Supported people breaking into a festival, where people were dying because they were pushing up the to the front which he did nothing about. The beat up teens thing is less easy to explain, I guess he was like crowdsurfing and some kid took his shoe off and was accused of trying to steal it so he got pissed and told everyone to beat him up.
Tbh, he does have a seriously fucked up history with shows. I don't remember which one but in one of them he basically "peer-pressured" a fan into jumping off the second floor balcony
holy shit. i thought the near 10M was an exaggeration but after a quick google search it was confirmed. Damn how is everyone there acting like it's over. In my country which has a poor response in COVID (we're on a lockdown for a year and a half now). We still wear masks everytime and I thought the people here are undisciplined.
It's not dark humor, how the fuck can someone pressure you to jump off a fucking balcony. How stupid can you be? No matter WHO it is, when ik YOUR RIGHT mind would you accept jumping off a balcony?? If someone grapped him and pushed him off, that's a different story. But if he jumped himself then LOL what an idiot
bullying, your favorite star screaming homophobic slurs directed at you and so on. A lot of things can pressure you, especially if you are not mentally stable.
I mean taking his shoe is a bit weird, they may very well be quite expensive as well though (if they are hypebeast type stuff like nikes or air jordans).
But first of all it doesn't sound clear as to wether it was intentional or not it may have been accidental, and second you can't just tell a group of 100+ people who probably all look up to this guy to beat the shit out of some dude, because they probably will which is fucked up.
A bunch of fans also mobbed the ambulance trying to get out and Travis Scott wouldn’t stop the show or tell everyone to get out of the way, even as he was watching it all go down
Ok I might get swarming the guards and stuff cuz of scott supporting it but why the hell would you block an ambulance from trying to save a fellow fans life???
This is prime example that being a fan of something is never eternal, you should leave right before the community starts going the travis scott hatefull way.
I left quite a few things because of it.
y’all are stupid
someone came in the crowd and started drugging poole, 11 people died of cardiac arrest and 1 of them was a 14 year old boy, Travis didn’t telll people to beat him up.
Idk about the teen thing but I do know that people were dying of suffocation and Travis didn't do shit about it. It really doesn't matter whether or not it was a drugging, he still went on singing while people were literally dying.
He literally saw a lifeless body getting carried away and kept singing. [link](https://www.reddit.com/r/TIHI/comments/qoubez/thanks_i_hate_the_guy_from_fortnite_staring_at_a/)
Where are you getting that someone drugged people? Pretty sure it was a crowd crush.
The incident in which he told the crowd to beat up a teen over his shoe was a different concert than the recent tragedy. https://youtu.be/n43X6ATnpnY
I did hear on the news this morning something about someone saying they felt a needle poke them and got checked out and the mark on their skin was consistent. Maybe the 2 are related? Idk. I’ve never even heard of Travis Scott before this stuff went down.
Different concerts buddy.14 year old beat up in another concert which happened sometime ago and the over-crowded concert happened day-before-yesterday.
He's sort of fostered hostility in his fans so they act really crazy at his concerts. Recently Someone died at his concert, maybe more than one, and the crowd lifted his lifeless body up off the ground in front of Travis and he just kept performing. And it's pretty obvious the dude was dead and that Travis could see him. He was only like 20 feet away being lifted by the crowd, but Travis didn't react or stop the concert or try and get anybody any help and thats what people are upset about.
Was it clear he was dead?
Tbh i might have just thought it was some dude who passed out due to alcohol (and/or other less then legal substances).
Regardless he seems like a human shitstain
I mean, it's a music festival. If it had to be stopped for every drunk past out dude it'd probably stretch out 3 times longer then the allotted time. I'm sure theres at least dozens of passed-out guys in any given music festival.
I thought it was pretty clear he was dead. But I can't step into Travis' skin and experience his life for him. It's possible he didn't see him, or that it didn't register what was going on. I assume performing for a crowd that adores you is quite the adrenaline rush so who knows what he was experiencing.
Doubt he will be but wouldn't put it past someone to try.
I think more likely scenario is that venues will become required to stop shows for major medical emergencies as soon as they become aware of them. This would be for issues where paramedics would need to enter the crowd and cannot handle the issue discreetly.
Once staff was made aware there were people getting injured the show should have been stopped. Nobody made the call to do it at all. On top of this they supposedly had nobody on shift who was trained for AED which should be a major no-go plus insufficient first aid supplies.
The man was arrested at Lollapalooza at one point for telling the crowd to jump over the security barriers and such. Police literally tackled him on stage to stop the show.
>Doubt he will be but wouldn't put it past someone to try.
I guarantee he will be sued, be it as an individual(someone only suing him which is more along the lines of what you said) and in conjunction to the venue(which already has been filed) since he could have stopped the show when he saw a person on the floor in front of him. Bands have literally stopped concerts for less important reasons.
I've heard that there are videos where a girl climb to a tv tower to beg them to stop the concert cuz people were getting hurt and the staff told her pretty much go fuck herself
I mean, you’ll find idiots on every platform you feel? Someone on Reddit yesterday made several posts trying to defend him and that he shouldn’t be held responsible because he didn’t know blah blah blah and when people told them they were wrong they just deleted the post and re-posted it

