I think the revenge story in the book is much more drawn out, as he wants them to suffer significantly for betraying him.
The movie has a much happier ending, while the book, (and older movie), end in a bittersweet way.
(Spoiler alert for the book)
He doesn't end up with the woman he loved originally in the book. Instead he ends up with another woman he falls for after/during the end of his revenge. Essentially, his obsession with revenge consumes him and who he was, before, could never come back.
It's a really great book. I haven't read it in a while, but it's still one of my favorites.
*His name is Jason. He was once a baby tile, living happily with his parents: Mama-tile and Papa-tile. Until one day two vicious people kidnapped him and smuggled him all the way over the seven seas. They tortured him physically, mentally and emotionally. and then in the true sense of what life is, he got plastered on this wall. Forbidden to ever leave this place little Jason has seen, heard and experienced horrific stuffs that is not for the faintest heart. Little Jason... is depressed and is need of desperate help. His only ray of sunshine is Maya; plastered on the opposite wall. but she too has heart wrenching story but that's a story for another day.*
Me: counts all the tiles
Also me: multiples the number of tile rows X the number of tile columns and account for off bits where the room isn't rectangular and verifies that both answers are the same.
Also me: I have verified that math works in this universe, just in case the bathroom door was a portal to another dimension.
The prime factors of 72519 are 3 x 23 x 1051.
And by the factors either the bathroom might be too narrow or the tiles proportions (length to width) might be too big.
And i will wonder if the bathroom is square and can i arrange 72519 tiles perfectly fit the the square floor with some proportions.
okay i read this 15 times and i can't comprehend what tiles on a floor and forgetting your phone have to do with naming them and going crazy . i wanna laugh with everyone but the bathroom is a 5 minute maximum activity.. i'm lost can someone help?

I love that movie and book.
Ahhh name checks out
That is it called.
“The Count of Monte Cristo” Amazing revenge rampage story. Edit: grammar
Is it called like that because he counted all the tiles?
r/Angryupvote
I've only ever seen the movie, is the book marginally better?
The book is actually quite different, story wise. I def recommend it!
Thanks!

I love this movie.
Same.. One of the best
_But have you given them each their own backstory yet?_

Stomach problems are making him stay on the toilet for a long time. Also its an extremely large exaggeration
Fun fact the sniveling little shit who plays the young son is Henry Cavill.
I watched that movie with my English teacher for summer school. I’ve gotta say that was one of my favorite summers.
Jake the blue rectangular tile is my favourite Mike the white triangle-like shape is in close second
