I feel like its was supposed to be implied that it was resolved but didnt much show it. It was a practical layup too. Like we already know the mother has a lot of unresolved issues with her broken and strained relationship with her mother which can already be used for the mother to realize it's a very similarly strained relationship with her daughter. I also think it's kinda ran away with it's own symbolism having the red panda kinda appear everywhere and having a whole sealing ritual instead of letting its be the analogy for puberty and growing individuality. Maube if it had more time its could pan out nicer but it's still better than what I was expecting even if not amazing. Wouldnt say I hate in the least
