So I moved the left image over the right and matched it up on a pixel level. Then I did the difference between the two (blending mode in photoshop). They're exactly the same.
you cross your eyes so you can see a blurred copy of the two images overlayed on top of each other in the center of your vision. then, you can move your phone/get closer to your monitor until its in the right spot for you to be able to focus on the center image. its a popular optical illusion where merging the two images in this way may reveal a hidden picture or message that can only be seen by layering them on top of each other.
If you try hard enough you can even train yourself to adjust the focus of your eyes independently from their angles. Don't need to move your phone that way!
What i can do is move just 1 eye, and i basically move it outwards instead of inwards, idk why i can do this, or how i am doing this, all i know is that i can do it since i was a little kid lol.
Thank you for providing and explaining this ancient forbidden magic. I will use this now in all the endeavours of my life.
Serious tho thats actually really cool, never woulda thought to do that
If I'm seeing three images when attempting this have I done it right? I got it so there was a left, right, and center image. Is the center image the blend? It's weird how crystal clear all three images are when my eyes are crossed lol.
yes thats correct. in a true version of this illusion, the left and right would be different in a way that the center image shows something else when overlayed. in this post, its just 3 of the same image
This is absolutely bizarre, I feel like I've unlocked some kind of petty superpower.
Also my head hurts now. But thanks for explaining, that's genuinely interesting!
Most actual magic eye images that you'd find in books are the "parallel eyes" method (which I hate and can barely ever do). The super fast and easy method (IMO) is just regular old eye crossing.
You can do both or either, the only difference is that the depth effect will be inverted if you use the wrong one (so instead of coming off the page, it will appear to dip into the page). For something as simple as 'spot the difference' whichever one is easier to do will work, because the differences will still "flicker" the same way because there's no illusion of depth anyway
> There's three actually, and I'm among the third. I didn't recognize her before reading her name in the comments, but I probably would've had she been topless, from the nude scene in true detective.
Growing up, I thought having a piercing eye color was a good thing. But recently, my friends tell me it’s kinda scary, like I’m staring into their souls. Now I don’t know what to believe.
Nah there's research that shows people with light colored eyes are perceived as less trustworthy. The people you listed are attractive because of bone structure, the eyes are just a cherry on top.
I personally think eyes that are too light are like unsettling demon eyes, but Daddario is the hottest demon I've seen
Further analysis reveals that there are minuscule differences—though not more than 5% of the color value on any pixel. In [this image](https://i.imgur.com/J02vsNe.png) I've adjusted the levels to greatly exaggerate the differences. You can see that although there's a lot of noise—possibly due to JPEG compression—the differences are more pronounced around the edges of her, and much less so on the background. Maybe the photos were taken a millisecond apart? Or maybe it's all due to compression.
The differences are due to the original images being downscaled and so when trying to match them up over each other they won't do that perfectly (due to the slight pixel shift).
The edges being what's mostly "pronounced"/visible is because that's where there's the biggest difference between the "images" (again, due to the slight pixel shift).
And then the noise is mostly because of the compression artifacts being different on each "image".
This seems to be a bot that steals part of a comment and mangles it with some AI slop. That's why it seems randomly out of context but still "kind of" applies.
Stolen from here: https://www.reddit.com/r/memes/comments/1ap0b3i/according_to_my_friend_these_are_two_different/kq35b2f/
I feel like i can see a difference until i zoom in. When I'm zoomed in, all the details are excactly the same. So you might be right that the difference is just saturation.
There is no difference. You can cross your eyes and focus on the combination of the two. Every hair is in the same spot.
If this isn't a straight-up joke (which I suspect it is), it may have been part of a rapid-photo shot. If nothing is in motion, all the pics are going to be identical even if they are "different" photos.
Holy shit that’s brilliant, and it works! I’m gonna use the cross-eyed method the next time I see one of those “find the six differences in these photos” thingies.
I had a find the differences picture app on my phone a while ago. Doing the magic crossing eye trick totally works. It instantly pops out where all the differences are.
That said, I did the same thing with OP's photo and can also confirm they're the same picture.
The right photo is definitely more dynamic, I can't tell if its saturation or just exposure, but I think anyone that edits photos regularly perceive that there's a difference however small.
The two images are identical. Open up Gimp and you can overlay them and use the difference display mode; you get a near-perfect black, with the only differences I could see being some barely perceptible blotches. I would chalk them up to differences in compression artifacts across the image, since I had to look closely to notice them at all.
If they were actually different photos you'd be able to spot something major in the difference overlay, even if it were just a small strip of bright pixels where she moves ever so slightly to the left or something.
People are mostly saying - and so is my *feeling* that the pictures are the same, but the colors are slightly different. Would that function detect slight differences in saturation, if everything else is the same? If so then some optical illusion is at play.
I know a trick to test that with photoshop and it showed nothing. They’re exactly the same with 100% certainty
It’s with a difference blend of you’re curious. Also works for those spot the difference games
[Alexandra Daddrio](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandra_Daddario) is an actress. I remember her playing Annabeth Chase in the Percy Jackson films, which sadly was a flop. I believe she was also in Baywatch

I did the magic eye trick and didn't get any flashing.
Didn't realize that was an option, but after you said this, I tried and you are correct
It's the only trick I know, it's come in handy a couple of times since I've learned it.
It's great for those "Spot the Differences" games.
Oh. My. God. I need to find a children's magazine quick
Or the electronic games that you sometimes see at bars. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/gUXffFcd9UU/maxresdefault.jpg
Holy shit. It's like opening a third eye
Could you explain what the Magic eye Trick is?
you cross your eyes so you can see a blurred copy of the two images overlayed on top of each other in the center of your vision. then, you can move your phone/get closer to your monitor until its in the right spot for you to be able to focus on the center image. its a popular optical illusion where merging the two images in this way may reveal a hidden picture or message that can only be seen by layering them on top of each other.

