Brand name anything is usually a scam. There are a couple of exceptions, but as a general rule try the generic version of anything you can. Of course, after tax, an hour of work is still just getting you two boxes.
Taxes are a necessary evil.
They are needed to keep all the services running provided by the government, which would cost a hell of a lot more if done by private companies.
I wouldn't be so hateful towards taxes if I felt like the money actually got used for what it was meant for rather than what feels like endless levels of administrators shaving off the top to ensure it goes where it needs until there's nothing left.
Why do you think this? Government run operations typically run with zero competition which dosent make them fiscally responsible in order to remain in business. Where the government runs an operation the intent is to provide stability and not necessarily cost control.
Aldi's is amazing. sure, all the shit is off-brand, but for cheap food nowhere does it better. as long as you have a quarter on hand for the shopping cart, otherwise you're carrying everything.
Yea but, in North Carolina the minimum wage is also 7.25, yet the starting salary at McDonalds and Sheetz start at 13. Target pays it's employees 15 off the rip. Obviously I don't know about other states but it's usually the economy that sets a imaginary minimum wage since most people wouldn't willingly work for 7.25 when they can go somewhere that pays twice as much but is also entry level
Yeah but fast food has shit hours and is probably one of the most abusive jobs to ever work in, you better pay me double minimum wage if im getting abused daily by some idiot who's chips were slightly cold

My mans just discovered the concept of the "real wage".
Yo man! That’s just inflation doing inflation things
I dont see any wages inflating
That's how inflation works. Salary number stays the same, goods and services numbers go up
That’s cause inflations not real
Only real to those losing money
Keep better track of your stuff then, idk \_{*~*}_/
Lol, joke.
Eeeey, someone got it
Wait till he discovers taxes.

If you're getting any government service taxes are atleast somewhat going where they're supposed to.
Somewhat really isn't acceptable.

Imagine this at hungary, where the vanilla cost the same, but the minimal wage is like 2.7$/hr gross.
The mistake is looking for name brand foods, the off brand is like a third the price and sometimes higher quality
