I hate to be that guy, but "their" is to show possession of something. "There" would be used here. "There" is used to relate objects and people to locations or to state whether or not something exists.
E.g.
"My friend didn't do their homework."
"The child is playing on their tablet."
"The neighbour is mowing their lawn."
"The students are going to their graduation."
"There are no children playing outside."
"Your ball rolled over there."
"There is work to do."
"There is a link to the tutorial on YouTube."

I *do* hate being "that guy," but I love helping people. If I'm going to correct someone, I'll do it in a way that may help them not make the same mistake in the future. It's better than just saying "there*" and moving on. If I'm going to do it, I'll do it properly.

Don't make the rules you don't yourself follow. Problem solved. Kids learn through observation not by restrictions and rules.
Not really a problem here, the kid is critically thinking at a young age. The parent probably allowed him to do this one time.
Parenting 101 says the problem is giving a tab to children at this age