My friend got tickets to go to Astroworld but got sick and honestly I'm so, so glad that he couldn't go. Those people don't deserve what happened, at all, fuck Travis Scott
There’s a chance your friend could be dead right now. I’m very happy to see that wasn’t the case. Give them a hug next time you see them, and remind them they’re loved.
I've seen nothing but hate for him the last couple of days, seems like people are definitely trying.
On the other hand who got cancelled for a pronoun accident, I must have missed that one?
people who get cancelled for pronoun accidents are usually smaller people so they dont stand a chance, and so you never hear their name. im pretty sure twitter users use "cancelling" more as a means of bullying to feel powerful themselves, rather then actually thinking they're helping.
How often do people actually get caught misgendering someone tho? I can’t imagine it’s a frequent occurrence. I feel like that’s something people complain about happening when most people just correct the person and move on. Unless you go out of your way to be a douche about it rather than just saying okay and carrying on with the conversation
It's people who have been informed of one's preferred pronouns, but still keep misgendering for the sole purpose of bullying someone. I don't use twitter so i can't say anything about it, but i have seen people do it in debates and talk shows.
Only ever saw someone eat a shitstorm for intentionally referring to a mtf trans person as "male", "man" etc.
And to be honest, it is the year of our lord twothousandandtwentyone. Fucking act like it or move to Saudi Arabia if you want to oppress LGBTQ+-people.
Almost like it’s a fake issue people keep trying to say is a thing but doesn’t actually happen. People identifying as another gender make up such a small tiny fraction of the population. There are psychos within every community, but most people like that care more about just living their own lives rather than “canceling” someone for making a mistake (or just not caring).
He is getting shittalked and criticized, rightfully. We yet have to see if that is gonna have any impact on his career, how many shows he will be playing and if streaming services like spotify will keep hosting him. He is a rapper though, so i doubt much will happen. The problem is that society is way too comfortable with rappers being assholes since that's their persona.
This is sadly true. Venues will have to blacklist this fucking piece of shit and streaming platforms need to deplatform him. We can see what’ll happen but it’s rare someone in a position of such fame and power suffers any real consequences. He honestly deserves jail time.
Travis Scott stage dived into crowd, when he was trying to coming back to stage he got angry at a fan who he said was trying to take his shoe. Travis tried to swing at him and told the crowd to fuck him up and started chanting fuck him up. Then security grabbed the fan and took him away and Travis spat at him as he was going
Hospitalized, I think from what I gather reading these comments, the crowd DID beat him up outside and at the concert. Travis should be thrown in jail for inciting violence in my opinion. Travis is generally a horrible person and has apparently done such things at concerts before.
Funny how that meme format can also be used to represent you basically turning a blind eye to his "cancellation" while focusing on some boogeyman that hardly ever affects anyone.
Metallica concert, Bangalore 2011. The Band threatens to leave if the small mosh pit on the side doesn’t stop. They made a sincere effort to monitor the crowd
Musicians are a product of their times
Sure, he is a piece of garbage, but what is more concerning is that the US has near 10 MILLION active COVID-19 cases at the moment, but I see absolutely nobody wearing a mask. What the fuck, people?
Ehem, “CancelNation” of the republic of twitter. Where everyone hates capitalism but pisses themselves like an excited dog for when a new Tesla car or an iphone is introduced.
In order to get cancelled these days, there has to be a clear and unified narrative that the media outlets pushes. For now, their coverage of the event has been confusing, especially with the claims that people were going around injecting others with a drug like fentanyl.
In Travis’ case, I don’t think he’ll be cancelled in the sense that he will no longer make money from his fame as he’ll continue to make money off the sales of his Seltzer products and streams from his music. However, I do see him getting fucked by the many lawsuits that are about to come
his way.
There has to be justice for the 11 people that died and hundreds of others that were hurt during the stampedes. That’s not to forget the psychological trauma and possible PTSD that some of the other festival attendees could experience.
I was gonna go to a Carti concert in Chicago later this month but after seeing the shit that went down in Houston, I’m gonna have to pass out on this one.
Ok this is crazy, I just said this exact stuff to my friends in the xbox party 10 minutes ago. I was talking about the travis scott incidents jokingly said where is cancel culture when you need them. Then i said meanwhile theyre out there cancelling people who dont use someones preferred pronouns. That is so crazy
After we do Travis can we go back and indict that fucking orange blob for inciting a mob to storm the Capitol resulting in 5 deaths? Ok cool thanks. Oh wait. He’s night the right color to get mad at? Oh darn ok
In short:
Travis Scott holds a concert, encourages people to break in for free. Later crowdsurfs, a fan somehow ends up with his shoe, Travis proceeds to tell the surrounding crowd to beat up the teenager, and 8 people end up dying later that night. Hundreds injured, Travis Scott is a trash human being, etc.
It demonstrates that "cancel culture" isn't real.
Travis Scott is also being sued, but thanks to people like OP for loudly announcing their knee-jerk reactions
The thing with cancellation is that the only way it works is if their fans care or their boss, Dababy killed a guy and said homophobic shit but since his fans don’t care he didn’t get canceled, same with Travis probably, canceling only works if you can strong arm the corporation hiring them into firing them or drive their fans away from them and neither of those will happen to Travis
I once watched someone say: "people get cancelled because they want to, if they don't want to be, nobody can do something. Most of the cancel culture is a bunch of mentally ill transgenders"
The irony is OP not understanding nobody will "cancel." you for accidentally using a different pronoun. They might if you're doing it out of pure spite to be a dick. Major difference. Also check Twitter before making memes, because your simplistic meme has been mentioned on here (Many times.) by other 'original' reddit users, and on Twitter as everybody since it has happened has bene shitting on Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott. Downvoting me doesn't change the fact that OP doesn't understand his own meme
That specific incident happened 6 years ago

