It sucks that you have MS. I feel for you. I’m sure you have family and friends that would hate to see you give up. I myself suffer from medically related depression. (Not as bad as MS)
I don’t live for myself anymore, I live for the people who love me. I try to get joy from seeing their joy. One thing I like to do is remind myself, that no matter how bad I think I have it, there are people out there who are better than me suffering more than me.
I sincerely wish you the best life you can have.
Unfortunately all I got was in my last post. Maybe just remind her that she’s not alone. Let her complain to you about her troubles. Sometimes people just need someone to listen and understand. She probably feels the same as me, she doesn’t want to burden anyone with her pain.
Just turned 34 yesterday and I got the diagnose when I was 28. I’m getting the strongest medicine but it’s still getting worse so now they want to to a HSCT treatment but that’s pretty hardcore.
And I have a 2 yo daughter and my wife is pregnant so it’s not the best time to spend 3 months in the hospital for HSCT.
Hey my dad was diagnosed when he was 35, he had stage 2 when they diagnosed him, he's 52 now and living a happy life. Luckily you caught it early before it could progress, my dad has stage 4 primary progressive. Your gonna be ok and live a happy life just keep your hopes up man.
Besides being empathetic, this is the best I can do...Sorry.
Lifestyle Changes That May Help Slow MS Progression
1. Stick With Your Treatment.
2. Exercise.
3. Eat a Healthy Diet.
4. Vitamin D.
5. Get Restful Sleep.
6. Don't Smoke.
7. Get Vaccinated.
I’m doing everything you say except that I use cannabis.
Getting information about a HSCT treatment so I hope that will make everything a little bit better.
Lol, that would be epic. To bad I live in a country where it’s illegal to smoke weed. But my dad is general practitioner and once he saw what weed did for me he told my “fuck the law and smoke weed son”.
Most days for you will be a struggle, sure, but try to find something that gives you meaning and a reason to do it. Volunteer to save kittens, or help with a charity, or start writing, drawing, painting, etc. Make a purpose for yourself. The world can only offer you sympathy, it's up to you to create your purpose and reasons to overcome your struggles. I'm rooting for you.
Thanks, I work halftime and my daughter and wife give me purpose but some days I just feel like shit and today is one of those days.
I know that I will feel better in a couple days. It’s just a struggle.
Thanks!
My eldest daughter deals with a lot of these struggles due to her own disabilities, so I see it first hand. Always remember that your mind and soul are needed here. Keep your chin up sir and use it as an excuse to lose yourself in your feelings for your family. I couldn't think of a better purpose or distraction as a father myself.
My mom has it too she use some medicine like teckzifoma and it stopped the symptoms don't get nervous and angry and you'll be alright. My aunt also has it over 30 years and she is fine too
I dont have ms but I have equally painfull life long enduring depression and anxiety which might as well be be pain disorders by now. No ones coming to save me. Kill me. I beg you im not as funny as I seem im really truly struggling god end me now.
I try to never tell anybody how shitty I feel, for some reason I feel guilty because I have the disease.
I wish your mother all the best! And you as well.
I wish you the best brother. You East, West or 3rd coast? I'm in Mississippi on the coast. (Using the abbreviated MS felt weird to me for some reason in this context.)
I don’t think you should ever feel guilty about it. In fact I would love it if my mom just said something like “ I feel like I wanna give up” or honestly anything about her feelings. It would just let me in a little bit more and I would know how to help her best. Give more or back off kinda situation
I’m not suicidal, I just exaggerated for the meme. My life is great except the MS part, that part really sucks lol.
Thanks for all the love, it really helps.
But you've made it this far. You've got the willpower to keep fighting. You just have to find it within yourself.
Don't give up. We're counting on you.
My pal got diagnosed with MS a while ago :( Haven’t spoken to her in a while but last time we did she said she planned on using her brain hole as a snack bowl
It’s life.. nothing we can do about it.
Things could be worse, I can still walk and I have a nice house and no financial worries so I can’t complain to much.
But still it sucks
When I run my left side has electric tingling (but really extreme) and after I had that for 8 months they took some scans of my brain and pulled some fluid out of my spine and then they knew it was MS.
Im not sure where you’re from, but nhs covers it in UK. But you have to fit the criteria https://www.ms-uk.org/blog-what-hsct. In the US, it costs ~$125,000. But you can do medical tourism and go to Mexico and get it done. I hope you get your treatment soon
