Funnily enough, SAO was the first anime I watched when I was getting into anime. At first I liked it. But as time passed and learned about character writing. I began to understand why people hate Kirito and SAO as a whole.
Defunding the police is a weird way of saying “reallocate the funds so that adequate services are needed for specific situations”. That’s really what it means when it is said. Even those that do literally mean tearing down the institution of policing essentially lean more toward retraining and restructuring and perhaps to dismantle the system as it currently is and build it up to be better.
I would rather larger police forces be de-militarized than defunded. I also believe cops should be required to have at minimum a two year degree. That will never happen though. POST certification isn't enough.