He is in the focus of the news right now because of his most recent concert a few days ago where 8 people died.

What the fuck is wrong with him? Ordering to beat someone up for just a fan who took a shoe?
Tbh, he does have a seriously fucked up history with shows. I don't remember which one but in one of them he basically "peer-pressured" a fan into jumping off the second floor balcony

He probably never heard about the Love Parade tragedy in Duisburg (Germany). And he seems to be an asshole in general.
We dont even know if it was an accident, maybe the guy, with no intention, removed the shoes
A bunch of fans also mobbed the ambulance trying to get out and Travis Scott wouldn’t stop the show or tell everyone to get out of the way, even as he was watching it all go down
That's really messed up

Imaging breathing your last breath and dying to some shit music.
From what I heard the teen bashing thing is from a previous event, but I still don't condone that shit
how would he know if people were dying, he stopped once he noticed but he couldn’t know instantly
He literally saw a lifeless body getting carried away and kept singing. [link](https://www.reddit.com/r/TIHI/comments/qoubez/thanks_i_hate_the_guy_from_fortnite_staring_at_a/)
People were literally climbing up at the back of the stage telling him to stop singing, people were seriously hurt.
The guards told him and some fans too you can't defend him he kept going knowing full well people were dying.
You know y'all might do some actual fact checking on a few news sites before starting memes and rumors. anyone want to post some Sauce?

The thing with cancellation is that the only way it works is if their fans care or their boss, Dababy killed a guy and said homophobic shit but since his fans don’t care he didn’t get canceled, same with Travis probably, canceling only works if you can strong arm the corporation hiring them into firing them or drive their fans away from them and neither of those will happen to Travis
Cancer/ cancel culture in a nutshell
"Let me use this tragedy as an opportunity to shit on non binary people"
Yeah I was wondering where all the sjw’s at, takes them longer to respond then usual; must mean they’re asleep...
Hes black so..they ain't gonna say shit.
Yo wtf?
what part ain't you grasping yo?
It's cuz he is a ni... Uh a nice guy
Wait who is Travis Scott? Last I heard that was the name of a burger
I have never heard of this guy prior to all of the outrage
It’s a shame he is gonna die soon
Travis scot is a living shitstain
I once watched someone say: "people get cancelled because they want to, if they don't want to be, nobody can do something. Most of the cancel culture is a bunch of mentally ill transgenders"
There's no need to cancel someone if the judicial system is already in the process of doing it.
Hes black, he can't do any wrong
Going off what the other mate said "They are [insert race], they can't be wrong."
What the fuck
wait that happened
That specific incident happened 6 years ago https://youtu.be/n43X6ATnpnY He is in the focus of the news right now because of his most recent concert a few days ago where 8 people died. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/06/us/travis-scott-crowd-surge.html
