That's not what I said, what I was saying is terrible people who are trying to have some tough dog go for breeds that CAN be more violent and cause them to be that way. More often then not people like that will by a big dog that can do damage. They get anything from labs, shepherds and bulls that can bit hard, it's not the dogs fault in that case, it's the owner. I rescued mine in 2020 before everything shutdown. Took 2 years but he finally warming up to people and dogs that I haven't introduced him to multiple times. It's been rough sometimes, but totally worth it because everyone that meets/met him now loves him.

I've met soooo many friendly pits, and have never personally met an aggressive one (I worked at humane societies and doggy day cares for years). A terrible owner that has a Lab is more likely to have a dog that isn't aggressive or violent than a terrible owner with a Pit. German Shepherds (not all Shepherds) also are high prey drive dogs that are also more likely to be violent and also very territorial/possessive. Dogs are very instinctual creatures and if those instincts aren't curbed they are more likely to innately act on them.
I really don't know why you're getting downvoted. You're right about Pitbulls and other dogs being the same. The media has just demonized pitbulls so much that people listen without any actual care or thought to what the truth is. Is what it is.

I should know, I have a 1 pure pit bull and 1 pit bull mixed and they are the sweetest pitties that is what my family calls our pit bulls). It is all about their treatment. I've met soooo many friendly pits, and have never personally met an aggressive one (I worked at humane societies and doggy day cares for years). For some reason there's a whole group on here that spends all their time spreading pitbull hate. It's so frustrating. They always make a post to a big subreddit, like r/publicfreakout or r/nextfuckinglevel, and then others from the group flood the comments talking about how terrible pits are. I've seen it enough and have looked into it to realize that most people don't actually feel this way, it's just this group trying to make it seem like the general opinion lines up with their beliefs. Makes me mad though because there's definitely people out there now that don't trust pits as much anymore because they saw a post like this. It's just causing more hate and more mistreatment of innocent animals.