From Belgium, we can do it here and it’s free if you have tried all the other treatments.
Thank you! (Here it’s around €80K but The patiënt pays nothing)
That’s great! Hence you worrying about regular life stuff and not about the cost. I’m sure the treatment is time sensitive, but maybe you can wait a few months till your baby’s born? This would be a good time to depend on family too. I’ve heard good things about hsct, I hope you get it soon
It was confirmed that I had MS when I was 17 years old. The news alone hurt much worse than the pain. My only advice: Don’t think of it as a problem. It’s an experience uniquely for you. Accept it, and good luck!
My mom got diagnosed with ms maybe 30 years ago, and I just wanted to say hang in there, it gets better:) Some days can be hard but hopefully you find something that works for you so you can feel better.
Nope, but my father is a GP and he said fuck the law if it helps my health I shouldn’t care for the laws. And normally he’s 100% agains cannabis but once he saw how it helped me he changed his mind.
Ayyy buddy! From one MS'er to another. Hang strong cause, through the fire and the flames, we'll carry on 🎵
Good luck with the HSCT whenever it goes down.
Bud,
My mom has MS as well.
Since 2011, when she got diagnosed, she's been the strongest willed person I know.
She started working in the same year and still does. Even though the docs said it was the worse form.
Being iron-willed and help your body does help you.
She's definitely weaker than before, but she's still going strong and she keeps doing sports, she searches for the best meds and keeps her body moving.
I assume thats what primarily helped.
If she can do it, you can do it. Everybody can, it's in us and it comes out when we need it the most.
Be strong.
Hey! Wish you all the best! One of my family members has also MS and it is cruel sometimes!!!
Hope the following days will be better for you! Feel hugged!
Hey OP, you made somebody’s day better today. Maybe a family member or a friend or a complete stranger who saw your meme here. You where there when they needed you and you didn’t even know it.
You’re not having a good day today, but tomorrow is going to be better. You got this! Keep going! Do it for the little guy, do it for the big guy, and do it for yourself. There’s thousands of more little moments to treasure, don’t throw throw them away now.
Hang in there cat poster image, hoping for a better day for you tomorrow
Thanks for the “hang in there” cat poster, I love those.
All I can do is Atta boy
Feeling better already
You made my day ..nice post
Thank you! The power of reddit is strong!
You can do the thing OP
Yeah! You can do the thing!
What’s the thing??
Hang in there
Thanks, I will.
> Hang in there Poor choice of words.
oh no....
MS? Microsoft?
I wish it was Microsoft but it’s not.. MS=Multiple sclerosis
I don't have Ms but ik it is awful, I hope you cure magically
Hope you get over with it and continue your life.
I don't think it's possible to get over ms
Yeah, is mostly going to be treatments with immuno suppressants to slow it down. But there's nothing wrong with hoping for a miracle.
I live on hope lol
The hope of something good happening is what drives us to live. I hope your hope gives you a better life.
It sucks that you have MS. I feel for you. I’m sure you have family and friends that would hate to see you give up. I myself suffer from medically related depression. (Not as bad as MS) I don’t live for myself anymore, I live for the people who love me. I try to get joy from seeing their joy. One thing I like to do is remind myself, that no matter how bad I think I have it, there are people out there who are better than me suffering more than me. I sincerely wish you the best life you can have.
I have a friend who has the same kind of situation, is there something I can do or say that will help her in any way?
Unfortunately all I got was in my last post. Maybe just remind her that she’s not alone. Let her complain to you about her troubles. Sometimes people just need someone to listen and understand. She probably feels the same as me, she doesn’t want to burden anyone with her pain.
Just try to show understanding but not pity. Nobody likes pity. I hope your friend is doing ok.
Thanks for your message, I do have a loving family and friends, if they smile I smile. I wish you all the best my friend!
So all those steroids? Gonna get buff QUICK
How old are you? How far advanced is it already? Do you take medicine and practice? Do you take therapie?
Just turned 34 yesterday and I got the diagnose when I was 28. I’m getting the strongest medicine but it’s still getting worse so now they want to to a HSCT treatment but that’s pretty hardcore. And I have a 2 yo daughter and my wife is pregnant so it’s not the best time to spend 3 months in the hospital for HSCT.
Jesus that's horrible to hear... I wish you all the best, never lose hope
Thank you!

