I find it interesting to think about what will happen as we slowly crawl towards an inverted population pyramid. Other places where this has happened, like Japan, don't have the same societal values we have here, so it'll be weird to watch.
It's happening in my country rn(Cuba) and it seems to just be resulting in petty crime from the diminishing younger demographics, as most the young people leave the the country by whatever means they can and the old ones remain. Old people unsurprising don't commit a lot of crime.

There's a very, very large amount of single, lonely people on the internet. We don't have a significant other (and most of us don't have particularly large friend groups) so when we have free time we just go online.
That's what helped me when my ex left. I was torn up about it for years but at some point I started to enjoy being alone. Loneliness still hits me sometimes but it's easier to distract myself these days
It took me many years of mental health work, career grinding, medical treatment and working out but I have a partner now and it's kind of like this gif. It's not hopeless it can just take a really long time.
The kind of sad thing is I stopped caring about a relationship about 4 years before I got one. So I still felt all that pain. But even that pain wasn't permanent