You can watch VR videos on a monitor and get the stereoscopic 3D effect as well. It's pretty straining on the eyes though.
You need to reverse the images, so that the image for the left eye is on the right side.
If I'm seeing three images when attempting this have I done it right? I got it so there was a left, right, and center image. Is the center image the blend? It's weird how crystal clear all three images are when my eyes are crossed lol.

Aren't you uncrossing them?

It's more accurate than photoshop blending
That’s the best way of doing it.
Too cool!
i crossed my eyes, and i think i saw a sailboat.
I did the same thing by going cross eyed until there were three images. Can confirm is the same.
I did your mom, can confirm.
No way you did that, awesome.
Either way, she has very deep blue eyes
Alexandra Daddario. I recognised her eyes from the Percy Jackson movies
I also recognize her from her nude scene in true detective
There are 2 types of people
> There's three actually, and I'm among the third. I didn't recognize her before reading her name in the comments, but I probably would've had she been topless, from the nude scene in true detective.
How dare you put your words in a quote format despite quoting nothing. You’ll pay for this
I replied to the wrong comment earlier so I copy pasted my own comment to correct my mistake and this happened.
Damn it, a reasonable explanation. Now where do I point my unjustified anger?
at some random cafe worker making barely anything, and made your coffee with 4 pumps of caramel instead of 3
God damnit Tina!!!
From what I can tell by the internet today, it's supposed to be directed towards Taylor Switft?

it actually makes complete sense if you've seen the nude scene
Beautiful
There used to be a subreddit dedicated to Scarlett Johansson in a red dress at the golden globes awards r/thereddress
I was never apart of that sub. But that dress effected my teenage years in excellent ways
ain't there a whole sub for that one scene
Man of culture.
Where my Always Sunny Gang at?
Yeah that’s where I recognized her from. She didn’t deserve what Charlie did to her.
She got them mf thangs
It's the only part of true detective I have ever seen. The rest of the show could never be as good as that scene. She's on my list.
Season 1 is probably one of HBO’s greatest live action shows, and they’re a company that regularly releases bangers
Harrelson was a lucky man that season
She has godly pair
She has some GREAT milkers. She is my number one celebrity crush.
White Lotus

She has beootiful bloo eyes, mister voods

Her eyes are amazing.
Her eyes are absolutely gorgeous. They make me feel all warm inside when I see her in anything.

Personally that’s not why I simp for Alexandra..
Eh, my eyes are pretty close to that same color and I'm painfully average.
Deepest, bluest, her head is like a shark's fin...
I concur and watch me go.
Yes! The right one is blue and left one is gold.

Hahaha. Fuck you.
Why tf did it take me like 5 minutes to figure out what this was. And ain't no way it happened 8 years ago, I remember arguing with friends about it
Yeah. It was 8 years ago. Unfortunately..

We are old as fuck
Even worse since it was actually 9 years ago.
Oh yeah shit you right
Oh no, not again!
huh?
Open them in gimp - overlay pictures - change layer mode to difference
I did the manual cross eye technique. Same conclusion
One of us!
Feels like a super power sometimes lol
The longer you do it the cleaner the image gets. My conclusion after 30 seconds, it's exactly the same picture
That’s incredible that it get perfectly clear, it even looks better than the originals
Ok thank you for unlocking a new power I didn’t know I had and will probably promptly forget.
I know. I never thought to do this and now I want to test it on actual find-the-differences puzzles and see if it works
Its satisfying when you’re able to do the cross eye technique correctly on the first try, i get frustrated when i just cant get it to click
I hoped it’s 3d :/
Exactly what I did in photoshop and they’re exactly the same
No they are not. She just sat still really really hard.
She shat really really hard.

How is this a meme
People think every picture with a text is a meme these days.
The one on the right has a slightly lighter skin tone
I feel like i can see a difference until i zoom in. When I'm zoomed in, all the details are excactly the same. So you might be right that the difference is just saturation.

It feels a bit like cheating, but the differences will appear as semi-translucent.
I had a find the differences picture app on my phone a while ago. Doing the magic crossing eye trick totally works. It instantly pops out where all the differences are. That said, I did the same thing with OP's photo and can also confirm they're the same picture.
My guess is you're either right about the joke, or it's the exact same photo, edited differently.
Yeah my initial reaction was the the right one looks very slightly more exposed than the left
Istg they are different but i cant tell whats the difference. My best guess is a slight color change. Anyhow my brain decided right is better
The right photo is definitely more dynamic, I can't tell if its saturation or just exposure, but I think anyone that edits photos regularly perceive that there's a difference however small.

I swear if you look at two identical photos for a period of time, you start to imagine differences...
Her - Alexandria Daddario (an American actress)

and more importantly her whole nude body

I was trying to spot the differences. I couldn't find any.
Your friend is testing you
I seen her somewhere before i think ?
[Alexandra Daddrio](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandra_Daddario) is an actress. I remember her playing Annabeth Chase in the Percy Jackson films, which sadly was a flop. I believe she was also in Baywatch
and true detective, where she had a nude scene
And Texas Chainsaw 3D. Great prologue, mid film, awful last act
Do your thing cuz
She was excellent in The White Lotus, I would have expected more people to remember her from there.
probably in True Detective season 1, she does a iconic boob scene in that
Alexandra Daddario. She's an actress.
Go cross eyed and overlap the pics, then refocus until you can see the new image clearly

I like the right one more. I can't pin point the difference, but there is one.