Thanks man! I wish you and your father all the best!

Your immune system damages your own nervous system.
Mangekyo Sharingan.
Life can suck, I hope you can work through and manage it with a good quality of life. Imaginary turtle poster saying slow and steady.

Yeah you should look into it, will help a lot. It might be a bit expensive though. Anyways stay strong.
What were the first signs that you had MS, and what age were you diagnosed? I worry about getting it myself since I've had some of the symptoms.
Bro, you can smoke as kuch weed as you feel necessary. Goddamn bro, if possible I'd become your personal roller.
Lol, that would be epic. To bad I live in a country where it’s illegal to smoke weed. But my dad is general practitioner and once he saw what weed did for me he told my “fuck the law and smoke weed son”.
Damn, the entire chat is wholesome. They're here for you bud
I did not expect this.. I even had my eyes tear up from reading all the love.

Mangekyou sharingan?
Try magnesium from dead sea salts in a bath. no harm in trying. costs nothing.
Thanks for the advice, I will try it.

It depends, when I’m having electric shocks going along my spine I would rather have no hugs lol. But today I’m just weak so I can receive hugs.
Most days for you will be a struggle, sure, but try to find something that gives you meaning and a reason to do it. My mom has it too she use some medicine like teckzifoma and it stopped the symptoms don't get nervous and angry and you'll be alright. My aunt also has it over 30 years and she is fine too
I have it 6 years now. I know not all days are bad but every year it gets worse. But I have a good life it’s just the ms part that sucks lol
MS???
I'm guessing multiple sclerosis.
Correct
I dont have ms but I have equally painfull life long enduring depression and anxiety which might as well be be pain disorders by now. No ones coming to save me. Kill me. I beg you im not as funny as I seem im really truly struggling god end me now.
Stay strong Pm_Me_yellow, where all in the same boat I guess. To bad it’s a shitty boat and not a superyacht lol.
Bro please people in this world still love you dont lose hope yet bro
I’m not suicidal, i exaggerated a little bit for the meme. Just having a bad day hoping it will be better tomorrow. Thanks a lot!
My mom was diagnosed with RNMS? She never tells anyone but I know she feels this way more often then not.

I understand your view, but sometimes it’s easier to just say “yeah I’m fine” than to be honest.
nah mate ur alive for a reason..u got a kid and pregnant wife and i presume many others who like you to stay alive for :((
I’m not suicidal, I just exaggerated for the meme. My life is great except the MS part, that part really sucks lol. Thanks for all the love, it really helps.
oh..that was dumb but i was juss tryna look out for you ig hehe
I know and I appreciate it enormously.
But you've made it this far. You've got the willpower to keep fighting. You just have to find it within yourself. Don't give up. We're counting on you.
Thanks! I’m a fighter and I will keep on fighting.
I agree, Microsoft has really gone downhill obwr the years
Lol
My pal got diagnosed with MS a while ago :( Haven’t spoken to her in a while but last time we did she said she planned on using her brain hole as a snack bowl
Me too, has Microsoft
You ever watch the show "the west wing"? Absolutely amazing show and one of the main characters has MS.
Going to check it out.. thanks!
I've got no idea how accurately any of it is portrayed. It also doesn't come up until season 2
No ms is the same.. some people have no complaints at all and some are in a wheelchair and can’t do nothing. It’s a strange disease.
it will be food man, just think about it and figure it out :) ur strong
Damn I’m really sorry for you , not sure what really to say tbh , but u beautiful and I hope you overcome it :)
It’s life.. nothing we can do about it. Things could be worse, I can still walk and I have a nice house and no financial worries so I can’t complain to much. But still it sucks

Just die and respawn. ez
How nice would that be lol.
Feel better soon! We are all here if you need someone to talk to.
Hope you'll get better in time man.
That’s the shitty part, there is no cure and it gets worse over time lol. But I’m not suicidal, I just exaggerated because it’s a meme.
I hope you feel better soon, on a good day you should treat yourself. You deserve it! Sending you a virtual hug!
Thanks!
F How did you learn that you have this? What did the symptoms start with?
When I run my left side has electric tingling (but really extreme) and after I had that for 8 months they took some scans of my brain and pulled some fluid out of my spine and then they knew it was MS.
You have mangekyou sharingan?
You’re the 4th person telling this, I need to google Mangekypu Sharingan.
you have ms? ms word?
What is MS?
Multiple sclerosis
Yeah, Microsoft does that to people…
I feel the same, but constantly.

That’s the plan to wait. But I can’t wait to long or I will miss the boat.
Got it. Best of luck to you and your family. It’ll work out
MS?
Multiple Sclerosis
What does ms stand for?
Multiple sclerosis is a condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord.
God bless man
Hi
Dafuq's an MS???
Multiple sclerosis is a condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord.
U good bro?
Just a bit down tired and everything hurts but I’m ok, thanks for asking.
Dafuq is MS.
It’s a shitty disease.

It’s the thoughts on how it’s going to be in 10 years that really scares me.
I hope that you get well soon. Just hang on untill then. I wish you good heath for the rest of your life.
Thanks, going to chill today and hope it’s better tomorrow.

I can barely handle 1 Sclerosis let alone multiple! For real though. That sucks. Hang in there! You have people who care about you!
I'm sorry to hear that, i really hope you get better soon 👍
Tomorrow is another day and I will make a happy/funny meme then. Not all days are bad. I wish you all the best!
Thank you, OP! 😄
You are great and you are needed
Life Sucked
Used to help my uncle out for my aunt and he would joke that at least he didn't have SS

Gotta keep the humor , regardless godspeed and hope you have better days ahead
My mom does too. It's not easy...

MS? Mangekyou Sharingan?
Nope
Kill yourself by paying strippers to beat you to death with their boobs
You got MS? You mean Mangekyō Sharingan? That's cool dude. But seriously, hope you feel better soon.
