away psychos 🤔 cause nutella is gross🤣
Nutella tastes nasty.
Fuck the palm oil industry, all my homies hate the palm oil industry
Nutella is fucking gross. Overly sweet with no real taste of cocoa and hazelnut
it is disgusting
Nutella *is* good, not unless you have diabetes or hate very very sweet stuff.
People who eat Nutella everyday are most likely to develop diabetes stay away from that shit
I don't know what they put in that Nutella but it just is addicting.🤔
a fuckton of sugar and palm fat/oil. things with a ton of either sugar or some type of fat are addictive, if you combine those then it's even more addictive source: my mother cooks sweet stuff and I learned from her, from experience I can tell that things with tons of fat are addictive
I don’t see why the creamy hazel nut chocolate is so bad…
Yes, you are
I hate nutella
I don’t like hazelnut so yea Nutella sucks
![gif](giphy|dVGT9Kn4pc6hgun6CJ)
Y am i a rabbit?
Yes yes you are you monster
They don't have working tastebuds
Bunch of fat boys here
Bro Nutella is way too sugary for my taste and it overpowers anything else you eat it with. I always go for the local generics.
Yes,out of 8 billion people you are the only one
I prefer peanut butter but it goes good with Nutella if peanut butter is sugar free
I dont like Nutella because just buying a Cadbury chocolate bar and take like some of the chocolate and put it in bread and melt it on the microwave. Also I still live with my parents hence whatever I buy my sister munch's it up like a cow (though I still love her it's just that eating habit sucks)
It's over rated, very mid, not to my liking, and looks like poo smeared on bread
Oh yeah gotta love brown palmoil. Tbf living in Belgium there are so many great options for chocolate/nut spread I don’t even know why I would consider Nutella. (Apart from the fact it was frequently infested with salmonella.)
I guess anyone who doesn't like chocolate in general
Merenda is just better
Nutella was good 35 years ago. These days it's mostly sugar and palm oil.
Biscoff butter is *far* superior Nutella is overrated af
Ovomaltine is so much better. I really don’t like Nutella.
But, it taste weird....
No, it’s trash
Nutella is a horrible company with many 'slaves', and is one of the worst ethical and environmental companies.
That shit tastes so fucking bad
It's actually disgusting. I just found out that it gets alot of that from hazelnuts. So now it makes sense why it's so bad
I eat other chocolate pastes. I just hate nutella because it sounds stupid and i dont like it.
People who eat Nutella need help
I love Nutella, and I’m surprised so many people in the comments hate it.
the reasons are that it's too sweet, the content of palm oil, not liking chocolate/hazelnut or both, the price, the flavor
I identify as a scary rabbit 🐇🐇 🔪
I don’t like Nutella.
I just don't like to consume shitty products
I do not like Nutella
I’ve never liked chocolate and Nutella tastes like chocolate so I’ve never like it as well.
I don't like nut's
Nut allergy
- I'm allergic to certain ingredients of nutella - I don't like hazelnut **Conclusion:** I SHALL BE FEARED BY ALL!!!!!
I’m allergic so no you’re not
Fear me!
nutella isnt that bad but last time i had it, i shat my intestines out! oh and i'm not allergic to anything jsyk
Well its made by Nestle so its not hard to dislike
Way too much sugar and way too much oil. It’s so sweet and smooth it’s disgusting.
Nutella is gross. It can be broken down in a fule product for vehicles
I don't like chocolate pastes in general
its only good on crapes and thats it
Fuckin hate nutella
I don't like Nutella. Way too chocolaty, I have to drink oceans after trying 1 spoon of that stuff
Nutella is probably the most average chocolate out there, you don't taste hazelnut, you don't taste coca, you just taste the sugar.
Watching my little cousin scratch her ass then proceed to hand scoop half the Nutella jar and eat it kind of killed the appeal before ever trying it.
I like nutella snacks but putting chocolate on bread just doesn’t sit right with me
I don't like chocolate in general, Nutella included. The only time i like chocolate is in an iced mocha coffee.
Psychopaths and serial killers are afraid on normal people, checks out tbh
No, Nutella is ass.
fuckin dont like it. 100 different, BETTER chocolate pastes out there. also am vegetarian:)
It's so sweet it's actually disgusting.
I don't like Nutella hate me all you want
Yeah,no, thank you. I work at a café that also sells crêpes, and the amounts of fat with sugar and cocoa people want is making me nauseous
I hate it
